because if you don't have a personalised one in the age of iphones and blackberries, you are lame. True fact.

So - what's yours?

Lame as it may sound, I have the Buffy theme for every caller except my best friend (who has "500 Miles" because we always watch HIMYM together) and my dad (our football team's hymn).
 
I'm not lame. 😀 I just don't know how to change it to a personalised one on iphone, can anyone help me? 🙂

On my old phone I had This charming man by the Smiths. I still think someone's calling me whenever I hear that song, lol

Do you have a Mac? There are loads off free ringtone Apps in the Mac App Store that turn your MP3's into ringtones

I used to have the BtVS theme until my old phone crashed. Now I've got a short piece of Leonard Cohen singing "Hallelujah" in concert last year. The sound sucks, but it's a happy memory.

I saw L Cohen in concert in 08, Hallelujah was unreal to hear live. so good.
My text/other notifications tone is the beginning of the pop version of Mine by Taylor Swift and my call one is the chorus of Sweet Tea and God's Graces also by Taylor. Although recently I've been on an Enchanted kick and I was thinking of making the call the chorus of Enchanted and the text/other notifications be the "please don't be in love with someone else, please don't have somebody waiting on you" part of the song...
 
For the BB friends whose numbers I have, I assigned them either the BtVS, Firefly, or AtS theme. For my mom, I have the Family Guy Stewie "Mom, mom mom" lol. I have a crap load of random ringones

No, I have a PC. She said, sadly. 😀 It might be something like that in the app store I have on my iphone though? Thanks for helping!
 
I just have my phone on vibrate- to be honest, I think it's only my parents and work who have the number so the only time I get a call is when there's something up with my landline.

I read an interesting article in the paper recently about how moving from landlines to mobiles is changing how people use the phone- the only people who can contact you are people who have your number, so it's harder to track somebody down if you need to find them, and parents don't have the control over their children's social lives that they used to when a house only had one landline. In some Eastern European countries like Latvia and Estonia, the phone network has gone straight from the Communist-era system with mobiles to a system based on mobiles and while people have landlines, they tend to be for businesses rather than individual people.
 
I am anti-ringtone and have had my phone permanently on silent since 2002.

My phone is on silent 99% of the time; its been ages since I've heard my ringtone.
I have "I Don't Wanna Be" by Gavin DeGraw! 😀

I've decided to just start living with being predictable!
 
Mine is the Angel theme song for everyone who's not my twin. His ringtone is Family Tree by Ben Kweller. It's a band he got me in to before he left.
 
Mine depends on how much I want to answer. My three besties get "Rainbow Veins" by Owl City, my family gets "Shhh" by Donora, anyone I know I don't want to talk to is "Defying Gravity" from Wicked, and other is "Hurricane Streets" by Hey Monday. It's a pretty good way to know if I want to answer or not before I even look.
