If you could have made anything at all happen in Buffy, what would it be?

If you want to get rid of Kennedy, you need to say what you would want to happen instead.

If you want Tara to not have been shot, you need to say why and what would have happened as a main storyline.

Anything you wanted to/not wanted to happen, you need to elaborate upon.

My question is: What would you do, if Buffy was yours?

Ehem. SPANGEL.

I honestly think they're meant to be. Even if it's not a proper loving relationship, I think they could share something pretty damn special. Deep down I do believe they loved eachother very much. Usually people who express that much hate for eachother end up loving the heck out of one another. Their love was starting to blossom, then..

BAM. Angel gets cancelled.

Godihrgiohiorn. Not cool, not cool.

I also realise lots of eyes are rolling at this post now, I'm a hardcore Spangel shipper, what can I say?

Hate and love are one of the same I so agree :p
I'd probably keep most of the couples together.

I would have gotten Spike and Angel together, I mean seriously, who wouldn't want that? There was a lot of sexual tension back in the day, a lot of us are waiting! I know spikecakes is 😛 I love Spuffy, I do, but I can't hate Spangel, just can't. They were good friends, and even if it seemed like they didn't care about each other sometimes, you know they did, especially in AtS, oh if only Angel wasn't cancelled....

I would keep Tara alive because she's a great presence in the show, and if she was kept throughout Season Seven, with all the Potentials and the First, I'd like to see her towards the end. If Kennedy was still there, Tara could rub it in Kennedy's face that she (Tara) was with Willow. I also would make Tara have more episodes that revolve around her and a true meaning for her, even if it was already S7, I would make her more than just Willow's Wiccan Girlfriend. I'm not sure what, but something good. With Willow, I don't know, I think Tara could have been just injured by the gunshot, and Willow went mad.

I would also bring Miss Kitty Fantastico back, she was so adorable, and we didn't see enough of her. If Tara stayed alive for S7, we could've had a little kitty roaming around Buffy's house. Sittin' on the counter in the morning watching you come down the stairs, playing with your hair, anything else a kitten does.

Also, if I wanted to, I would've made one awesome episode in Season Eight? where the Buffy cast met the Angel cast for a while. Buffy and Dawn meet Connor, Willow meets Illyria, etc. I think episodes would be more effect than comics. You have music and emotions in the voice to help you go along with it, I always space during the comics...

I think there are some more things I would make happen, I just can't think of much right now

mm Spangel... :)
- Kill Dawn during "The Gift"... or not introduce her at all would be even better. Because Dawn sucks.
- Never make the Potentials such a significant part of season 7. Instead have a huge Fang Gang/ Scoobies team-up to defeat the season 7 Big Bad. That would have been an epic finale
- Never kill Doyle. He was awesome.
- Keep Kate Lockley on the show. She was a great love interest for Angel.
- Keep the "Core Four" of the Scoobies strong, and don't dissolve them like what happened in season 7. Their friendship was sad to see ruined.

Spuffy. SPUFFY WOULD NEVER HAPPEN. BUWHAHAHAHA. Sorry. Pardon me. No, seriously. I probably wouldn't bring Riley back, or even Angel in that matter, I would like seeing Buffy getting more support from her friends, and her accepting it. Either way, there would be no Spuffy, at least not in the way the were in season 6. I would make him her friend. Really good friend. With no benefits.

I would make Dawn less annoying. LESS ANNOYING.

ME! Spike belongs to Xander. 😀

Okay, I'd have made Xander and Spike friends in S7. I would have showed more scenes of them when Spike was living in Xander's apartment. Get Xander noticing Spike suffering from the First playing with his head and being there for him, and in return having Spike being grateful to Xander for helping him and taking him in and providing him with a room and a mug of blood. I've always had a soft spot for Spike teaching Xander how to fight and Xander getting a job for Spike.

And then in a moment of weakness, Spike would let it slip how he felt for Buffy to Xander, who would have nothing to say about that. He would still be conflicted over the AR and the person Spike became after the soul.

End of Angel S3: I would have had Cordelia not make the choice to become a "higher being". Angel would have still been boxed up and put under water. But we would get no crappy Cordelia story in season 4, mabye some Cangel <3 <3, and hopefully no Co-co!

I'd have wanted the Scoobies to go to Angel's place in LA so they could all meet and talk about the battle. Angel and his crew would still be running Wolfram and Hart but there'd be a lot of problems with Buffy and the Scoobies trusting them.

