1. How did you get into BtVS?
My mom loved the show when I was a kid, so we all watched it as a family every week during its original run.

2. Which season is your favorite?
Season 2.

3. Which season is your least favorite?
Season 4, even though it has some great individual episodes. Neither Adam nor the gang drifting apart really did a lot for me as far as the season arc.

4. Which is your favorite episode?
Spiral. To see the gang on the ropes like this is really jarring and interesting.

5. Which is your least favorite episode?
I, Robot... You, Jane

6. Who is your favorite character?
Buffy. She is by far the most morally consistent character in the franchise. She isn't perfect but more often than not she sacrifices her own wants and needs to save the world all while tiptoeing around the fragile egos and mental states of everyone else around her.

7. Who is your least favorite character?
Professor Walsh.

8. Who is your favorite villain?
Glory. She's terrifying in both her abilities and her mental state.

9. Who do you think is the most overrated character?
Angel. He's a 240-something year old guy stalking a high school girl around the country and when he's left to make moral choices on his own he usually makes the wrong one.

10. Who do you think is the most underrated character?
I think there was more to be done with Graham than what we saw. He's the only member of the Initiative that came off as a decent human being to me.

11. Who is your favorite supporting character?
Has to be Giles. He has some episodes where he pisses me off (Helpless, and the one where he conspires with Robin to kill Spike) but for the most part he's exactly what anyone would want out of a father figure. He's tough but fair, he's compassionate, he's strong, he's knowledgeable, he thinks for himself. The scene where he drops Buffy off at her home after he finds out how Angelus was turned is such a great scene. He did more parenting in that scene than Joyce or Hank did in any episode or comic of the entire franchise, by a country mile.

12. Which ship is your favorite?
I refuse to answer any question that uses the term "ship" in this way. Shippers are the worst part of every fandom. The only thing worse than a shipper is a shipper who uses a portmanteau of two character names (if I could reach backwards in time and strangle whomever started this "Brangelina" nonsense I would).

13. Which ship is your least favorite?
See above.

14. Which is your favorite friendship?
Tara and Buffy. Tara is the only one of her friends who consistently interacts with Buffy on level terms. By this, I mean that there is nothing ulterior about their friendship. There are no romantic undertones like Buffy/Xander and Xander/Willow, there is no sense that either Buffy or Tara is using the other to prop up their own self esteem as many of Buffy's friends often do, there's no sense that Tara is trying to ride in and white knight all her problems away like Xander sometimes does. Buffy and Tara just seem like two people who care about each other and want good things for each other.

15. What is your favorite moment in the entire series?
Buffy's speech in Bring on the Night:

"I'm beyond tired. I'm beyond scared. I'm standing on the mouth of hell, and it is gonna swallow me whole. And it'll choke on me. We're not ready? They're not ready. They think we're gonna wait for the end to come, like we always do. I'm done waiting. They want an apocalypse? Oh, we'll give ‘em one. Anyone else who wants to run, do it now. ‘Cause we just became an army. We just declared war. From now on, we won't just face our worst fears, we will seek them out. We will find them, and cut out their hearts one by one, until the First shows itself for what it really is. And I'll kill it myself. There is only one thing on this earth more powerful than evil, and that's us. Any questions?"

16. Who had the most tragic death?
Tara by a country mile.

17. Do you have a favorite fight scene?
The entire final battle sequence against Glory. We have the Buffybot ruse, Xander with a wrecking ball, Anya getting her hands dirty, Willow finding Tara and the two uniting to do some damage, Giles doing what needs to be done, Spike almost being the hero but failing to save Dawn, Buffy going all Thor on Glory with the hammer, the sacrifice. All of it is great television.

18. Who do you believe has the best character arc?
Assuming we're not counting Cordelia's arc finishing off on Angel, because that's the obvious answer. So here I guess I'll go with Faith. She's not in all that many episodes but she does a lot of growing.

19. If you had to pick any character to be permanently killed off, who would you pick?
I would have picked Joyce because she's a terrible mom, but she dies anyway. I love the Anya character even though she's a horrible person, but again, she dies anyway. I wouldn't mind seeing Amy Madison get got.

20. And finally, who is Buffy Summers' one true love?
Whomever it is, it's none of the bums she's with in the show or the comics.

1. How did you get into BtVS?
It was the summer of 1998. I was distraught over the series finale of "The Secret World of Alex Mack," on Nickelodeon, and my sister and I were watching an episode of 7th Heaven. After the episode, a rerun of Buffy season 1's "Angel" played. I only caught the first part of the episode before my grandmother made me go to bed. But I was so excited to find out that another episode was playing the next night at 8:00. I watched every Monday at 9:00 and every Tuesday at 8:00 for the rest of summer. Became absolutely obsessed, and continued watching season 3 (and the rest of the series) every week until the series finale. I also would watch reruns on FX and eventually bought the DVDs as they were released.

