I was just wondering how everyone here likes to dress...

If I had my way, I wouldn't wear clothes at all, but when I do, I like to reflect a little of who I am.

I'm the type of person who can pull off almost anything.

A normal outfit for me: A warm sweater with bellbottom jeans, flip flops, and a black leather belt with mettle studs. I don't even own a pair of shoes that cover my feet, except for my ugly work shoes.

I've died my hair back to a dark brunet color (I can't remember what color the box said), and my hair comes down to my lower back. I don't like to do a lot to my hair, just brush it and go.

I know that this is a really random thread, but it's just something that hit me while getting ready this morning...

I mostly dye my hair kind of reddish, as it just suits me real nice (seriously, tons of people believe I'm a natural redhead, probably because red hair goes just really well with my pale skin and green eyes)

And clothes...I try to wear what's in most of the time...except for when I don't like these clothes at all....like the whole emo-wave, I just hate the clothes that go with it.
Oh yes, and I always wear jeans. And tight clothes in general.

Okay, I'm pathetic, I don't really have like my OWN style

This *is* a random thread and yet I find I cannot resist.
Hmm....my personal style.

I'm definitely a girly girl so I do like wearing skirts and pretty shoes but I also like practical so Jeans (of a variety of colors) are big with me too. Always boot cut because I'm small (5'3- and a half if I'm picky, hehe) and anything else jeans cut wise just makes me look SO much smaller. Tops go from layered to fancy to impractical to plain to practical. Basically I have no set style I just like everything co-ordinated. Like if I wear an outfit that's predominantly blue (Maybe A blue and grey top, grey pants, blue neck scarf) I have to have a blue jacket, accessories, hair accessories (If I'm wearing my hair up that is), blue shoes, blue themed make-up etc. I am always fond of all things colorful. .::smiles brightly::. Great, now I've made myself sound like a fan of block color. I'm so not. I'm not like multiple-color Daphne. Haha.

Of course I also have this thing for silver jewelery. I never wear gold. It just doesn't suit me. At all. I mean I'll wear sometimes like stones or beaded things that are different colors, but never ever gold. And I have like an excessive amount of silver rings on my right hand (Not Phoebe off Friends excessive, but like three or so) and one or two silver rings on my left hand (Including wedding ring, natch).

And you mentioned hair too didn't you? *checks post* yes you did. Well I'm blonde and it's naturally curly (Though my straighteners now allow mucho variation. Teehee. Last time I had my hair wild and free would be.....a long time ago. Haha. I think it was like June last year. Straighteners; best buy ever) Thankfully though it's not crazy corkscrew curly. Just soft curls which means it's A LOT easier to tame, thank god. Haha. And it currently is....*uses hand to find out length* just past my shoulder, like an inch or two past.

Damn, why did you start this thread? I'm been a fashion freak since I was 15 and now you're just tempting me to talk about it non stop. Pfft.

I am usually a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal, with a good pair of KangaROOS or ballet flats... but sneakers are my usual comfort choice. Though sometimes i like being girly or flirty and do the skirt thing, and i loooove knee high boots. I only have 2 pairs, brown and black, and have to often stop myself from buying any more. It's pretty feminine and flattering but comfortable i guess is the best way to describe my style.

Definitely jeans and t-shirts here. My favorite jeans (which I can't wear any more because the seat finally wore out on them--I've had them for like 6 years) were really flared at the bottom with pretty flowers embroidered on the one leg. I like flared bottom jeans or boot cut (won't wear straight legged ones).

And just plain t-shirts. I tend to shop the men's department for them.

In the summer it's capri pants, t-shirts and flip flops. I'm pretty simple. I no longer even own dress shoes. Last time I wore them was for my father in law's funeral in 2003. I packed up all my dress clothes, too, because I never go anywhere. I hate dressing up. I'm too much of a tomboy even at 31, lol.

I used to have this pair of assless jeans a couple of years ago that I would wear until a scared a little kid out of the bathroom one day when I was washing my hands...:lmao:

LOL. I had a pair with a "Kiss my Patch" patch right above the holes that exposed my *ahem* assets
I'm not really that much of a girly girl, but the last couple years my clothing style has changed dramatically! I used to just wear anything, mostly football shirts and my hair, well it was a complete mess! The only football shirt I own now, it the one I wear to bed. Most of the time when I'm just doing casual stuff I tend to wear jeans and a t-shirt or top.. Of course they have to be colour co-ordinated though, so my socks and shoes match my top. I don't really go out formally much, but over christmas I wore a black dress which was a first for me!

