I cannot wait for this issue...it looks amazing. I wonder though if Buffy changes anything about what happened back then will it have far reaching effects on the future? Angel losing his soul for instance?

Acclaimed comic-book writer Jeph Loeb (Batman: The Long Halloween) was set to executive produce, alongside Joss Whedon and animator Eric Wight, the proposed Buffy animated TV series. While Buffy fans won't be viewing that show anytime soon, Loeb, Wight, and Whedon offer the next best thing--a comic inspired by the animated series!
Buffy is bashing Cordelia? I knew I hated that bitch for a reason...
at first I was put off by Buffy's line to Willow; it seemed mean and catty. But then I was reading other people's comments at Whedonesque and someone posed the idea that maybe Buffy doesn't know that Cordelia is dead or was thinking of recent events. Buffy has just been to the future, seen her best friend still alive due to (presumably) her awesome magical abilities. From Willow's perspective every one of her contemporaries is dead, she's outlived them all ...including Cordelia.
Reading it that way takes the nastiness out, makes it funny, makes it ironic. Hopefully this is the way its meant. It's what i'm gonna believe until proven otherwise.
This explanation fits seeing how the first thing Buffy thinks about when seeing Willow was "Willow's alive. This is before I killed her." So she was think about Future Willow when comforting Willow about Cordy being a bitch.
Being a Goddess comes with certain privileges. It's not okay for Buffy to bash Cordelia, but it's okay for Cordelia to bash Buffy? *blinks*

Looks great! Its so nice to see Sunnydale High again! It would be to GREAT if they did a spin-off set during S1-3 in this style.
And Dawn is in charecter sadly. She was basically like this in S5 and dont forget this is set during S1 or S2 when Dawn was 10 or 11, we dont know her personality during those days.
PurplePoof disagrees: I'm sorry, but doubting Cordelia's godliness puts you in the red...
I'm not referring to her as a literal Goddess...it's an EXPRESSION that some of us poofy types use to describe females we worship and admire...Actually, if Cordelia is a saint or a goddess then I'll lose all my interest in her. She'll be just another face with no personality. Unrelatable.
She's an amazing person who acomblished a lot to the world and her friends. But during high school years? She's just a bitch who still has a long way to go. In fact, I like her better in high school years and the first two seasons of AtS than the goddess version of S3 and S4 AtS.