2. Which season is your favorite?
It's so hard to pick a favorite. I just finished as season 2 rewatch, and it reminded me of the best parts of the show--the cast chemistry, the solid writing, some really great monster-of-the-week episodes and the underlying arc of the season. So I'm going to go with 2.

3. Which season is your least favorite?
It used to be season 4. But over the years, season 7 has floated to the bottom for me. As a final season, there just wasn't enough focus on the main cast, and too much going on. If there would have been a season 8, where some of the stories and new cast could have been paid off, that would have worked better. But as a final season, it's kind of low on my list of GREAT final arcs.

4. Which is your favorite episode?
"The Body". It has always been my favorite episode. Even as I dealt with my mother's death the past few weeks, this episode gave me an odd comfort. I watched it the night my mother died, and it was as if witnessing Buffy's pain helped me to cope with the hard reality of my mother dying. It is such a great episode.

5. Which is your least favorite episode?
"Teacher's Pet"/"The Pack" These are just two season 1 episodes that suck so much. I don't even have a soft fondness for them out of nostalgia. They are just so hard to get through. It's clear that the writers aren't sure what they want to do with the show yet at this point, and it shows.

6. Who is your favorite character?
Tara. There is just something so pure about Tara and her compassion for her friends. Her death hits the hardest out of everyone in the series.

7. Who is your least favorite character?
Kennedy. She was just an absolute travesty of a character.

8. Who is your favorite villain?
Dark Willow. While I wish that we could have gotten more from her (three episodes??), the trajectory and set up of a Scooby going completely off the deep end was such a great arc, and she proved to be one of the most fierce villains. I love the Dark Willow trilogy books that go deeper into her story.

9. Who do you think is the most overrated character?
Angelus. He was a terrible villain. Even though season 2 is my favorite. He really didn't do anything over the final half of the season. Despite there being some really GREAT episodes. He just kind of taunted from afar.

10. Who do you think is the most underrated character?
Drusilla. In my most recent rewatch, I realized how cunning of a villain she truly is. She is such a mastermind.

11. Who is your favorite supporting character?
Amanda. Out of all of the potentials, she was absolutely the best. I would have loved for Kennedy's screen time to have been replaced with more of Amanda.

12. Which ship is your favorite?
Tillow. Their relationship and downfall and comeback were so perfect.

13. Which ship is your least favorite?
Bangel. I still don't get what makes their relationship so epic.

14. Which is your favorite friendship?
Buffy/Willow. From the moment they met, Buffy saw something special in Willow, and helped her to come out of her shell. And throughout the series,

15. What is your favorite moment in the entire series?
After Buffy's battle with the Judge, she and her mom on the couch watching movies to "celebrate" her birthday. There's just something so special about leaning on your mother when you need it the most.

16. Who had the most tragic death?
Tara, because nobody saw it coming. There was absolutely no set-up, it happened so quick and was so shocking. It was such a great cliffhanger.

17. Do you have a favorite fight scene?
Faith/Buffy in Graduation Day is one of my absolute favorites. There's something so perfect about watching these two slayers fight to the death. But also the Buffy/Angelus sword fight is such an amazing choreographed fight. Both of these are equal in my top spots.

18. Who do you believe has the best character arc?
Willow has the biggest character arc. Shy's shy and meek in the pilot, and slowly sheds that over the first 3 seasons before becoming a badass witch by season 5, completely dark in season 6, and redeemed in season 7.

19. If you had to pick any character to be permanently killed off, who would you pick?
Kennedy. Love to Iyari, and I hope it's a beautiful death.

20. And finally, who is Buffy Summers' one true love?

A: I got curious one day and started it on Amazon. Gradually purchased the series second-hand via stores like Half Price Books or indie retailers on Amazon!

2. Which season is your favorite?
A: Season 5, but 3 is a close second. I love Glory and the Mayor. Faith too!

3. Which season is your least favorite?
A: Season 4. 🙁 A lot of good in the season, but there’s also some real duds. Where the Wild Things Are felt like I was having a fever dream!

A: Either Revelations, Helpless, or Checkpoint. All three are amazing, and I especially love the massive improvement in fight choreography in Revelations.

5. Which is your least favorite episode?
A: Teacher’s Pet. As much as I was bored by Where The Wild Things Are, Teacher’s Pet was absolute insanity. Though, admittedly it became a really good running joke in Season 2! 🙂

6. Who is your favorite character?
A: Spike! He’s funny, he’s gorgeous, and he’s great in a fight. Plus, he’s English! Giles is a close second 😀

7. Who is your least favorite character?
A: Parker. Of the main cast, probably Riley, but that was more because it felt like he didn’t have anything to work with in Season 4 or 5.

8. Who is your favorite villain?
A: The Mayor. Glory was fantastic too, but the Mayor was just the perfect mix of charming, funny, and oh my goodness he’s an immortal demon-man. Plus he was just really pleasant, all things considered! “Two words. Miniature. Golf. 😀”

9. Who do you think is the most overrated character?
A: Angel. :0 I know I’ll get some flack for it, but I just think he’s a little bland in Buffy. Much better in his own show though!

