What was the best and worst movie you saw in 2017?
Best - The Call. I was shocked by how much I loved this movie, after buying the DVD years ago and letting it collect dust, so to speak.
Worst - One of those horror movies from
@Mr Trick 's Halloween month, I think I gave one of them a 3 point rating in the film thread
🙂
What was the best book you read in 2017?
Honestly can't remember any books that I read this year, though I spent the past 12 months
planning to read several, never got around to it
😛
What was your favorite experience of 2017?
Any moment I got to spend with my niece - so I guess my answer would be being an aunt, even though she was born last year, technically. This year she started crawling, then walking, she's now recognizing me, and she gets this mischievous grin on her face just before she does something she's not supposed to, totally adorable. Anyway, yeah, being an aunt has been the best part of 2017, and will no doubt be the best of 2018, as well.
What was your favorite new tv show of 2017?
Supernatural!!!
😀
I technically started watching it in late 2016, but I got annoyed and stopped, then went back and binged from the pilot in January of this year, so I'm thinking it
just counts
🙂
What was the biggest surprise of 2017?
Hmm, I don't know that anything truly shocked me this year, nothing that I can remember right now at least, so I'll probably have to go with my mom's decision to quit her job and start her own business. Happy surprise, though, for sure.
Did you accomplish any goals/resolutions you set for 2017?
I'm not really big on resolutions, so that'd be a no.
Did you learn any new skills?
I suppose I became a better Gimp artist after joining this board, lol
😛 but other than that, I don't think so.
What single achievement are you most proud of from 2017?
I've managed to become an even bigger, more hardcore Supernatural fan in less than a year than I did after 20 years of watching Buffy. In my twisted mind, I think that counts
😛
What was the most important lesson you learned in 2017?
I spent the year slowly figuring out how to deal with my new finances, to the point where I no longer have to anxiously hope I have enough money every time there are two weeks left until my next paycheck. That's a lesson I can take with me for years to come, I think.
What purchase that you made turned out to be the best of the year?
The sweater I'm currently wearing, and have been wearing every day since I bought it. It's super comfortable, warm and very simple, just black with pockets and silk going through the hood.
What was your favorite place that you visited in 2017?
Wracking my brain and I don't remember going anywhere new this year. Hmm, maybe the brunch restaurant my friend took me to? Yeah, I'll go with that, great food, super cheap
🙂
What news story did you follow most in 2017?
None, don't really follow the news. Nothing sticks out in my mind, at least.
If you could describe 2017 in three words, what would they be?
Not
all bad.
