You are a Hollywood producer in search of a new series. It has to be in the scifi/fantasy category, based on a current writer's work, whether series or stand alone novel, and cannot be a remake or spinoff of any existing or past series or movie. You have the option of picking your lead stars or not. Have fun.

My series would be based on F Paul Wilson's "Repairman Jack" series (If you've never read any of the books, Jack is a man who "fixes" situations so that they will never happen again. Quite a few of his books involve supernatural situations.)

I'd go out and make Friends in the future... 😀 Before they ended

When they couldn't get dates they would date robots.. Joey would stick to the robots cos they were programmed to laugh at his jokes.
Phoebe would have a futuristic guitar that would yell at people if they didn't clap
Ross would still be geeky, but interested in the human years instead of dinosaurs
Rachel would design future clothes, and have a freaky hairdo
Monica would be making future food
And chandler would be in charge of something important but no one would know what

I would probably make up my own little universe. Sorry, but I'm not to keen on having to rely on other people's characters. That only works if I' really in love with something, like Buffy or Angel.

I just finished a book by Keri Arthur called: Full Moon Rising. Here is what it is about:

"A rare hybrid of vampire and werewolf, Riley Jenson and her twin brother, Rhoan, work for Melbourne's Directorate of Other Races: an organization created to police the supernatural races and protect humans from their depredations."

I don't know which Aussie actors could do the job, but you could change it to a place in America...so my choice for actors could be:

Riley: Anne Hathaway, Claudia Black (though maybe too old for the role) or Kristin Kreuk
Rhoan: Not sure, will have to think harder

The vampire diaries... I would like turning them into a show! We need it. Not caring for twilight, this is better!

Garth Enis had a very gritty supernatural comic out called "Preacher" I would like to work with that on HBO or something, where I could more closely represent the comic. That was some pretty dark stuff though,

I'd like to do a dramady of the fantasy line, but noone would get the commedy part of the dramady, It couldn't be like sex in the city where the girl says....'That guy was hung like a half orc.'

I would likely be the only one getting the jokes! Perhaps if my fantasy show takes place in the not so distant future where armegeddon has wiped out society and thrown out physics in favor of majic....That way I could still use bits from our society and meld them with the fantasy world, "Twinkies...no thanks...they are the only food to survive all orphans day, they can't be healthy for you. Plus I hear they are as addictive as ambrosia wrapped in bacon."

dumb little lame lines like that.

Ambrosia wrapped in bacon . . . HAHAHAHAHA!
My tv show would be called "The Witcher".

It's a fantasy series of books by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski and in Polish it's known as Wiedźmin.

For those of you who don't know - the Witcher (Geralt) is a kind of Slayer - except that he fights monsters for money.

There was a 13 part tv show (made in Poland in the late 80's early 90's with a very low budget) based on the books by Sapkowski and although it never made it to the UK or the USA (as far as I know) a fan of the show and the whole idea, translated the script from the original Polish and created subtitles. These subtitles at times were confusing, but overall the viewer got the jist of the story.

I'd love to see a high budget remake of this show for the UK / USA networks as with special effects as they are now the show would be very, very popular (in my opinion).

The video game is well cool Relic - and it should be even better now that it's creators have released the Enhanced Version.

The video game turned me onto wanting to track down this series. The first book I received was written in another language. I should have read the fine print...still looking forward to this as it seems very cool....may i recommend to you Preacher?