Thinking about it, I'd love to have seen a return of Clem in Angel. Maybe he went to Caritas for a drink whilst on holiday or something? I'd love to have seen the dynamic between him and everyone in Angel.

This exact thing. And then midway through season six, buffy realizes she can't live without her one true love. She moves to LA, tara never dies, buffy and angel defeat the first/jasmine/w&h, and fred lives. Angel fulfills the shanshu prophesy, and becomes human, and Fred and wes get together and live happily ever with bangel, twillow, and xanya in the land of rainbows and furry puppy cows. The end.

I love these! 🙂

the one thing I think i would change is when buffy tells spike she loves him at the end of season 7, I'd have him believe her.

the other changes are awesome and I'd love to read them in fan fic or something!

I would change a lot. Some examples:

- I wouldn't have killed off Jenny and I would have let Giles/Jenny continue.
- I wouldn't have made Willow that powerful of a witch. And unlike certain writers, I would have had her use her brain more often to save the day rather than her magic.
- Angel would have stayed in Acathla's hell, no more Spike, Drusila or Darla either. This probably would have lost me half of the audience but who cares. 🙂
- More Ethan Rayne. More Gwendolyn Post. Heck, they could have hooked up and become the Big Bads in one of the seasons. That would have been awesome.
- No Faith. I would have kept Kendra in the show. No Anya either. No Andrew. Scratch that, there will be Andrew but he will die in the most gruesome of fashions.
- Xander/Cordelia would have endured.
- Xander and Tara would actually be friends and talk to each other sometimes. Because this never happened in the show itself.
- More Miss Kitty Fantastico.
- Dawn would be a real girl who Buffy saves and then Joyce adopts. None of this "She was made of me" and fake memories crap.
- No resurrections. No humans dating vampires or (ex-)demons. A lot more emphasis on the Scoobies friendships.

No Faith, No Angel, no Fang gang at all and MORE Gwendolyn Post! hehe, had this been your show I would not have watched ;)

Yay for Ethan+Gwendolyn. But nay to the Angel thing.
As much as I love Spike being on Angel's fifth season I would have liked to have seen how s7 would have gone had he not come back with a soul but evil again. I think he could have been a force to be reckoned with then... (though I would have hated seeing evil Spike dusted I'm sure :S)

Love the topic!! Hihi
- I would make Buffy fall in love with Spike in S5.
- I would have left Oz in the show.
- I would also have left Jesse in the show and made him a part of the Scoobies.
- I would have killed off Faith at the end of S3.
- Bangel would have lasted a bit longer than S3.
- I would have killed off Riley in the same way as Maggie Walsh was killed off.

W
Willow My Love
But if Bangel lasted longer than s3, Buffy wouldn't have been over Angel by s4 when Riley came in.
I would have added another "normal" male character in the later seasons. Xander was just too lonely in the latter half of season 5,6,and 7. Oz fulfilled that role in the earlier seasons (even though he was a werewolf, the majority of the time he functioned as a normal member of the scooby gang). For this reason I almost wish Dawn had been a boy. The female relationships are awesome but it was a bit odd how it was just Spike and Xander later on.

W
Willow My Love
What about Andrew in s7?
Spike wouldn't have come back after Angel's In the Dark, Riley would have been the one to give Willow the Initiative disks.
Tara's family would been mentioned again after her death
Everyone's family would have been mention more.
Faith would have been brought out of prison after Buffy's death, she would of helped in Sunnydale until Buffy came back then moved to LA.
Giles wouldn't have left but stayed and helped both Buffy and Willow deal.
The Watcher's Council would have paid Buffy so she didn't have to work in DMP.
The First/Potentials storyline wouldn't have happened, and season 7 would have been about them all reconnecting as friends

W
Willow My Love
I never got why they paid Giles, but not Buffy. She was the one risking her life!
-I wouldn't have had Tara die. Shot, yes. Comatose? Of course! Let Willow THINK Tara was dead, so that Warren still dies, and we still get Dark Willow, but not kill my Tara!
-Kennedy never exists. Ever. Not even as a potential.
-Let Xander and Anya get married! No lame vengeance demon plotline for Anya. Show how difficult being a young, married couple can be.
-Have Buffy and Angel realize together that they couldn't be together, not make them fight about it. Leave them on a happier note.
-Make Giles not leave, and Joyce not die, and them be together.
-NO DAWN.

