Cordy is loyal to Angel, so I don't think her reaction to Eve is that strange. It's fairly obvious to her that Angel is not a fan.
ANGEL: Eve, I mind you breathing. Get out.
Add to the fact that Eve works for Wolfram and Hart, the folks that are responsible for Angel losing his way, and forgetting about the mission, so I think Eve is well deserving of the verbal smack down that Cordy excels in.
As for Cordy thinking she own the place. Please, Cordy wouldn't be caught dead owning Wolfram and Hart, she's far too classy for that dump. 😀
She is simply there to point out how ridiculous it is that Angel is there in the first place. To drive home the fact that he is working for the bad guys, and should not forget it, or he will become like them. And that he can turn the place to his advantage, and hurt the bad guys more than ever before.
 
I love that eppy. I really hated it that Cordy died, but it was the only logical conclusion without bringing her back completely, & Charisma Carpentar was the one who opted out in season 4.

But I am glad she was brought back for that one eppy - it was a wonderful way to send Cordy off.... being Cordelia, as always!

My 2 favorite lines were both Cordy to Eve... (grabbing Eve by the ear) "Let's go Lilah Junior!"

and of course " Get out of that chair and I will feed you those Manolo Blahniks...which are stunning by the way"

A little trivia for ya! - The staff asked for permission from Manolo Blahnik to use their company name onscreen. The company then provided footwear for the episode and insisted that characters wear the products even if the shoes were not shown on camera.
 
Man, this episode always makes me teary. You all know how much I wanted Cangel to work. That episode just kills me. The look on Angel's face when he get's that phone call that Cordy is dead is heartbreaking. And their kiss? YEAH!

I agree; Angel's expression at the end is one of pure torture and sadness. Poor Angel. 🙁

I am still just kinda... I don't know. Something about Cordy gets on my nerves in this episode. I kinda feel like she should have been just a TAD more stand-offish. After all, it wasn't like this was Angel Investigations she was walking into. It was Wolfram and Hart. But like Lindsey said, maybe the direction she was given was "This is your absolute last day on Earth and you could care less what anyone thinks of you."
 
I think she was plenty stand-offish and maybe could have been more like pre-Jasmine Cordy and LESS sure of herself lol

IMHO she was more like Buffy Cordelia in this ep...
 
I watched this episode last week and two thoughts:

1. Is it just me or is Cordelia starting to look a little... well... worn? (I mean old, but don't want to sound like a cow!)
2. Was Lindsey always that hot? The shirt off, with the tattoos and him kicking butt was just pure, undiluted, hottness. Incredible. Maybe that's why Angel killed him, jealous that Lindsey looks better fighting 😉
 
so sad at the end of this episode. Poor Cordy. Did you see how happy Angel was when he saw her?
 
When I first saw that episode, my heart sank. I was like, "Yes! Cordy is there for the end of the series!" Then the realization hits and it's like, "Whoa!" Seeing a beloved character go out is never a good thing but under the circumstances, it was fitting. I still wish that she could be a part of the Buffy-verse. I mean, you never really know...
 
I just watched the episode for the 1st time ever about 6 hours ago.

Than, I re-watched it about 20 minutes ago. The 2nd time I watched it, I cried at the end when Angel gets the phone call that Cordy is dead.

I cried because Cordy has always been probably my favorite character in the Buffyverse going back to season 1 of Buffy and for god's sake, she's been around since the Buffy series premiere "Welcome to the Hellmouth". So to me, killing off Cordy is the equivalent of killing off one of the original 4 Scoobies or Angel.

I also likedd Cordy and Harmony punking Eve.
 
OH MY GOD!!!I just watched this...what can i say???one of the most amazing episodes i have ever seen...i actually have tears in my eyes right now...
I am so glad Cordelia's character is back to make things right...for Angel and to say sorry for the things she's done when she was possessed...I really enjoyed the way she talked to Eve...i was like you can't take Cordelia,no one can take her!!!GO CORDY!!!I kind of prayed that someone would come and humiliate Eve and the combination of Cordy's words and Harmony's actions were the best!!!I also supported Harmony in this...and hilarious Angel:"she moves,you eat her!!!" I also wished that Buffy had stepped in and kick Eve's ass but that would be too much! LOL

and Angel shows the very essence of his character just with these words:I'm Angel...i beat the bad guys!!!

Angel

Angel's truly had enough of running W&H. He's never truly reconciled himself with his decision so it's right on the money when Cordy says he's skipped a track. Gunn's comment about them is interesting because unbeknownst to him he's not the only one who made a deal and has an investment in staying there.

What I liked about the later season of Angel is that we have that moral ambiguity (as usual) but Angel is more sure of himself. I think that was his problem before. He didn't make a conscious moral choice, he made a choice more for Connor that was more of a moral sacrifice and that was his problem, he was never going to be able to live with it because of who he is.

What I also find interesting is that Angel himself doesn't believe he's worth saving. This was part of his problem when he was rubbing rat filth on his face: he gave up on himself as well as humanity but it's important that he gives up on neither. Thematically this beautifully brings us back to TCTONC. Hope is what will sustain him. Going back to 1996 this hope was in the form of Buffy Summers. Through her, he wanted to become someone. After losing his soul, going to hell and being manipulated by the First Angel wonders if all he ever was, was a monster. He believes the man in him needs killing. Buffy tells him that's only the truth if he lets it be the truth. If Angel believes in himself, he can be someone worth saving. Of course that may be subjective but at least AI, Cordy, and the Powers believe he is person worth saving so maybe Angel should start listening. The only person who can really save you is you.

