Your Top Ten TV Shows Of All Time!

Been chatting to a couple of old college mates this afternoon at the pub (hey, i work for myself, i can have Friday afternoon off if i want, okay! 😀) and we got to talking about television and what we were all watching at the moment compared to the shows we used to talk about in college.

Anyway, it got me thinking about what shows i consider my favourites and i thought i'd see what everyone here had to say about the subject. What would be your top ten of all time?

For me it would have to be:

1) Buffy the Vampire Slayer (well, duh!)
2) Angel (double duh!)
3) Farscape
4) Stargate SG-1
5) Highlander The Series
6) Lost
7) Stargate: Atlantis
8) Firefly
9) 24
10) Battlestar Galactica (new version)

Better give an honourable mention to Highlander: The Raven too. It would have made the top ten ... well, if i could have included eleven shows anyway! 😀

So what about everyone else? What are your top ten tv shows of all time?

I do have a good excuse for not putting Veronica Mars, The OC, Lost or other new shows... havent had a TV for the past 3 years and havent had the PC to download epi since last June plus living in France where basically they dont air the good shows.. so yeah...

I'm gonna include anime-series, cause else I can't fill the list.

10. Greg the Bunny - Completely insane concept, but with such a great cast (Seth Green, Eugene "Jim's Dad" Levy, and Sarah Silverman) you can't go wrong.

9. Love Hina - A funny and sweet Romantic-Comedy series... anime-style. (Flying turtles included.)

8. Nip/Tuck - A very twisted show that dares to go where other shows won't.

7. Hex - A rather new show (2 Seasons so far). It's like Buffy... yet it's completely new and original (unlike some other supernatural shows). It continues to surprise you and you can't possibly foresee the plethora of unexpected twists.

6. 8 Simple Rules... - Hilarious! The chemistry of the show was great. The unfortunate passing of actor John Ritter and how they dealt with it on-screen secure it a place in my list.

5. Gilmore Girls - Such a funny show. Very lighthearted, which is just what we need in these dark days. (Plus Lorelai is a total MILF: lucky bastard that Marc Blucas.)

4. Dawson's Creek - This was thé teen-show during my younger years. (The good old days.)

3. Angel - Very near tie with number 2, but the darker tone of Angel simply didn't always fit my personality.

2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer - My absolute favourite show of all time... but not the best series I know.

1. Neon Genesis Evangelion - Without a single doubt, this anime-series (with its movie) forms the best piece of fiction I know in any medium.​

i agree with those shows, although for me BSG would be higher than number 10... and Angel would be number one, not Buffy.

1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel- I couldn't choose. They are both too good.
2. Friends- I love this sitcom. It is funny and has a nice "friendly" feel to it. It makes you feel like you're part of the group.
3. Gargoyles- I've loved this animated series ever since it first started way back in 1994 and I still love it.
4. King of Queens- This sitcom is probably the funniest I've ever seen. I've never laughed so hard while watching TV.
5. Lois and Clark- It's really good. It does have it's stinker episodes but overall it's a great series. It was my favorite before BtVS and AtS came along.

I don't watch much television so I only have a top 5.

Here's my favourite 10, all for different reasons..

10. Sex and The City (Sassy, sexy, and fun. Also it's amazing what men can learn about women when they watch this!)

9. Saved by the Bell (the original ones with zac, kelly and 'the gang'- who doesn't love Screech?!)

8. 3rd Rock From The Sun (Dick and Harry have me in histerics laughing!!)

7. Will and Grace (two words - Jack and Karen!)

6. X-Files (Amazing stand alone ep's and a constant story arc. crime/thriller/super natural/horror and even the odd comey ep!)

5. CSI (The Original one, some of the most amazing eps and story lines, + Warwick's hot!)

4. Friends (I've grown up with this series, and although people think it 'lost it's magic' somewhere along the way, i don't and love every series)

3. BTVS(Amazingly thought out and planned + butt kicking + amazing acting)

2. Angel (same as above, but for me it's just before buffy because i enjoy darker shows and reckon it worked really well for Angel)

1. Only Fools and Horses (Classic!)
