You're Welcome

Perfect episode, though I heard someone say it's overrated. The last scene gets me everytime. Angel cried. That means something, right?

It's good to see Cordy back. The show was never the same without her.

1000/1000

Definitely one of the best eps in the entire Whedonverse! I might be a little biased since Cordy is my fav female, but I don't care, lol. 🙂

This episode reminded me about how much I missed the real Cordelia in Angel. She was soooo important in the first three seasons. Gah!

The fight scene with Lindsey was kinda disappointing to me, I thought we'd see whatever was under there!

The ending was the best part for me. That last scene was really touching and I always tear up when Angel get the phone call and he say she never woke up =(

Doubt they could afford it to judge by the commentary and given Supersymmetry maybe we should be grateful?

Even though I don't like Cordelia's attitude at times in this ep, the ending never fails to make me cry... Angel's expression is one of pure grief, and it breaks my heart.

I guess they couldn't afford it, but then why tease us?!

And are you implying the monster in Supersymmetry looked stupid?

Did a bit, reminded me of something from classic Dr Who (who can name the ep I'm referring to?)

Loved this episode... Probably my favourite of season 5 after or before Destiny - I can't decide. Everything with Charisma hits the right notes, I loved how they gave a special mention of Doyle - it was the whole gang together and a proper goodbye to an amazing character. I know Charisma didn't much like her storyline in season 4, but this was something to be proud of. A perfect 100th episode.

Oh, and Laura Diehl is an idiot: "Only when she’s satisfied that Angel is 'back on track' and that his soul is 'safe,' can she, safely, die. Here, Cordelia produces meaning for Angel; she doesn’t produce her own meaning. Doesn’t Cordelia deserve more than this?"

It's called sacrifice sweetie.

Who is Laura Diehl?
AMAZING! What a 100th episode. Great to see CC back. Nice el tribute to Doyle. What a ending, tear jerker or what. And my all time favourite bit was the look Fred gave Wes when they were performing the ritual. It was a deep and meaningful look of 'oh my I fancy the pants of you' look, haha.

This episode will always make the top of my favorites list, and it's sad that all this time I just now watched it. 🙁

I loved it, and man can Cangel *cough* really tearjerk a guy up *cough*. Lol. Nothing hits me harder in my heart like Cangel/Spuffy. Cordelia/Charisma totally owned this episode, and it was good seeing Lindsey back, but his whole storyline was BORING. I was like, can we just get back to Cordy! That is the only fault I saw, I thought Joss would have written that a bit better. The ending scene makes up for it though, and it just patched me up from all the horrors I had to endure in S4. Connor and Cordy?

*shivers and becomes nauseous all over again*

Anybody got a bucket?

Spuffy and Cangel FTW :D
After I watch things over and over again, I usually don't have the same reaction upon first viewing. But, I still always cry like a baby at the end of this episode, even after countless viewings. So sweet, so heartbreaking...I'm choking up now just thinking of it!

I know what ya mean StarSlayer! Sometimes I wish I could be like Dollhouse and just wipe my memory of Buffy and Angel so I can rewatch it and get the same feeling you get when you make something for the first time. Lol. That'd be cool wouldn't it? 😀

Definitely! But then I'd probably cry all the time at things, lol!
My favorite episode of season 5. I don't like season 5, but this episode was beautiful and Cordelia looked stunning. However, I think she should have just stayed on the show from there till the end.

Definitely! I missed Cordy in s5.
I knew it! I knew this episode was going to make me cry! I just knew it! And it's another reason for me to hate Joss with such a passion! ugh. I started out the episode like the rest, and as soon as Angel got that call in the beginning, I knew it was about Cordy. I just knew it. Then they get reunited, and she almost tells him she loves him and I wanted to smack her for correcting herself. Then at the end, when everyone left and Cordy stayed behind to stay with Angel. I knew, as she was walking out to leave, that she was going to turn back.

"Oh what the hell. One for the road?"
*major smoochies*

It was the best thing ever.

Until the phone rang. I didn't want him to pick it up. I wanted him to take Cordy somewhere else. Then she tells him he has to pick it up, and before Angel even reaches the phone, I already realized what was going to happen and i'm sitting her in the living room crying like a little baby. Then reality strikes. She's gone. And I don't even feel like finishing s5 now 🙁

note: I'm so glad my 1,000th post was on something worth posting about!

awww :( Cordy!!!! Season 5 feels so empty without her.
The thing I love about You're Welcome is that we see Cordelia at her best. She is herself, non-possessed, a bit bitchy just like we love her, and she looks absolutely gorgeous. At the end of season 4 I really hated what they did with Cordelia, she wasn't even a villain I liked. I hated every single second she had on screen and the story, the character made her pregnancy look kind of horrible.

So it was a good thing to see her back, the show owed her that. She just couldn't have died just like that after season 4. It would have been a complete insult to her character.

Oh and, this episode was another proof of how Lindsey is in love with Angel, in my opinion. Okay, overreaction. How Lindsay is obssessed by Angel. Like Eve says, "he is the center of your universe".

Before Cordy says it, I didn't notice that Gunn had hair in this season. Amazing!

I also loved Harmony in this. "How was the coma?" "I'm soulless, I don't mind beating up for the team." "I'm starving. I begged Eve to run away but she wouldn't".

I know. Seeing Cordelia in this episode just showed how great she was and how important she was to the team. The first half of the season was pretty bleh, with everybody being so aimless, so, it was nice to see her come back and straighten everyone out. Remind them of the mission.

And, Cordelia and Harmony were so funny in this episode. Like Cordy thinking Gunn suffered from pre-mature balding.
