Caution, this is a coronavirus related post...

So, they have now introduced a zippered face mask. Now you can eat and drink without having to remove your mask.

Right now it's on sale for $27 ($34 if you add the warranty in case the zipper breaks)

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE

For the discounted price of $27 not only do you get the zippered face mask, but you also get a food-grade silicone, BPA-free reusable straw!
This is a fantastic offer!

Sadly, you cannot color coordinate your straw with your facemask. That would have made it even better.

It's not a bad idea.
Theoretically it's not. But the idea of the facemask is that you do not contaminate the actual mask part of it. If your grubby paws (not yours specifically as I do not know that your paws are grubby) are touching the small zipper, the likelihood of actually touching the mask is increased. Especially if you have to hold the mask whilst you zip.

You are not supposed to touch the front of your mask at all, and this encourages you to do so at a greater rate.

It does - but I think the chances of touching your face by taking a mask on and off to eat are greater than the chances of touching it by undoing a zip. I did - seriously - consider it but I tend not to eat/ drink on a casual basis when I'm out.

That's perfect, sometimes I get hungry while I'm out and have to take off my mask in order to eat.

The one day I had to wear I mask I was taking it on and off frequently and I never touched it. Only thing I touched was the side of my side. But I've had this conversation with Taake before and I realized that I am strange.

What's that, you needed Taake to tell you your strange before you realised that, I never thought of you as strange. Weird, odd, abnormal even, but never strange, but if you want to think of yourself as strange I won't argue with you - there, kind ain't I?