In the hellmouth. Spike's amulet id charging up, surrounding him in a golden light...

(You know all of the dialog at this point. No reason to repeat it. Fast forward to...)

Buffy-- I love you.

Spike-- No, you don't. But thanks for saying it.

Buffy-- Say WHAT? Three years, you've been telling me that you love me, and that I really love you, but I'm just afraid to say so. Now I finally get up the courage to actually say the words, and all I get is "No, you don't," and now what? I'm supposed to go scampering out the tunnel mouth and leave you here to die? Not on your life, buster. This little girl ain't goin' anywhere without her man.

Faith (From the tunnel mouth)-- Buffy!

Buffy (Shouting over her shoulder without taking her eyes off of Spike)-- You go ahead. I'm staying here with the man I love. You're Mama Slayer now.

Faith (Runs back down to where the two are holding hands. Spike is tugging, trying to break Buffy's grip. Buffy squeezes harder)-- You're really staying here? Well, does that mean that I get the scythe? (She reaches for it. Buffy releases her grip on the weapon) So, let me get this straight. You're gonna stay here with Pretty Boy, and leave me to run that bunch of little girls who just got Slayer-ized. Is that your plan?

Buffy-- Right. If Spike stays, I'm staying.

Faith (dodging a falling piece of stone)-- Oh, hell no you're not! (She swings the Scythe, the flat of the blade connecting solidly with Spike's skull. He drops to the cavern floor, unconscious. Faith tosses Buffy the scythe, reaches down, lifts Spike and tosses him across her shoulder) Now, B, get your ass out of here, and make it fast, because me and Stud Muffin are gonna be right behind you.

Buffy (With tears in her eyes)-- Oh, thank you. I didn't know what I was going to...

Faith-- SHUT UP AND GET MOVING, DAMMIT!

The two Slayers make it to the bus just as it is pulling out. They toss Spike in the back, cover him with a blanket, and run back to the front, where Wood is patiently bleeding all over the driver's seat.

Faith-- That's everybody. Let's move it.

Wood-- I can't...

Faith-- I didn't think you were hurt that badly.

Wood-- It's not tht. I CAN'T DRIVE STICK!

Faith yanks Wood roughly out of the seat, sits down, starts the bus, and they peel out, just as Sunnydale begins collapsing behind them. The race is close, the fissure getting closer and closer.

Faith-- We're never gonna make it. This bus is too heavily loaded...

Before she gets the chance to finish, Giles jumps up, yells "It's for the greater good!" and dives out the window. Andrew follows suit, yelling "Avengers Assemble!" Dawn is right behind him. "I'll do the dying this time!" and she's gone. Then Willow yells, "It's for the best!" and throws Kennedy out the back door.

With its load lightened, the bus manages to increase its speed just enough to barely escape the collapse of Sunnydale before the overworked engine gives out with a shudder and coasts slowly to a stop. The survivors climb out and look back at the huge hole that was once Sunnydale, stunned.

Faith-- We did it, B. We did it and got out alive, to boot. What're you gonna do now? You can start lining like a real person.

Buffy (Wiping sweat and blood out of her eyes.)-- I'm planning on going to bed for about a month.

Faith-- Well, first we've gotta take care of Sp... (Realization strikes)

Buffy (With a smug look on her face, nods, looking back toward the bus)-- Spike.

(Fade to black)

It's an old joke, but it fit so perfectly there that I just couldn't resist.
-First off I would have not had Buffy go to Angel in Sanctuary and focused way more on Angel/Faith.
-I would have had Spike come to Angel sooner since I think they are comic gold together.
-I would have never introduced Kennedy and had Oz come back instead and have a proper ending for Woz.
-Buffy would have choose Spike but he wouldn't accept it in season five (speeding up the Spuffy it was inevitable). I know sounds mean but this would have been for a bit she needed to be taught a lesson. By season six they would have been so strong but in the end Buffy and Spike were both bigger than Sunnydale so they parted ways for now.
-Cordy would have been in season five along with Spike and Angel.
-Andrew would have come to Angel as well along with Spike from Sunnydale. Spike and Andrew were way to adorable for me not to write them a story-line.
-Cordy and Angel would have been a proper couple and ended up together. One of the few couples that would have.
