I can't have a perfect gang without Angel. My perfect gang is without Buffy though. Also, Buffy the Vampire slayer did have eight regulars in season 4 so I think the restriction should be eight.

If I get confirmation I can have 8 that includes Angel, I'll be back with my perfect gang.

Aw, thanks! I'm happy about it too. You can be in it too if you want 😉 Faith's my wild card, I felt I had to mix it up a bit. 😀 Naah, but I love Faith, and in the right company I think she could turn out to be a sweetheart too. 🙂
 
Well you have to have a leader and a mission and without Angel or Buffy that pretty much only leaves Spike and Faith.

So I'll cast Faith the Vampire Slayer:

Leader - Faith
Muscle - Spike
Watcher - Wesley
Wildcard - Illyria
Sarcasm - Cordelia
The Chick - Dawn
Just for Fun - Betta George
 
Sorry I'm a bit confused, do we mean gang as in 'hanging out' or team that you'd use to fight evil?

Two very different things for me.

Socially, I'd hang out with Anne and Virginia, because their lives are not focused around fighting evil (not a lifestyle I'd have by choice) and Lorne if he quit the evil fighting business.

If I had to fight evil, I'd be the Dawn component. In other words mostly useless but likeable and perhaps helping in regards to research. My team would be Faith because she's fast proving she can be a leader if need be. Spike because he's perhaps the more stable out of the two soulled vampires. Wesley for his esoteric knowledge and Willow because it's handy to have a witch who's also a whiz kid.
 
I created this thread for members to take there own spin on it whether it be your perfect gang of who you would want from both shows together being your favourite characters, you think that could pull off a show or on your take Kana it be who you want to hang with or who you would think would be best to fight. Mainly, just your perfect gang from both shows to carry a series without Buffy or Angel.

My perfect gang would be:
Spike-Leader
Illyria-Spike's love interest/Right-hand woman
Wesley-The Watcher
Faith-The rough one
Xander-Comic Relief
Dawn-Don't really know, just made sense
 
My almost perfect gang would be:

-Faith: Slayer with a past on her path to redemption/Leader
-Spike: Cool vampire with a soul/Funny muscle
-Connor: Formally troubled teen trying to become a champion/Secondary muscle
-Dawn: Sweet innocent Dawnie, possible love interest for Connor/Researcher
-Willow: Nerdy computer researcher/Powerful witch
-Tara: Willow's love interest/Secondary Witch
-Darla: For a dramatic relationship with her son/Another fighter

That was my almost perfect gang but to make it my perfect gang:
-Angel: Former leader of AI who would have awesome interactions with his son, his former lover, his old girlfriend's sister, his rival, and the slayer he helped reach redemption/Champion vampire with a soul

Those eight would be my PERFECT gang.

Thank God you put a limit. Otherwise it would be hard to say that I didn't want certain characters.

I'm not superhappy about the line up (the only essential ones are the first 4 then it got hard to choose), but here's my gang:

Spike, Beck, Tok, Dawn (which means Xander needs to follow, because I want to see were things go with them), Faith, Buffy.

FAITH: The Slayer on the road to redemption obviously
SPIKE: Redemption also..with Faith could be like an Angel/Cordy dynamic
GILES: Watcher/Teacher
WESLEY: Watcher/Rookie Wizard
ILLIRYIA/FRED: Sharing a body dynamic & love interest of Wes
WILLOW: Powerful Witch
OZ: Werewolf
 
Faith/Willow/Xander/Cordelia/Giles/Illyria/Oz

But without Buffy or Angel it cant truly be perfect 🙂
 
Faith - Leader of course.
Willow - Love interest for Faith, and keeps Faith grounded.
Wesley - The brains and somewhat muscle smexxy wes lol
Cordelia - Because she's awesome.
Xander - Replacement angel lol for Cordy.
Lilah - Wes' Love of course.
Gunn - Because I have to have the original ats gang

Everyone in my gang gets to be with their love cept Cordy/Xander since I cant have angel, Xanders my second choice for her. Plus Cander with Faith around funny xD

Oh and Gunn is alone but he can sneak off to be with Gwen. 😉

-Willow: Magic will help you win a fight if you don't have the muscles
-Xander: Always there to support morally, repair windows and do research 😉
-Dawn: Little research queen without magic. And with a little help from Faith, she'd be a great fighter (she's a Summers, after all)
-Faith: Slayer muscles!
-Spike: Vampire muscles!
-Wesley: Magic, research, fights... He's become good in everything!
-Fred: She can solve anything with maths and sciences.
 
Spike - Snark! Badassery!
Willow - Not power hungry, but still powerful. ...And she'd be with Oz.
Oz - Laconic and awesome. Deadpan humour. With Willow.
Wesley - Badassery once more.
Fred/Illyria - If Fred, then paired with Wesley. Uber smart and sciency, with an awesome friendship with Willow. If Illyria, then that intriguing dynamic explored in AtS S5 with Wesley, but no romance. Wonder how she'd cope with powerful Willow, when she's post-Mutari.
Connor - The AtS S5 type, not the horrible squicky previous one. Actually, I don't like Connor as a character except for S5, so I decided to give him a chance. He forms the next generation with...
Dawn - The S7 type, not the bratty S6 one. Mature and knowledge-loving. Next gen with Connor. Possible love interest?

Okay, the fighters would be Spike and Connor (and Illyria). Wesley would chip in too. Brainies would be Willow and Wesley (and Fred). Dawn would be the in-training. I think Oz would be cool in a brain capacity as well... he did have the smarts, but never much showed it in Scooby research.
