I was just thinking how my friends and I use some REALLY random words all the time in everyday life, so I thought I'd see what strange words you guys use. 🙂

All my friends seem to see 'Cheese' all the time, and my best friend always says 'Chicken'
I personally always say 'Freeze Ray' now, I honestly have NO idea why, I just find myself saying it all the time. I also say 'Dude' randomly.

I also decided to add on weird nicknames 'cause me and zee bestie have a lot of those for each other. Most recently we're Beady Toes and Hairy Eyes. 😉 The story behind that was we were trying to say the whole OMWF thing, and when Giles, Anya and Xander are walking, we tried saying the 'My eyes are not beady, my toes are not hairy' thing over and over again, and I just couldn't say it properly. So now, we call each other that. 😉

So, what about you lot? Strange words and nicknames?

I also say 'Dude' randomly.

I always find myself saying that to anyone, even my teachers! Lol.

Ummm, I have a habit of taking anybody's name and making it sound funnier. Like, if your name is Heather.. I will sing it out to you or something like that. Hehe, and my and my buddy Josh always call eachother Beavis & Butthead. We even have the voices down pretty well! It'll be dead silent in class, then I hear "Beavis.." and I'm like "Shut up, Butthead!" Then we just burst out laughing and get all the weird stares. :biggrin2:

I say pet, love, and little bit.

I also called my ex girlfriend Tinkerbell.

I say Good Morning to people no matter what time of the day it is

Salmon skin roll lol Yup we use that one too...and million other Friends phrases
Oh God where to start! My friends and I seem to have our own little language going on. Alot of times we will be talking and others around us won't have any idea what we are on about.

Most of our little inside jokes come from Friends or some other random thing we have watched. For example if we are freaking out about something we say we are having Fajitas! That comes from the episode of Friends when Ross finds out Joey and Rachel have a thang and he freaks out and invites them over for dinner.

Also from that episode we use Ross's expression of 'Fiiiiine' when really he is nowhere in the realm of 'Fiiiine'! We use it the same way, if something has gone epically wrong we say it's Fiiiine which inevitably leads to Fajitas! lol

Make sense right? lol

Also we have started saying this thing of We Win or You Lose. Basically I was debating something with one of the lads and when I made some point that he couldn't respond to I decided that I 'won' the conversation and therefore he lost! It has snowballed ever since, like last week I had the flu so therefore I lost lol. God we are strange people!

Nicknames? I haven't had very many. When I moved into my old apartment last September my roommates christened me Shinaynay (cuz they thought it sounded like my actual name...Sinéad), a few other people call me Naydee but that's about it.

Ever use "Unagi"?
Randomw words? Can´t say that I can come up with that many right now. One word which I say way too often (it was popular for over 10 years ago and should only be used by teens. OK, not even by teens) is "typ" which is lang for "kind of". I just don´t seem to get rid of it. Do some of my friends use it? Sure, but I think I use it way more.

As for nicknames I don´t think I´ve had many strange ones. So I have to stick to the commone ones. With my name you get called Tobbe in Sweden. Simple as that. To my mothers despair. "If I wanted people to call yuo Tobbe I´d named you that..." And on a very few occassions I´ve been called Erik from my last name Erikson (means son of Erik) or Tob. Tob I guess is from the english/american influence we have in our country. So I´ve got way more nicknames on here.

I call my friend Neet and she calls me Nees (My name is Renée and her name is Renee) And sometimes she calls me Paris when I say something stupid (which is often 😉)

I say "snert" a lot. It's a Dutch word and it actually means soup 😀

And I say "Pretty please" since my friend told me someone in a computergame said that 😛

Snert is not just any soup, my dear. It's pea soup. With rookworst. Ans I love it :)
Um.. not sure if that's what you mean, but a mate of mine back in school invented all kinds of crazy words, and some of them just caught on with us. When I can't remember the proper name of something, I still today sometimes call it a "Flempel", like this guy did. :lmao:

Also, he never could remember the lyrics of songs and sang nonsense syllables instead... that also caught on with me. 😉

I over use 'Awesome' cos I usually cant think of a better word. I have lots of different words for different things. I think its cos I never got out of the habit when I was younger of talking properly 😛 I call butterflies 'flutterbyes' and I say ambulance like 'amberlance', mashed potato is 'smushy tato'. I cant think of other ones off the top of my head. But I notice when people spend too much time with me, they start to talk like me.
My mates nick names for me are Gem or GemGem or Princess Dumbarse. I call all the ponies spazernators. I dont know where I got that one.

