Honestly, this day has been pretty blah. Firstly, it's my day off.
I laid about for a long time watching YouTube videos before finally dragging myself out of bed.
For whatever reason, I'm feeling pretty depressed, low energy and unmotivated today. I think this is a result of many factors.
After taking a shower and getting dressed, I did some dishes and made some soup. Then I watched an episode of Twin Peaks.
I am now at the library listlessly looking for a new book.

I was finally able to talk to my dad's eye doc's assistant. Two weeks of having "notes left on her desk"! She made an appointment for him to be examined by the cataract surgeon (why couldn't we have done this in the first place?), and then they will set up the actual surgery. Meanwhile, I'm left not knowing when to book plane tickets for that, so it will all be last-minute and expensive. I'm just having to let go of the process, but I do wish Dad had agreed to do the everything-in-two-days option!
 
I like forums πŸ˜€ A little window into peoples lives that isnt all brag book and holiday pictures. Its nice to have an online community that shares like this.

This weather has put me in a great mood. I feel like hosting a dinner party or something haha. It be less work just to go to the pub, but I dont think I will do that either. I only feel so good cos its 9.30am and know I am going to see ponies soon. By the time the pub opens at 4, I will be tired and dirty and DONE for the day.

Dogs will wake up from their after walkies nap soon and then I will go feed the fish and play in the garden until they come to pick me up to go see ponies. Should be home after lunch and then I can decide what to do for dinner. And that will be another day done.
 
I haven't slept since Sunday night because I have three abscessed teeth that suddenly roared into life after I drank a glass of cold lemonade. Still waiting for my dental insurance card to arrive in the mail! My jaw is swollen and I actually began to cry while shopping at Ross. I HATE showing weakness (especially in public!) but I couldn't help it. Went to Rite Aid for a tube of OraJel and opened it while in line. That stuff really works!

So now I'm home, sipping lukewarm chamomile tea. Definitely avoiding anything cold or sugary. In fact, I haven't eaten a damn thing since Monday afternoon. I'm bloody starving, but won't risk setting off the teeth again by eating. Perhaps later I'll have scrambled eggs...or Jello. I feel somewhat better at the moment, though completely exhausted. However, I'm quite thrilled that a rainstorm is heading our way! Rain always makes me happy. 😊

Has anyone else noticed how severe pain completely clears your mind? (Though I'd much prefer having a cluttered mind and no pain!)

Yes, its sorta blissful, when it is brief (sw). Chronic ongoing pain is rough, but sharp and severe is sometimes a welcome relief.
Anything that goes on unrelenting for days is not fun at all. I hope you figure out your teeth soon. Mouth pain is some of the worst πŸ™ It sucks not to be able to get comfort even from food.

Some of the horse owners will be away this weekend, so they asked me to feed up. I dont know if it is a manipulation to get the horse bug to bite again. They are really being so nice and encouraging to me. It feels like a trap. I took some photos of the foals, they are so cute. I wanted to take more photos of the mare so I could convince myself she has terrible conformation and would be no good for me, but I only got one photo before fixing fences and she looks good in it.

This weather is awesome. I have so much energy but I know if I do too much I will get a migraine. What is the moon doing?

Normally I try to stay inside when it's raining, but I HAD to get a baked chicken from Ralph's. (Thursday is always $6 chicken day!) While I was checking out, I noticed that someone forgot to get their change from the self checkout. $40 just sitting there, begging to be stolen. No, I didn't take it. And NOT because I'm such an honest person. 😈 Having worked for Ralph's, I already knew they have cameras everywhere. (If that weren't the case, I would've pocketed that money faster than the speed of light!) I grudgingly called over an employee so she could collect the money. Oh, those beautiful $20 bills. Fare thee well ..

I was wondering why I am so sore today and then saw the loungeroom and remembered I had been moving furniture. So at least there is a reason for the stiffness!

Been out with horses again and have three more days of feeds to do, wooo! Its been so good to go out and see them daily, really boosts me. I am rearranging the kitchen next.

Poor blonde dog got a bullant in her eye on walkies this morning. She stuck her face in a nest of them, I pulled her away but a short way up the road I saw one latched on to her eyelid! Poor darling, she was so brave while I pulled it off her. Shes been sooky since I moved the furniture but doesnt seem like her eye is bothering her.

Looking forward to bed tonight! Fresh sheets and ponies to play with in the morning πŸ˜€

I'm 100% positive she didn't keep the money. She knew if the customer returned to inquire about it, the first thing management would do is rewind the cameras to check things out. (The cameras are there mainly to keep an eye on employees, rather than customers btw) And those camera are everywhere...except for bathrooms. This was explained to me my first day at Ralph's. Evidence of employee theft will result in immediate termination.

Years ago I found $40 in a grocery store parking lot after it had closed. Was walking thru the lot and seen a $20 bill
Since store had been closed for a while and seen no one around, I pocketed the money, continued on and seen another $20!
 
Doggos went to the vet. Poor things had to have their needles. Blonde dog is still bleeding πŸ™ she had a rough time. I hope she doesn't throw up the treats that she STOLE from the bin.

Its a bit chaos when I have the two of them together in that tiny shipping container they use as a clinic. At least the vet comes into town. It seems we were the only ones in line today so I hope the new owners dont give up on coming out here.

Now we are all cuddled on the couch. I made a comfy little reading corner and the dogs would rather squish into it with me than sit on the big couch. I shall go to fairyland for the morning while they recover.
 
When you have insomnia, the definition of "day" becomes a bit muddled. It still feels like Tuesday for me. I thought I'd fall asleep, but zero joy. So I'm sitting here, drinking coffee and watching cat videos. 😺

I received an unexpected check for $100 yesterday. Can't even remember when I last received an actual check. It was so..quaint. Now that I think about it, I wonder if the money came because I DIDN'T take that $40 at Ralph's last week? You know, good karma and all? Hmmm.
 
Did a lot of work out at the horses today. I was wiped out for the afternoon. I dont have to feed up anymore til March, but just had to help move some around today. They keep telling me I can play with that mare and do what I like with her until they figure out what to do with her, but I dont think they mean I can saddle break her and thats really all I want a horse for. I dont want another pet, I want something to ride!