10. Who do you think is the most underrated character?
A: I think people forget about Kralik and how good the performance was. He was genuinely menacing, scary, and a really great one-off villain. Too bad he had terrible indigestion!

11. Who is your favorite supporting character?
A: I assume Scoobies don’t count? If I had to pick, probably Graham. He was a good friend to Riley, genuinely liked Buffy, and just seemed like a good dude. Plus his actor went on to be in Longmire, and he was great in that too!

A: Spuffy. No doubts whatsoever. Once he got his soul, I was desperately begging her to give him a chance 😭

13. Which ship is your least favorite?
A: Xillow. Granted, I’m not supposed to like them, but yeesh did they just not gel as a couple!

A: Willow & Xander. The yellow crayon. That’s all that needs to be said. 🙂

A: Buffy & Spike’s kiss in Once More With Feeling as the song proclaims, “Where do we go from here?” Great moment!

A: Jenny 🙁. Literally did everything to help reclaim Angel’s soul, only to die being taunted by him. She was even used to torture Giles as a bonus! 🙁

17. Do you have a favorite fight scene?
A: Buffy’s final fight against Glory & Buffy’s first fight against Faith. Great moves from everyone involved, and seeing Glory getting smacked around by the troll hammer was cathartic and awesome.

18. Who do you believe has the best character arc?
A: Spike or Willow. Both characters completely changed from who they started as and blossomed into incredible and deep characters with a lot of complexity and heart. Love it! 😀

19. If you had to pick any character to be permanently killed off, who would you pick?
A: Parker. Horribly, preferably.

A: If it wasn’t obvious, Spike. He loved her, ensouled himself for her, died for her, and fought for their relationship. He definitely wasn’t a good person before his ensouling, but after? Soulmates ❤️

1. How did you get into BtVS?

I was 7 and my sister was really into Twilight and our babysitter who was a really good family friend insisted she watch Buffy. My mom ordered the DVD from Netflix and I watched the pilot with my sister and ended up far more obsessed than her. Then as the years went on, I binged it on illegal websites and on Netflix when we got it and finished by age 10.

2. Which season is your favorite?

Season 2. I think season 3 is objectively the best (as I look through episodes I just think so many are bangers), but there are a lot in season 2 that are my personal faves and certain storylines that I love.

3. Which season is your least favorite?

Opposite vibes of season 3--where 3 has so many that are bangers, as I look over s6, I see like 10 skips in a row. OMWF is amazing and the finale arc is redeeming but that's all. Even the ones that are well done and that I'm glad exist are just not enjoyable to watch (Normal Again). I do love every season of Buffy and I like that the characters went through this stuff for their overall arcs, but I just do not enjoy s6 as much.

4. Which is your favorite episode?

it changes, but almost always in s2. Right now, prob Innocence. Halloween is my comfort ep and was my fav for a very long time. Becoming 2 also at one point. Also OMWF for a while.

5. Which is your least favorite episode?

Doublemeat Palace. Dishonorable mentions: I Robot, You Jane ; Inca Mummy Girl ; Some Assembly required

6. Who is your favorite character?

Buffy.

Spike (and Dru and Angel)

9. Who do you think is the most overrated character?

Anya. Doesn't mean I don't like her, I just don't find her literal interpretations as funny as most and her lines in the Empty Places argument are the worst of anyone's (except maybe Dawn's, but Anya goes off more)

10. Who do you think is the most underrated character?

Drusila. Not sure if she really is underrated, or if I just used to underrate her. I used to feel kinda meh about her, but she's really grown on me. Her arc to reflect the pain Angelus inflicted is so sorrowful and I'm infinitely impressed with how good Juliet Landau is at portraying her. I think we should've seen more of her and it upsets me that Angel and Spike get to be main characters while she and Darla often feel like plot devices only to reflect the men's developments.

Spuffy, but maybe WillowxKennedy. I dislike Kennedy a lot but I like that Willow is the only OG Scooby who ends the series with someone and we don't have to endure too much of their relationship. So tough. Here are a few, kind of in order of how I'd rank: BuffyxWillow, BuffyxTara, BuffyxFaith (but, like, it's complicated), XanderxWillow, OzxAngel (they have an unspoken bond)

15. What is your favorite moment in the entire series?

I feel like now it's when Buffy can't kill Angel in Innocence but instead kicks him in the nuts and says "Give me time," but for a very long time it was for sure in Becoming 2 when Angel says "no friends, blah blah blah, what's left" and Buffy say "Me" and claps his sword and hits him in the head.

16. Who had the most tragic death?

Joyce. Not sure if it would be if The Body weren't so heartbreaking, though.

17. Do you have a favorite fight scene?

Becoming 2, Buffy vs Angel. Buffy vs Faith in Grad Day 1 is also up there.

18. Who do you believe has the best character arc?

Faith, I think?
