Your thoughts on Dracula (actor and character)

I agree that the mind control thing was cool. Even the turning into animals thing, but I still expected him to be more majestic and scary. And wow, if Spike had mind control abilities, look out Sunnydale.

Why is it people don't like this episode? This episode brings the funny and occasionally disturbing. When I have the energy to read this thread, I will defend why I like this episode.
 
dracula was a great idea but ...... the actor didnt do it for me im afraid.....to cheesey....... need a more hansom actor for it, not a pretty boy a hansom one with better taste in clothing. hummm ewan.....na 🙂 lol
 
Hmmmm i agree that the structure of the character was good like the look nd movements nd speech but i think that he died way to fast...i think he should have been like a long term villian or at least lasted alittle longer...But in the end Buffy would have turned his ass to dust anyways:heart:
 
yeah the actor didn't do it for me either..I always thought dracula would be more handsome..then look like the beast in the movie "dracula"..or the guy on btvs..not saying he was ugly...he was just rather plain to me..
I did like Spike though getting pissed because he didn't like drac's "parlour tricks"
 
i loved that episode it's hilarious. but the actor of dracula could have been more handsome...everything else about the character was great the speech everythign but the guy didn't cut it for me.

Xander-were did u get that accent from sesame street....1,2,3 .. 3 victims muahahaha
 
hahahahaha yeah xanders cool, i like the dracular in van helzing he has the aurra about him, the dude in buffy..... just didnt cut it
 
I didnt like the actor, he was a bit freaky lookin, the character was good though, although maybe they could have gotten the dracula from van helsing?
 
I think Dracula on BTVS worked really well. He was better than any other draculas i've ever seen and wow he was scary!!!
 
i thought Dracula was a good villian because he is like one of the original vampires so it was a good idea to have Buffy go up against a vampire which was supposedly a myth.
although i did find him a bit creepy,which i guess they were kind of going for that kind of vibe as he had all them powers to control people lol
 
I liked the idea to bring Dracula in, and treating him like the big superstar and everything. But I didn't like how it played out so much, mostly because I think he was weird and boring.. and not so good interaction with the other characters. I think it would have been better with more tension between especially Buffy and him.. I just watched this episode today with a friend though, and she thought he was really good.. hm.
 
As I was reading these posts, I think that Drac meeting Spike would have some good scenes.
Also, I think Faith may have had a bit more in common with Drac. She knew the whole dark side of the slayer much more than Buffy ever did.
 
I think it's a terrible episode, to be honest. ADORE Season 5 in general, but this is the worst ep of the season, the worst of all the premieres, and probably my least favourite episode of the series. It's just so... LAME. It's very strange, even the direction and the performances of the regulars seem oddly strained and off their game. Awful IMHO, sorry!
All gets better from Real Me on, though!
