Why not 😛 I'm just curious to see what everyone watches and what they enjoy most. Any TV shows, old or new! My list at the moment would go something like

1. BtVS
2. Avatar: The Last Airbender
3. Unite 9
4. Orphan Black
5. Les mysterieuse cite d'or
6. Orange is the New Black
7. Dollhouse
8. Angel
9. American Horror Story
10. Skins

I almost put GoT in there but I haven't even seen the show, only read parts of the book, so I can't really judge the show.

Edit: literally just realized I put 3 Whedon show in there, no wonder I'm here 😀

I love that you nearly put in a show you haven't even seen :)
This is really tough, I'm tempted just to go Buffy, Buffy, Buffy, Buffy, Buffy etc. because it is the only show I really consider myself a real fan of. There are other shows I watch and enjoy but I've no idea how sort out a top ten from all the shows I've ever seen. I'll have to come back to this one.

Buffy x10 is definitely a valid answer :p
I don't know- the greatest shows that I enjoy the most? Man, that's tough.

In no particular order:

1) BtVS (it's why I'm here)
2) The Shield
3) Farscape
4) Cracker (the British version- watch this and then go and laugh at Criminal Minds doing the exact same thing, only more poorly and 10 years later)
5) NYPD Blue (one of the best procedural cop shows ever made.)
6) Angel (also why I'm here)
7) Dollhouse (ditto)
8) Red Dwarf (so very funny- when I want I laugh I go here)
9) The Venture Bros. (I seriously love this cartoon series and all the homages it makes to pretty much ever 60's, 70' and 80's cartoon action series, plus all the superhero, espionage and pulp tropes. It really is great)
10) Veronica Mars. The true successor to Buffy. In wit, in characterisation, in having a strong, kick-ass, female lead. This is one of the most underrated shows ever made.

...Sleepy Hollow may possibly get up on this list. I'm really enjoying it so far, and its so densly packed I probably will go back and rewatch to catch things that I missed.

I'm not putting GoT up because, so far I haven't had the urge to do a rewatch. It's a great show and I've read all the books so far but I'm wondering if I'll ever want to go back and rewatch the episodes.

Again, I go mainly with re-watch value. What I go back to and watch again and get something new out of each time.

forgot about farscape
the x-files
buffy
angel
twin peaks
the wire
Robotech (first season especially)
peep show
red dwarf
sherlock holmes (granada tv, starring jeremy brett, the best sherlock holmes ever)
louie
curb your own enthusiasm
star trek deep space nine
OLD doctor who (not that new bullshit)
(Hercule) Poirot
I, Claudius
Twilight Zone
I don't know, I can't choose just 10 right now on the spot...

I can't remember but I'm missing a bunch of others. Among those, X-files, Twin Peaks, and Buffy/Angel are probably my favorite.

I like a bunch of new shows but I need time and distance to rate them for an 'all-time' list.

1) Scandal
2) GoT
3)The Office
4)BTVS/Angel
5)The West Wing
6) Prison Break
7) Roswell
8) Parks And Rec
9) Friends

Ohhh, this is hard! In no particular order, I would go with:

Buffy/Angel
Supernatural
The Walking Dead
American Horror Story
That 70's Show
The X Files
Veronica Mars
Freaks and Geeks
Twin Peaks
True Blood

Special mention goes to Orange is the New Black, Girls, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Dr Who, Daria, Six Feet Under....I could probably go on forever, haha.

Again, I go mainly with re-watch value. What I go back to and watch again and get something new out of each time.
I agree, there are a lot of good shows but not all of them I rewatch.
In no particular order, except Buffy being #1.

