What's your Top 5 "really bad" movies? (You can name more if you like!) You know the type... the movie that the crictics shoot down & so bad that it flopped at the box office, or the only reason they ever made a dime was because of the star, but you STILL love them anyway!

Here's my 5:

Crazy In Alabama - starring Melanie Griffith - this is one of my all time favs - ever! But the critics cut it to pieces & I think it lasted about a week at the box office.

Pet Cemetary - Most Stephen King novels get f***ed at the movie level, except for ones like The Green Mile & Shawshank Redemption... but the really BAD ONES? I love those! Maximum Overdrive ... heh! and PET CEMETARY! - I loved Fred Gwynne and man! that little kid (Gage) was freaky!

Shag - Phoebe Cates, Bridget Fonda & two other girlfriends fool their parents into thinking they're going to visit "Fort Sumter" in this 1960's girly-girl movie. But really they head off to Myrtle Beach for one last "hoo-rah" of girly vacation fun. Corny, corny, corny - but I loved it.

Van Helsing - Ok, everybody I know HATED this movie. It was called lame, stupid, blahblahblah. But I LOVED it. I was especially impressed by the woman vamps - such incredible special FX. And yeah, ok, a little crush on Hugh Jackman... but still 😉

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - I just loved the whole premise of this movie. And Sean Connery... the gods were blessing my life when they created him.

OH! - and anything with Arnold Schwarzenegger! Commando, Predator, The Running Man, Total Recall, Eraser, The 6th Day, etc... Corny as all hella, but I love'm all!!!

Everytime I see something about a wagon, I'm inclined to mentally go "gonna paint a wagon, gonna paint it good"...The Simpsons have ruined that for me!
In no particular order:

"The Beach Girls"
Cheech & Chong's "Up In Smoke"
"Elvira, Mistress of the Dark"
"Smoky and the Bandit"
"The Cannonball Run"

Probably a few others that I can't think of right now.

Well, everybody from the standpoint of viewers. As a matter of fact, four of the five movies I listed were very popular, but pretentious movie critics hated all of them.

Oooo, i love movies that are so bad they are good!

1)Super Mario Bros. Come on... it was awesome! "Trust the fungus!"
2) in the line of video game movies, Street Fighter. It amazed me how Jean Claude Van Dame, with his accent and all, played Guile, who was like THE american character in the game/movie. The irony is forever hysterical.
3) Total Recall for SURE... i am constantly quoting "You think this is the real Quade? It is!" and my boyfriend always does the "see you at the party, Victor!"
4) A.I. I don't think it was abad movie at all, but apparently everyone i know thought so, and critics as well.
5) Three Ninjas! the original! I need to so buy that movie. "Rocky loves Emily! Rocky loves Emily!"

Moulin Rouge got all kinds of good karma from Crictics. I liked it too. I was very impressed with Nicole Kidman in that.