I do take a lot more care with my hair now, though I'd like to be able to do more to it! Depending on the weather (windy or not) I either have it brushed and straightened down or tyed back. It's about halfway down my back now as after a disaster a couple of years ago I refuse to get anymore than an inch off it! Oh, and i don't dye my hair anymore, after another disaster a couple of years ago! So its just my natural dark brown now.

I'm generally pretty casual when it comes to clothes, shorts and tank tops in summer, jeans and cute tees and hoodies. I love cute and funny tees. The past couple of years I seem to have a thing for dresses though. No idea why but they've gone through a population burst. I love big coats too, no idea why....it never gets cold enough to really take advantage of them but they are good for a night out on a semi-formal ocassion in winter. I hardly ever wear proper shoes, and being an Aussie...I live my life in thongs (and refuse to call them flip-flops), sandals but my work situation also means I also have some pretty nice heels.

Party wise, love dressing up...cute dress or a cute top and some funky accessories and some killer heels. Workwise, I'm more casual than professional, just some things that look neat and tidy without looking like I'm heading to the shops or something. I don't usually wear a lot of jewellery, a necklace, bracelet and earrings that I just never take off. Sometimes a ring or 2, sometimes not (I used to wear rings all over the place). All silver...I'm not a gold wearer.

Hairwise, generally it varies between long and shoulder-length depending on my mood. It's thick so I have it all layered to take the weight off it and give it a bit of funk. Most of the time I straighten it to keep it smooth. It stays black these days because I can't be bothered to lighten it and then watching it grow out again.

So that's me!

Y'all call flip-flops thongs? LMAO!
im the same with the jewelry, DoI! I wear the same pieces i dont take off... an angel necklace my mom gave me a few months before she passed away... a claddagh ring my grandmother gave me years ago and just recently received a beautiful band ring with hearts engraved on it from my boyfriend for my past birthday. But i dont switch anything up, they stay on me even when i sleep!

I'm short. I don't know how to sew. I refuse to pay $15 extra for a hem job every time I buy new pants. That being the case... I wear a lot of skirts and dresses. I like A-line skirts and dresses. I'm very fond of the color red, although I have lately ventured out into light blue. When I wear pants, I usually wear jeans with a shirt that is either red or black and very likely silky. This red and black fixation comes from being color-blind; it's easiest for me to match.

I hate shopping for new clothes, so I tend to wear shoes or jeans or really anything until they fall apart. I fall down a lot, so I don't wear heels. I don't wear jewelry, either. My hair is... down to my shoulders because I haven't got it cut. It's brown up top and has blonde highlights in it a couple of inches down because I haven't colored it in awhile, either. I don't even wear makeup.

I guess my personal style is "comfortable," then. lol.

I feel your pain re the 'pants too long thing'. My answer tends to be the wearing of heels though, hehe.
Well I don't know how to explain my personal style. I'm a cowgirl with a twist of something else. I love to mix and match different things together. Which is kinda unusual cause I didn't always used to be this way. I used to be a Wrangler jeans, Wrangler shirts, and cowboy boots only type of gal. These days I still wear cowboy boots but you never know from one day to the next what I am going to put with those boots. I tend to wear a lot of jeans and t-shirts. But the brands vary and everything from Wrangler, Aeropostale, Cinch, American Eagle, Cruel Girl, Eddie Bauer, etc. Like today I wore a blue tye-dye t-shirt, Old Navy Jeans, and my cowboy boots. My brown hair is long and every once in awhile I cut it cause I get sick of it long. I don't wear make-up. I don't wear a lot of jewelry either. I have 3 rings I wear everyday a Blackhills gold ring (my folks gave me years ago), a race horse ring, and a Tiffany's and Co. ring (christmas present from my bf). I occasionally wear earrings when I remember to put them in.

i love wearing my puma sweat pants and sweatshirt (obviously only in the winter time). they are very comfy.

at work i have to wear slacks and a button down shirt. i like it. keeps me proper.

but at night i wear jeans and tshirts.

my wife thinks that i should go on that reality tv show "what not to wear", but in my opinion i dress pretty kick-ass.

I don't know if I really have a particular style, I like whatever I think looks OK on me. Shirt wise, sometimes I wear plain white Ts, sometimes I wear button down shirts, sometimes I wear name brand stuff like Abercrombie, other times I wear "darker" shirts (mostly from Buckle) with skulls and stuff on it.

