that was my same thought and thats why i asked the question i think cordy wasn't dead at the beginning of the episode but still a vegetable but when the powers allowed her to astral project or what ever it was she exhausted the rest of her essence is which is why she died a choice between living as a vegetable or getting a one chance at living and instead of doing her own thing by spending the day as she wish she chose to help angel back on his path. because after all she did say the powers gave her a chance and she didnt waste it.
