15 and pregnant

I too hope that she has told her mom about whats going on. It would be better for her to get it out in the open now instead of waiting and having lots of problems later on when her parents find out about it on accident. Trust issues would just add to the stress of her being pregnant. I hope that your cousin gets the help she needs and I'd just recommend that you be there for her like you have been. Hopefully all will go well.

She told her mom, she called me early this morning.....Her mom is sad but will help her, she made an apt for her to get a test at her doctor, to make sure later tomorow. Only now her mom and my mom know and me ofcourse and my mom (our moms are sisters) will help too. So its ok for the moment, but Im still woried about what her dad will do or say. She is still gonna wait till her results come in before she calls her boyfriend so I dont know, Im going with her tomorow.....🙁

The idea of being alone or trapped with something like this is a terrifying one and I commend you for being there and supporting your cousin, Lost Angel. My best wishes are with you both.

remember to remind your cousin that abortion is an option. It's not right for everyone, but for a great many young women, it is. don't let people frighten you off from it, it's just as reasonable an option as adoption or keeping the baby. Wish her luck for me.

We went in for her test about 2 hours ago and she is pregnant. between 2 and a half months to 3 months.....so i think it might be late for an abortion. She is kinda sad....shes calling him tonight to tell him and she is probably gonna leave school this week or the next so I guess I wish her luck too..... 🙁

Thanx WatcherWes and Corax!!!!

I hope she makes a good choice. One she can live with. Good for you for being there for her through this. Everything will work out in time I'm sure. I just hope that she doesn't end up with any regrets that can come with some of the options available. I hope she comes out of this on top and she will with support from good people like you and her mom. Good luck to her and to your family!

thanx rayne!!!! ^_^

Shes not from a poor family so she will be ok if she keeps it, her dads a lawyer and her mom owns a beauty shop (loaded if u ask me lol, thats y she and her sister go to a private school and live in "happy" L.A) So Im not woried, and which ever way she chosses I will help her.....in this one week I have never been so close to a relitive.....not even to my brother.....as I have been to her just now and I will help her for what ever choice she makes ^_^

Will she keep the baby? It must be hard if she has to put the baby up for adoption at such a young age. I hope whatever she decides will work out for her.

you can have an abortion untill the 4th month.. i think at least here n norway!

i hope she'll be okay, i'm glad that she was going to tell her mom 🙂

I am glad to hear that Lost Angel. If she can have that kind of support then I hope she keeps it too. I really believe that in the long run it will be easier that way. Other options have left many people scared for life. If she does go another way I hope she gets counseling before and after. She'll need it.

I feel for your cousin - I went through the same thing so I know exactly how it feels - actually I was only 14 years old at the time. I didn't have support from my parents, infact my mum never even told my dad, and I was given no choice in the matter at all. To my mum I was a 14 year old girl and there was no way I was going to have a baby. I had a boyfriend at the time - he was 18 years old and after this incident we stayed together for a further 3 years.

I went through a termination - alone and scared. I can honestly say that it was the worst experience I have ever had. Despite this I think considering my age it was the best thing for me but it is also something that I could never go through again, unless it was for medical reasons.

I sort of went through all of it in a kind of stupor to be honest and it didn't actually really hit me until I had my first child with my husband. I still think of what would have happened if I had of been given the chance to make my own choices but I cannot change the past - I am just thankful each day for the 5 healthy children that I have now.

If anything it made me appreciate them all all the more.🙂

All I hope is that your cousin gets to make the decisions and doesn't get railroaded into something that she will later regret.

I wish her all the health and happiness in whatever she decides anyway!

I'm so sorry you had to go through that Cordy. I Have family and friends that have said the same thing. And they still live with it. It's very hard and very scary. And you made the point I was trying to make very well. It would just be a shame for her to have to do something that would be hell to live with later. That's a hard situation.
I hope this thread brings forth the harsh reality of desisions that kids make reguardless of how mature thay might think they are. Don't be in such a rush because with all of the time you have in the world it's better to take your time then to have to live with those hard decisions for the rest of your life. It's a lot of time to be hurting wether it's pregnancy or STD's or AIDS or whatever the case may be. Be careful everyone! Be safe!

You are so right Rayne!!! That is why I am waiting to have sex (and i love my boyfriend for understanding) till im 18 or 19 or even till Im married! I was so happy to be old enough to do it but after all of this and the outcomes Im scared and even decided to wait........

wow cordy, you are a hero!!!! Im sorry!!! It must have been very hard on you 🙁 I want to cry now :'(...........
She told her boyfriend and hes not angry at all hes not even disapointed, it struck him like a brick in the face but after a moment he smiled and hugged her.......Im sooo happy hes ok with it. He said he will be there he even made her laugh by saying "It takes 2 to tango" LOL I was there it was great. It was her boyfriend who told her dad and to all of our suprise he also took it good he didnt yell or scream like we expected he was silent and after a while he even told her boyfriend he is glad that it was with him and not somone else......and he never knew him ehich was weird, I guess he liked the boy since he does love sami and it's a good thing wow, I gues most of our family knows now.. the last person she has to tell is her sister and my dad still dont know.....
so i guess its kinda a happy ending!!!

I'm glad that everything seems to be sorted out. Your cousin will feel better now that it's out in the open so to speak. I really hope everything works out for her in whatever choice she makes.

And a termination, in the UK, at least is optional til the 24th week of pregnancy. I'm not sure what it is anywhere else in the world. The subject is a little sensitive for me as my daughter was born at 28 weeks which is only 4 weeks past. A termination was something that me and my husband had to consider when i was pregnant with my daughter as tests showed a problem. To cut a long story very short, a further test proved she was fine but it was a very scary and confusing time for us, the sheer fact that it was something we contemplated. I believe in a woman's right to choose what choice she makes but in the cold light of day when you're faced with that choice, it's a very, very scary thing.

I think you should talk to her! Find out how she feels and try to persuade her to speak to someone else about it!

I know that it can be scary... a girl i know is 18 and has a 4 year old little boy called simon!

It is completely up to her... but i don't advise that she have a baby at her age! I'm sorry to say it!

And if the father even thinks about bailing he doesn't deserve to have children for the rest of his life!

Talk to her! I hope she makes the right decision for herself! And i wish her all the luck in the world! 🙂

Glad everything is working out. Let us know what they ultimately decide to do! And good for you for sticking by her! 😉