I prefer jeans over shorts but I have both, and nearly EVERY pair of jeans I own is faded/destroyed. I hate jeans that aren't. That's one style I hope remains acceptable for a long, long time because those things are the shiz. 🙂

Well I have short hair kind of similar to Willow in season 4 but it is a light brown color. I always have a pair of Chuck Taylors on and I really like to wear jean and then cute fun tops. I love color and then I also really like to wear like suit jackets/vests with white collared tops underneath. So I kind of have a simple style.

My personal style varies. I wear almost anything as long as it looks good on me. Usually it does. 😛

I keep it professional at work because I have to look good for my clients. I wear stuff like button down shirts, slacks, shoes, leather jackets. Sometimes when I don't have to see anybody, I go with more of a casual look. I wear polo shirts, jeans, and Tims.

At school I go with a more "juvenile" look. LOL I wear some tees with a matching hoodie/jacket. Jeans, tops (sneakers), tims, and stuff like that.

When I'm home, I just wear some pajama pants and a tee shirt. I even go out like that when I don't feel like getting dressed.

In high school I used to dress like a thug. Long ass tess, bandanas, fitteds, and baggy jeans. A lot of black too. I grew out of it though.

My brands are Ecko, Akademik, Roca Wear, and Enyce. Although there are a lot of nice South Pole stuff even though it's not in style here. I buy it anyway. LOL

I grew out of my high school look, too. Getting older kind of sucks that way, doesn't it?
I forgot about jewelry!

I have a rosary that I wear most of the time, and when I'm not wearing that, I wear my Alanis Morissette guitar pick that my best friend got me for Christmas in '06.

Style is extremely important to me as fashion is one of my passions (oh that almost rhymed!). I like to wear clothes like it's art, or something like my body is a canvas and my clothes are the art? I would define my style as casual-chic with a touch of 90's retro. If you are familiar with rappers like M.I.A and Lady Sovereign, you know exactly what I mean (otherwise, Google them!).

I'm basically your typical streestyle-ghettogalore-hipster-wannabe; NYC is my mothership. There's alot of baggy cargos going on here (usually black, dark brown or dark green), alternatively semi-baggy jeans. As for the rest, it's all bright colors and crazy patterns (see Brittish designer David David for visual reference). As I am just a poor student, I usually can't afford all the pretty clothes I want, so my solution is H&M, an AWESOME swedish store called Monki and a lot of second hand stuff. As for shoes, I do it old school so I only wear Adidad sneakers. Have a couple of pairs in different colors to match different outfits. Oh and let's not forget my love for fitteds! I collect them, or at least try to since the custom New Era fitteds are so ridiculously expensive.

As for my physical appearance, I'm pretty natural. I have really long dreadlocks (almost all the way down my back) and I've never dyed my hair (it's dark dark brown with a bit of red in it). I never wear make up either, I'm just too casual and lazy to be doing that.

They're always gonna be called thongs for me! lol!
Ooh, I forgot jewellery! I always wear the same jewellery and that's my watch, gold ring and a gold bracelet I've been wearing since I was few months old (obviously it's had more chain added to it since then!) Depending on what kind of top I'm wearing I also like to have a necklace on to match.

Let me firstly say, I hate stereotypes.

Often I have been called 'punk' or 'emo', because I wear band shirts, jeans and converse shoes a lot.

People fail to notice that I also wear A LOT of pink, and non-band/black shirts lol.

I like to call my own style "fashion bum" I love jeans, most of mine have holes by the pockets or in the knees because I refuse to pay $50 plus for a pair of pants, so I haven't really bought any in about 5 years or so (excluding the pair of skinny jeans I did give into this last summer, but they were only $15 so its justifiable). If I'm not in jeans, I'm in scrub pants. Anyone who has ever worn them knows they look goofy, but they are the most comfortable thing you will ever put on in your lifetime. Likewise, I am in a t-shirt 9 times out of 10, and it is usually one of the free ones you see people wearing with the wierd slogans on them that tell you to come to their store or what not...then add some sneakers and that's me! Gotta add the pony tail too, I have really long REALLY thick hair and I don't like it in my face. It always goes in a ponytail.

Shoes are my weakness. I have like 20 pairs of heels that I never wear, I just get them cause they are pretty!