Buffy
Angel
Dollhouse
Gilmore Girls
Law and Order: SVU (This show is like always on TV and it's great)
Bones (I love David and I like the science stuff.)
Once Upon A Time
Doctor Who
Cold Case (such a great crime drama, I cry at the end of almost every episode, it's under appreciated.)
Boy Meets World (seriously have seen this show probably as much as I've seen Buffy)

Honorable Mentions: Melissa and Joey (they have great chemistry and I think it's hilarious), Still Standing (another hilarious sitcom), The Big Bang Theory, HIMYM and Grounded For Life. I have a thing for sitcoms. I grew up watching a lot of TV as a teenager, I didn't have a life. lol. Orange is the New Black is great but I haven't rewatched it yet. Full disclosure, I have also never seen GoT or Breaking Bad or Walking Dead, or at least I have not gotten into them after the bits I have seen.

ooh this is tough. in no particular order:
  • farscape
  • buffy & angel (come on they're in the same universe they count as one)
  • battlestar galactica
  • the x-files
  • fringe
  • veronica mars
  • dollhouse

  • parks and recreation

Nice to see I'm not the only one who still loves X-files
A tough question here. I wouldn't consider myself to be a massive TV watcher but at the same time I can think of plenty shows that I've enjoyed. So I'll just list from the top of my head and see what I come up with.

Buffy & Angel - I think it's easier to treat these as one since it's the same verse. Buffy is my favourite but the Angel show is important as well. This is a quite clear number one for me. I'm still invested in the comics and I still in enjoy and look forward to a re watch after multiple viewings.

Game Of Thrones - No order from here on out. I agree with what others have said that it might not have the re watch value of other shows but it's so good first time round I think it merits a place. The scale of it, the character detail, all the twists and turns. It's must view for me.

Only Fools & Horses - It's classic. Brilliantly funny and with a really warm and relatable cast.

The Simpsons - Easy to overlook because it's part of the furniture and the quality has been diluted due to the number of years on screen. At it's best though it's easily one of the best programs of all time. Funny and re watchable. Also brilliant for quotes and general knowledge quiz's.

Sherlock - It's not always perfect but is one of the best things on TV at the moment and I always look forward to it. Gripping viewing, full of wit and great chemistry between Holmes and Watson.

The Inbetweeners - Alright so I'm immature. This is the best comedy of recent years. Always has me in stitches. Enjoyed the films as well.

Red Dwarf - Very silly and very entertaining. The space core directives bit between Kryton and Rimmer gets me every time.

Blackadder - Sharp and funny. Rowan Atkinson at his best with a brilliant cast as well.

Firefly - It only got one season but I've been compelled to re watch and really enjoy it. I count serenity as part of the run to make feel more like a season and a half.

Ultimate Force - I'm not sure if this really is in my top ten but it's springing to mind at the moment. Turn your brain off and enjoy Ross Kemp waging a war on everyone.

I'm not really a TV watcher, I kind of bounce around and other than a couple of shows, I rarely watch a whole series. In no particular order:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Angel
How I Met Your Mother
Friends
The Big Bang Theory
Gilmore Girls
HGTV in general
Band of Brothers

I really want to start watching Once Upon a Time, Scandal, and Supernatural, so once I'm done with the HIMYM series (which, btw, I noticed is chock full of Whedenverse actors!!) I will start one of those!

Picking ten shows? Honestly, it's not that difficult for me because there aren't that many I'd recommend to other people. Keep in mind that the order I put these in is mainly dependent on my love for the characters and their story, not one show being superior - quality-wise - to the other.

1- Breaking Bad
2- Game of Thrones
3- Buffy the Vampire Slayer
4- Dexter (Would have been my favorite if not for the terrible, excruciating last season)
5- Angel
6- Lost
7- True Detective
8- The Walking Dead
9- The Wire
10- Prison Break (Would have been much higher if the series had ended after S1)

Honorable Mentions: Arrested Development, ''24'' and Supernatural (pre-S4).

I agree about Supernatural, I like the first 5, then I just lost interest, and I think it should have ended a while ago.

Oh Dexter! I can't believe I forgot to put it on my list.
I couldn't do a top 10, there aren't 10 shows I watch now or recently!

well, on re-watch value my top ten must be

Buffy
Angel
Dollhouse
Firefly
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (haven't actually re-watched it yet but I will be doing once the DVD arrives)
Friends
The Simpsons (it's always on TV and it's rare for me not watch it if I'm not doing something else, especially the older episodes, but I don't necessarily do organised re-watches)
Blackadder (series II-IV)
Fawlty Towers
Castle

I'm currently re-watching Homeland too, but only because my brother wants to catch up and won't watch it without me for some reason.

My actual top 10 shows is still too difficult to pin down though, but I'm getting closer.