Yeah, I've got a couple of words, but they are mostly German. At least I can't think of any English word right now. But I really have loads and loads of injokes with my best friend on words and stuff like that, so yes. 🙂

I say "True Story" a lot, when agreeing with people. This has resulted in my friends mocking me for it/other people using it. I also say "Really?" a lot (as in "Really?! With Seth and Amy" from SNL).

Other words are "Shimmy" or "Scam" in the context of things not going my way. "What a shimmy". Uhm, and I currently made a South African friend who introduced me to the word "Swak", which I only use when he's around.

Oh! And Raven has gotten me to use "Oh Snap!" instead of the foul word. And Veronica introduced me to the Star-Trek "Frak". Those are the only words I use all the time, I believe.

And also, "To be Fair" when disagreeing with people.

And I call most of my good girl friends "Sweetie". Like "Hey, sweetie, what's up?" Or stuff along those lines "Sweet stuff", "sweets", etc.

As far as nicknames: Johnny Boy, Jif, JC and Jonald Seacrest (derived from "Jonald").

Frack is Battlestar Galactica, not Star Trek. ;)
I have a lot of nicknames,...back when I still lived in the US my friend used to call me Blaze, or Ruby, Tc, Tess,...and so on. Nowadays my "friends" only call me Desi, or Daisy. since my real name is Desirèe. actually thats my second first name.

I have this habbit of calling my friends sweety, lov', darling and honey. Even thou I live in Austria now.
And I still tend to swear in English even after living here for almost 11 years.

other than that I don't really have much 'weird' words I use.

Whoa! Cool banner!
Overused words? Most people who know me would probably say thet, once I really get cranked up, I overuse them all. Specifically, however, the (non profane) words that I probably overuse are "y'all," I'm a Southerner, after all, and "ain't," that I started using in my early childhood, undoubtedly from all of the Saturday morning matinees that featured one cowboy star or another.

As for nicknames, there was "Hoppie" from Hopalong Cassiday, one of those cowboy stars above, and the name that my grandfather gave me the day I was born, and remains with me to this day. Even though my Christian name is Joseph, and the people whom I deal with from day to day call me Joe, to my family and closest friends, I have always been Rip.

If something is scary. Me and my buds tend to say "That was Scary Biscuits" - no idea where this came from.
As for nicknames i have loads. The most popular. Frank-Kay-Hey-Ho. FrancusMcmanus. Franktolomue. Francy Meeting You Here. Froz. Frank - ly my dear i don't give a damn. Hate them all.

JenJen, Jenny from the block, Jennafur, J, JAD, Jane, Jennifer Alice. And lots of other nicknames I can't mention, too many swear words.

I don't think I have many overused words.. I say "totally" alot, and, "I know, right".
And if I don't like a situation I'm in, which is usually quite a lot, I say, "bad scene".
That's it, really. I only talk when I'm saying really profound, intense statements.... 😉

Ah, I just remember some other random things I say a lot.
I tend to say 'I see your dilema' even if someone isn't saying anything relating at all to a dilema.
Also, if someone is insulting me or saying something I don't give a crap about (So, most of the time. 😉) I say 'Really, that's nice'.
Hmm, I have a lot of overused-phrases, to be honest.

My good friends say I go through phases when I'm drunk, so they've come up with a nick name for every phase.

Phase 1 - Megatanked
Phased 2 - Megatrashed
Phase 3 - Mega-Gone

And as far as words go, i often say "noise" instead of saying "talk" and i say "sweet" instead of "cool".

my girlfriend has a canadian accent so everything she says is funny, lol 😛

oh and my son calls Elmo, Melmo. It's so cute.

My friend use to call me Hot chicken because my horse use to be scared of everything so she said that she was a chicken, then she decided to call me hot chicken because she said that I was hot and she was a chicken. I also usally call her Lion (long story) I guess I just like giving animal names to people. like two other of my friends, I call them Lamma and Mon ptit t'ours (french for my little bear)
