2009 April Fool's Thread #2: Lyri and Kean

I'm not sure what to think April Fools or not, I'm just gonna wait and see.
 
We can only hope... It would suck major if it wasn't, but I wouldn't blame Buffy for banning them. It's not a really fun joke
 
Well it doesn't seem very funny to us right now, but our sitting here going back and forth speculating on wether its real or not is probably REALLY funny to them, lol... or if it is true its probably pissing Buffy off more... hope its the first one :biggrin:
 
Angelic Slayer agrees: Kean and Lyri were responsible for the "Fake BB", it was an April fool's joke gone wrong so now they are no longer mods (and maybe banned, too) 🙁

Total April Fools. Buffy is a professional and would in no way allow this to be as public as it is if it were true.

yep, this is what i've been thinking....
I've been debating whether or not to say this, but I've decided in favour of honesty.

If it is a joke, it's in poor taste, and if it isn't, I think Buffy over-reacted and my respect for her has dropped. Regardless, were I a new member who just joined, I don't know that I'd return.

I will say this - I found the raid on the fake site to be rather amusing.

Everything else is extremely unprofessional and has the potential to be incredibly damaging. I think it's hurtful, abrasive and promotes a lack of trust in the administration.

I'm cool with April Fool's jokes that are harmless and funny. This is neither.

If it is not an April Fool's joke... I am very, very disappointed.

In fact had I not unleashed a bit of DDLM last night I would totally ripping into your post RIGHT now.

Instead, I'll just say - jeez, it was a joke, it was amusing for those involved and people really need to get over it!

I disagree. How is this harmful? And I know a few people who find it at least amusing, if not outright funny (myself included).

And it appears that this is your first April Fools Day on the boards. Believe me, this is not outside the realm of the expected for this board.

Well, now that I've had a chance to read the whole thread and actually know what's going on...

Wow. I can understand why Buffy's upset. I would be too if I thought someone ripped off my site I'd worked so hard to create.

This is why I hate April Fools Day.
 
Never really liked Kean anyway. Didn't really know her too well. And she took her mod powers too far IMO. I remember a few times where she did something I didn't like. And thought about complaining. And then got distracted by the tiny red light in my room. Wait.. is that a smoke alarm?! When did that get in here?!

*storms off to investigate*

Quick, anyone know how to turn off this damned noise?! I'm fairly certain there's NOT smoke anywhere around.

Also, why ban Lyri? I mean, okay.. stealing bad.

But.. she's so darn sweet..

And that damned machine is getting on my last nerve!
