10 Shows in Danger of Being Cancelled

Oh, I hated that episode... well hated as much as I could hate an episode of Scrubs. Scrubs is my second favorite show of all time so when I say "hate" I mean I thought it was Ok.

The first few seasons would probably be in my top ten. I think apart from number one and two I couldn't put the rest of my favourites in order. So Scrubs is 3!

Is Buffy number one for you?

Yeah... Buffy's 1 and Scrubs is 2... HIMYM, The War at Home, and Freaks and Geeks are tied for 3.

I haven't seen those others, heard a lot of good things about How I met your Mother I must get round to watching it. I think I would have to put Buffy as a solid three as it's the one I re-watch most.

Oh you should watch all 3. Freaks and Geeks is about the unpopular kids in a highschool in 1980... The War at Home is about a dysfunctional family... it's like The Middle and Modern Family combined. And HIMYM is just hysterical.

I like the Middle I hate Modern Family. Talk about over rated!

Anyway thanks for the tips I was going to look for a recommendations thread and you saved me the bother.

OH MY GOD SOMEONE ELSE WHO RECOGNIZES MODERN FAMILY IS OVERRATED! I don't hate Modern Family, I just don't think it's the best show ever... and I think The Middle is funnier honestly.

I like both but I think Modern family only has certain characters that shine. The Middle cracks me up.

Oh, but it's SO funny! Cracks me up.
I've been saving the episodes of Fringe for this season but going by the first two seasons I'll definitely miss it it get cancelled.

Speaking as someone who prefer the later seasons of Buffy I can't agree that 3-4 seasons is the ultimate. But all in all the point is a good one.

Community? Noooo! I mean, I understand that they'll have issues by the end of this seasons because it's a community college, and um, people don't usually go for long. I mean, Annie is thinking about transferring at the end of this school year, right? Saaad!
I usually don't like Chevy Chase, but I've oddly enough warmed up to him in this show. BTW, Troy and Abed = best bromance currently on television.

at my community college, people tend to get sucked in and stay for years. It's god awful...

I don't so much think the length of the shows are the problem, I mean Smallville I continued watching for some reason and it has only been the last 2/3 seasons that it has really gotten good.

Veronica Mars on the other hand - heck i'm still bitter about that. I'm quite shocked at CSI: NY. I don't really watch it regularly but if it is on i'll watch it. If anything could they not pull the plug on Miami?

I reckon Fringe will be safe but you never know. I am please Hawaii 5-O is doing well, it would be a shame to lose Alex again, yip still bitter over Moonlight!

So is The Gates safe from being cancelled?

Yes, it's been renewed for a second season.

I started watching that when it first started, and I keep forgetting... Plus I work Sunday nights and isn't that when it's on?

Haha! I think I just hate it because of the hype to be honest. I am so sick of hearing about it.

I was surprised to see "CSI:NY" on there... I thought all the CSI shows did pretty well. :\ I know a lot of you are "Fringe" fans, too, so I thought I'd share.

Totally get why it's on there. Too many other shows out there like it. CSI has out-spawned itself, people are bound to get tired of the concept. I don't follow any of them though personally I'd rather see CSI: Miami get the axe (can't stand Horatio)

CSI Miami is my least favorite one too, and I can't stand Horatio either lol.
Didnt ER have around 80 or 90 seasons? I think it helped that the show could reinvent itself over and over (and over).

It may sound odd what with me being a Buffy fan and all but I think it's the other way round. I think the better the show the shorter the run.
I can understand that point. I watch some shows that were cancelled and only have 3 seasons, for example roswell. It was good up until the end and you don't have to worry about it being one of those shows that just goes on and on.
I found out Friday Night Lights fifth season is pretty much going to be the last, and I thought why? This show is amazing. Then I thought about it and was like it is good to end when your ahead.

Buffy I think was a good example of a show that had a stride but sometimes that doesn't happen.

That's true. Also, we have to take into account whether or not all of the characters are going full-time. Shirley has kids, so she might not be, and Jeff? Omg, if any of the characters are gonna leave, not Jeff... or Abed... or Troy... or Annie. Britta! Make it Britta! Hehe!

"I'm gettin rid of Britta! she's gotta go)
I'm gettn' rid of the B (She's a no good B)
I'm gettn' rid of Britta
I'm gettn' rid of the B (She's a GDB)"

No, no, I'm kidding I like Britta too!

Nooo I love Britta! I vote Annie
Kristine I actually mention Friends later in the discussion as an example of a show that did stay Ok. I completely disagree with the statement though, for me there are barely any. I thought the X-Files was beyond awful after 2 seasons. It's really all a matter of opinion.