Angel's battle with Lindsay was kind of, if you pardon the turn of phrase "Getting one"˜s balls back". He realised that it's important enough to fight for himself, if he doesn't he cannot fight for anyone else.

Cordy

Can I just say, how great it is to see Cordy back as she was. Unlike many Cordy and Cangel fans I don't mind Season 4 and don't think it ruined Cordy's arc for the simple fact that it wasn't her, (aside from Amnesia Cordy who wasn't all of her anyway). This Cordy was more like the Cordy we saw at the end of Season 3: funny, brave, speaks her mind and a tad vain.

Her scene with Angel remembering Doyle was a super hint. Doyle gave his last breath to make sure Angel would keep fighting. I love how she says "˜You're Welcome' at the end. She really does deserve that thank you.

What is interesting is that even after Jasmine hijacked her body, she still has faith in the PTBs, but importantly even though he believes that staying at W&H isn't the right move, she still has faith in Angel. And the PTBs obviously do because they give him a vision about who the real powers are running the Apocalypse.

Gunn

Gunn wants to stay at W&H and believes that leaving wouldn't be that easy. He's not wrong when he says they have helped people at W&H but is it all nobility and nothing to do with the fear of losing what he's got?

Wesley

Pretty light in this ep but his scene with Cordy is beautiful. I truly believe she was saying sorry for what happened rather than believing in her culpability. It was important to her for Wes to understand that she knew what Lilah meant to her.

Lindsay

I believe this mostly about power for him. I can't believe it's just about Angel due to their exchange in Dead End. It was more the fact that the Senior Partners gave him everything Lindsay had worked for. He is not going back to being dirt poor, he wants to be in a position of power and if he can take Angel down whilst doing it then fine.

Final thoughts

Eve really shouldn't talk so loudly on the phone when the vampires are nearby.

Wes gets "˜the look' from Fred.

I loved Angel's tiny Texan remark.

I loved the scene with the tape of Doyle. Not only is it moving (and so I heard for the actors) but it really drives some home truths to Angel.

I also think Lindsay's points towards Angel were not only cutting but fairly accurate in some ways.

Lindsay's comment about defining moments was also accurate. When they talk about the past Angel was taking the first steps towards being a champion and now, it feels like Angel of yore is finally back and Lindsay actually uses that phrase later on.

Harmony did to Eve what a lot of fans seemed to want to do this season.

When I read this back I realised I misssed out Spike which wasn't intentional.

Obviously now, his 'Doyle' mission is over and he seems a little embarrassed although, he still does have a destiny, just one he'll have to carve out himself, like Angel.

Angel calls Spike a hero to which he seems a little,....I don't know. Some say Spike was touched by Angel calling him a hero but I don't believe it's because he was exclusively seeking validation from his grandsire. I don't think many people including Spike mind people talking them up, although I'm sure he's a little surprised and amused it's coming from Angel though.

After his 'mission' is over, he backs up Angel, helping to fight off the security zombies.
 
Just watched the episode for the first time. I don't even ship Cangel, but I was praying that they would kiss, and I was crying at the end, even though I knew she was leaving at the end. Joss is an evil, evil bastard!

I love this epsiode. I honestly didn't like this season, but this was the best part. Cordelia was amazing and she looked absolutely stunning with her new hairstyle!
 
Certainly do love Cordy, but im one of those people who loved her on buffy way more than angel. still, it was a terribly sad episode. Like was said before, she's been around since the beginning so her character dying is pretty gut wrenching for whedonites who have followed both series since the start. And i do like that her attitude was more of BtVS Cordy in this episode, cuz i missed her being like that.

Read a lovely one where the last thing CC does is go to see Phantom Dennis, tells him she loves him and that it's time for them both to pass to the afterlife. And he does so they can be together forever. Whatever happened to Phantom Dennis?, an Angel fanfic - FanFiction.Net Another familar theme is that Xander's attempts to reason with Willow at the end of Grave fail and DarkWillow either destroys the world or takes it over in partnership with The First Evil. Then Cordy appears to her and convinces her to set things right because SHE rather than Xander is the real love of Willow's life.

Questions and observations;
The critter in the tank is very reminiscent of the 4-5-6 we see in Torchwood; Children of Earth. Cordy joins Willow, Buffy, Giles, Angel, Spike, Dawn, Andrew and Riley as a Scooby bitten by a vampire. CC apologies to Wes for killing Lilah. Wes forgives her, possibly because of his own behaviour in 'Billy' and under Jasmine's influence. Nice joke on Hollywood that Conor Farrell (most overrated actor EVER?) is unknown to CC. We see Doyle again, all the more poignant as Glenn Quinn had died from a heroin overdose (with Andy Hallet also gone pretty soon they might start talking of the 'Curse of Angel') Episode 12 of season 5, only 10 eps of Angel left.
Why not DB and CC on the commentary although Christian and Sarah do a great job. First appearance of Izzy the Devil who'll be more important later. Did Lindsey maybe bump into Oz during his travels in Nepal? He refers to Angel as Eurotrash, yeah pal, he's from where the history is from.
Last scene is great and it's not suprise that the tears CC and DB cry are actually real, as were mine.
The WB celebrate the 100th ep of Angel, a series that has run for 5 years and increased it's audience whilst slashing it's budget and has the 3rd bestselling DVDs in the US (Buffy no2, Band of Brothers no1). Then they cancel it. Then they go bust. Serves them right the morons!
