I would like him as well. Plus, Sawyer from Lost, who speaks Southern accent, reminds me a lot of Spike. 🙂

I knew about SMG being in a trial with MacDonald, which always shocked me. Sue the company that hired the kid, not the kid who did the commercial! I mean, honestly, being sued at 5, it's just...pfff, I can't express any word. Sarah could have been such a damaged person because of this! *But she never went Lohan-crazy, gotta love SMG :heart🙂

Me, too. I prefer Nick, who I find more handsome and a better actor. And I like Ryan, he was such an adorable Berg. 😀

I don't think Ryan Reynolds would have delivered the lines in the same manner that Nick did to make them obviously Xanderesque.

But if he were to play Xander, then he would be, well, Xander. And he would have invented the Xanderesque his way.

He's cute and a good actor, but I prefer Nicholas Brendon more and I'm glad he became Xander. The reason I even considered watching BtVS was Nicholas Brendon's hot looks and acting. Without those angry eyes and attitude, I wouldn't have been here. I don't want Xander to be just a goof. I like Xander the bastard, too. I love that Nick gives us Xander with layers: decent guy, big heart, loyal, funny, goofy, clever, stupid, and an ass.

Nick made Xander a real person and not just a character.

I didn't know about Joss being inspired by the simpsons. It used to be my favourite show before Buffy. Although I can't see how Buffy is similar to the simpsons in any way, maybe the slightly digging-at-the-establishment style of humour that works so well in the simpsons.

I agree. Even though I do like Ryan Reynolds. I just find Nicholas Brendon the best choice for Xander, not to mention better looking and acting. No one brings the goofy/mean/good spirit in Xander like Nicholas Brendon. He plays Xander with different layers and that's why I'm grateful he was the Xander we know.

I can't help but think that Ryan would have played Xander more mellow and down to earth would probably made fans like him more, but I don't think I would. I like Xander with an edge. My Xander has flaws, and I love that about him.
