I don't think an Angel film will ever be made. 3 million viewers who may not even see the film is not financially viable for anyone.
I think its best Joss focuses on the future stuff- he left Angel at a good place.

Like I said in another thread, I would love to see any Buffy/Angel productions. But if David or Sarah aren't going to be in them, then I just don't think I'd take the time to watch them. I mean, come on. Sarah IS Buffy and David IS Angel. It's just reality. If there's no David or Sarah, then there shouldn't be any Buffy or Angel projects. But that's just my point of view.

I totally, of course, think that movies can hold their own without the aid of what people have convinced themselves are the only characters worth having as the main character. I am of the mind that Spike, Illyria, Faith, and Willow can all hold their own in movies (and together would be wicked. *drool drool* OK! Snapping out of it now!). I also hold the fear that anything done, no matter who stars in it, can be done lamely, but then I snap out of it the second I remember that Joss Whedon will, I'm sure, be attaching his name to it. So, I just wait for it. Well, I hope that I am waiting for something that will actually happen...

I myself am all for the movie idea! That'd be soo awsome if they had a T.V. movie, or even better a bigscreen(which will not probably happen) but even a mini-series woudl be better then nothing at all!

I'd love to see Buffy and Angel movies, as-well.

I'm not exactly holding my breath though. David said himself he wouldn't be in any TV movies, it'd have to be for the big screen or he wouldn't do it -- and I think that Sarah wants to move past her role as Buffy instead of being tied down to it.
🙁. I'm still VERY much wanting the movies, but I don't think they'd make 'em.

But, I agree -- I wouldn't really want to watch a movie without Buffy or Angel in it. It's their show's, and I don't think JW would make them without his stars.

Movie would rock! 😀
Angel's ending was too open for me, I need closure ::rm::
Who wouldn't love a bigscreen Angel/buffy movie?
But... I agree that the original actors would have to be in it, or at least come up with a damn good reason why they're not in it.

Some part of me says it's not going to happen, but there's always hope 😛

YES! I have not seen season 5 of Angel yet (waiting for the DVD, I've only seen the last few minutes of "Not Fade Away"), but it should'nt have been cancelled. The WB are pure-evil! :mad39:

Also, I have'nt read the books (I will in time), but how about a Tale Of The Slayers mine-series?

Tales of the Slayers sounds like fun for Buffy fans all right, but seeing as this thread is in the Future of Angel forum, I have to ask, how would Angel fit in there? Would he be like the narrator or something?

And would that work as a movie, do you think? Maybe as a mini-series of TV movies, I don't know. It feels like it would fit better as a TV series to me.

I said "no". I would love to see our beloved Buffy and Angel back in an all new adventure. But I'm afraid of disappointment. I say leave it as it is.

What I meant was, if they do a television/theatrical movie of either Angel or Buffy and try to use a different actor or not use the Buffy and Angel characters, then I definitely wouldn't take the time to watch them. But I do however think a Willow or Spike movie would be all right. To me, they were more than just the supporting cast, they were main characters as well. So I would more in likely watch those. Either way I know Joss Whedon will do a wonderful job in whatever future projects he works on, whether it's Angel/Buffy related or not.

Of course I want movies!

I need to get my 'verse fix somewhere. Whether it be tv telemovies or actual motion picture, I don't care.

We need something to watch besides some of the junk that is out there.

Okay I was going to say something smart but then it ran out of my head. So, above me, Feigenbaum said what I was basically going to say. There ya go. Movies, movies, movies. YAY!!

Of course I want a movie, I won't deny it. But at the same time I do agree with the fact that the end of Angel was a very good ending and I am not sure I actually want to find out how that battle ended. Really. It was so dramatic it hurt and that is the beauty of it.

But a prequel? Sure. Or a Spike-movie.

I'm sorry but I am weak.

I want a movie for both shows as I am still devastated that they are both gone.

Although they would have to be amazing and gob smackingly good tp pull off status as movie.

:lsvader:

I agree with Lethe. ANGEL ended fantastically, and "Not Fade Away" is probably the best series finalé I have ever seen. (TWIN PEAKS coming second.)

I would, however, change my mind if ANGEL would return as a big screen movie - with the cash showered on it that it deserves and with the regular cast. If JW can do it with FIREFLY, then why not for ANGEL - or even a BUFFY/ANGEL movie 'cos surely the Buffyverse fan base easily exceeds that of FIREFLY

Imagine all of the loose ends tied up from both shows: what are the newly-activated Slayers doing now? Are Buffy and Faith training them? does Giles run the new Watchers' Council? Who gets to Shanshu? Does Gunn make it out of that alley alive? What will Spike say and do when Buffy choose Angel over him? Is Dawn still whiny? Will Wesley ever be seen again? (Actually, a thought on Wesley: if the idea was to have Spike return as a ghost for the muted Faith spin-off, maybe we could have Wes as a ghost. Then again, maybe not... Just thinking out loud.)

Like the idea of a Faith/Ghost Wes spin-off! LOL-I love how you assume Buffy WILL choose Angel over Spike. :D

I guess you are a Bangel? It is simply exotic to see one.

It is her destiny. :happy06:

Back to the topic; I want a Buffyverse movie. Actually I'd prefer a movie rather than a comic. Comics of Buffyverse are treachery!!! They have to be undone.

Yea... I'd love a Buffyverse movies but I'm afraid there's no way it could be as good as the TV show(s)... If there were to be a movie I wouldn't want it to take place after the end of the shows, that'd just be weird. We have seen the end, or the ends, and that was depressing enough... But finiding out that the end we saw wasn't the real one would be even stranger and I just don't think anything could make it better or change how I feel about the end. So I just don't know, I'd be so happy if Joss did anything Buffyverse related again but... there are so many buts and I think I'd rather keep it great and ended forever, than having it come back and not be as great... But I'm not sure... Hm...
(I think I would actually like the animated TV show idea, I mean it couldn't be anything like Buffy was, so I wouldn't expect it too, but it could be cute and good in a very different way... hm...)

I would love to see an Angel movie about the after math od the alley.
I hated the way S5 ended ::rm:: ::rm:: They just left us hanging :hanged: I think that they should make a movie that starts where S5 left off
