I WISH I had a style, instead, it's all practical.
I work from home and I'm constantly covered in paint. So, it's mostly paint covered sweats, paint covered t-shirts, paint covered sweat shirts and the occasional paint covered jeans.
They go well with my paint covered keyboard and paint covered mouse.
Most of the time, it's men's clothes because they're just easier. I don't have time to shop and try on clothes. And if I DID have the time, I'd rather be doing something else. I have a pair of Reeboks that are the same style I wore in 9th grade (1989) and I never have to try them on either. I just know the size, by now, and go pick them up and grab a pair of jeans and I'm good. I used to go barefoot or wear sandals, but I got pregnant and HORRIBLY clumsy and broke just about every toe twice and kept falling down the stairs so now I just wear my shoes almost all the time. I usually have two pair. A paint covered pair and a "new" pair.
I wear a LOT of white t-shirts. I don't know why because they look the WORST covered in paint. But, just love them. And they can come in 3 packs! And BIG gray sweat shirts.
I have an issue which is I didn't have a small chest BEFORE I got pregnant and now it's much bigger and won't go away. My friends all say they're jealous, I keep trying to point out that they aren't. Lots of back pain and NOTHING fits me. If I were to buy a dress, I'd have to get a size 24 and then it doesn't even come CLOSE to fitting around the waist...which is normal sized. So, maybe my clothes are just meant to hide my issues. And since I rarely go anywhere "important" it doesn't really matter.
I used to have my hair long and pulled back ALL the time. But, I finally gave up when I realized that I COULD NOT wear it down and have it look good. So, now it's cut up to my chin. (Palabra: kind of like Kate Howard's used to be) I can still pull the front back so I don't end up getting it soaked in paint, so that is good.
I actually dye it my natural color. Which is just weird at this point. I had it dyed darker and then lighter and then darker again. It's naturally kind of a darkish ash blonde and so I color it that, but over time it turns kind of brassy and reddish looking which just makes me look sick. So, I spend money to dye it back the normal color because the roots BUG me and I could never wait for them to grow out or cut it short enough to get rid of the ends....at least not yet. Besides, with two kids, the grays are coming if they aren't here yet!
