Now, I am not fond and actually dislike many things; people, the PC, netbooks, people that use PC netbooks.. but this is actually kinda cool.. the geek in me is interested..

Foldaway Laptop

The machine has a screen that folds down like a standard notebook or netbook. It also has larger QWERTY keyboard that folds up as well for a smaller package to carry with you on the go.

That's a great idea for the keyboard, one of those simple solutions that a genius would completely overlook, but that still leaves you with a screen so small (6 1/2 inches) that you'll need a magnifying glass just to read the print. At least, at age 62, with my tired ol' eyes, that's my first thoughts. I would still like to see the actual computer, though, before making a final judgment.

I dont think it has anything to do with age but more like common bloody sense! Thats why I really dislike netbooks. Its like a glorified cellphone screen. Very difficult for me to see them as well. Now, if the managed to make like a telescoping screen!!

Me too!! I just got a nice spring assisted opening S&W knife this week.. have you seen/tired those? (granted not the same thing but in the ballpark)

If they made those spring assisted it would be nice; it can be very cumbersome sometimes to open them, at least for me.

That computer is freaking AWESOME, but I agree; it means the screen will be super small! I wouldn't want to use something with a screen that small for long periods of time..

Have you seen that commercial where the mother gets a new minivan and has her baby bag on top and people are pointing at her? I will forever, or at least for a few days, think of YOU when I see that commercial.

I sometimes read whole books on my little Blackberry screen. My eyes are good (but let's not talk about my hearing...). The small screen's ok with me.

The Gerber Autoplier...

I heard about that before I think, but never saw it in action before! I.. was never fond of Gerber craftsmanship, but that is impressive.

I have the Kershaw 1550, the original SA knife, designed by Ken Onion. great folder, though a bit bigger than I prefer to carry every day.

This is the first SA knife I got, small enough to easily carry in your pocket [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7S_ElvKhHRA&feature=related"]S&W MP[/ame]

But that Kershaw.. yeah.. fan of theirs. Do you like SOG?
I just saw their Kilowatt knife, and while I do not think I would have a big use for it, it seemed like it would be a VERY handy tool.

This is my primary carry knife. Small, easy to carry, and takes and holds a good working edge. The secondary lock is a pain, though.

I just dont know if I like small.. they are much easier to carry but.. they feel so weak in the hand. Nothing really feels like that classic Buck.. the simplistic beauty and nice sturdy feel. No bells and whistles.. just.. ahhh i think the woodgrain comforts me.

This is something I'd buy if I had money to waste. I'd only use something like this if I was on a journey for 2+ hours.
