What songs and movies do you see around christmas that reminds you that its christmas time? My christmas song is The Pogues ft Kirsty MacColl - Fairytale of New York. I grew up on that song. My christmas movie is Bill Murray's Scrooged (thats on tonight actually). So what are your ultimate christmas songs and movies?
 
I have to hear Grandma Got Ran Over by a Raindeer, but Fairytale of New York is my second choice. And Scrooged is my all-time favourite Christmas movie(i finally bought it yesterday), and then it's Nightmare Before Christmas.
 
The War is Over is my favorite Christmas song and I have way too many favorite Christmas movies to name just one! I just have a thang for Christmas movies: A Christmas Story, Gremlins, Mixed Nuts, Scrooged, A Nightmare Before Christmas, just about any other Christmas movie ever made! 🙂
 
Wizzard "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday" and The Pogues ft Kirsty MacColl - "Fairytale of New York". Movie would have to be The Nightmare Before Christmas. Also I love the movies Scrooged and A Muppets Christmas Carol

I love the remake of Miracle on 34th St. Richard Attenbourgh is really good as Santa. It's not even that good a movie, but a few of the actors give it spirit.
 
Have Yourself A Merry Christmas is my favorite song at the moment, just because I have to sing it at the CHristmas gathering in two days *nervous nervous* and my favorite CHristmas movie is that one with the reindeers (that narrows it down) but they are fake (that narrows it down) and it has the red guy (that narrows it down). I'll try to find a name.....

So no one liked A Diva's Christmas Carol? Hmm, I guess not ... VH1's movies usually aren't worth liking I guess, huh? I didn't like it ... no way ... yucko ... trash. *darts his eyes every so often and studders* Worst movie ever. *fake smile*
 
Pogues, Slade ("Merry Xmas Everybody") and Band Aid for songs. "It's a wonderful life" film-wise.
 
"Fairytale of New York" by the Pogues with Kristy MacColl my favorite Christmas song. (Close second to "Daddy's Drinking up Our Christmas" by Buck Owens and the Buckaroos.)

Bad Santa very quickly became my favorite Christmas movie. And because no one's asked, "A Popular Christmas," from the series Popular, my favorite Christmas TV episode.

I know this sounds incredibly strange and people on other boards have wondered why but Die Hard.

Die hard just gets me in a christmas mood, and the christmas songs on it.

I also like the grinch and yesterdy i watched Elf, which totally psyched me up for christmas.

Let it snow by Dean Martin gets me ready and it's on Die Hard
 
Movies: How the Grinch Stole X-Mas(sings you're a mean one, mr. grinch...slightly off key, but it's all good 😀), Prancer, Rudolf(the clay-mation movie), and we have this movie that's a muppet/sesame street/fraggle rock x-over, it's so cute! I love it! lol

Now I have a machine gun. Ho ho ho!

I've gotta second Chasity on John Lennon's Happy Christmas (War is Over) for my favorite Christmas song, followed by Jill Sobule's rendition of Merry Christmas From The Family and Band Aid's "Jesus Whoa-oh-oh" song. On the traditional front, I'm a big fan of Oh Holy Night. If somebody with a powerful voice is singing it, that "Fall on your knees" line always sends shivers down my spine!

For movies, I'll throw my hat in with Mr. Pointy and It's a Wonderful Life. I've been known to randomly exclaim, "Hey Burt! I'm bleedin'", when I get a papercut, which always seems to fly over people's heads. Odd, since I don't think there's a human being alive who hasn't seen It's A Wonderful Life (okay, maybe like four guys in Madagascar).

And by far my favorite Christmas special is The Year Without A Santa Claus, with the best character ever: Mr. Heatmeiser!
 
My Christmas song maybe would be Rudoplh the Red-noised reindeer and White Christmas. Movie is definitely Home Alone 1 and 2 because they have showned them like every Christmas on tv in Finland for years now... 😀 I actually don't even like those movies that much anymore but still always when I see them I feel Christmassy. 🙂
