'24' (Spoilers for UK)

OK, spoiler time (if you haven't seen the first 2 eps of Season 8 yet).

It's sticking pretty close to formula so far, seems like...fairly predictable plot line so far (especially with Prez Hassan's brother/assistant guy being in on the plot). And Jack's reluctantly dragged back in as usual.

The new CTU is kinda cool, the new set. Freddie Prinze wasn't as horrible as I was imagining. And I'll watch Katee Sackhoff in just about anything.

^ Agreed that it's the usual *24* recipe for it's season premieres, but that's ok. We all know it's gonna kick into gear eventually, and I can't wait.

And hey, how cool is it that Kim Bauer is married to a vampire? 😛😛

Is there anybody who doesn't thing Jack's new granddaughter - is it little Teri? - is not going to be put in jeopardy before this day ends?

I'm going to guess a possible cougar encounter. Hey like mother like daughter. lol

I'm curious to see how long this format is going to keep going. Chloe is acting like a leader and sorta pushing the flag into Jack's face, confronting her boss or insulting?
Renee has given darkside a whole new level! "Find something to cauterize that" WTF!!!
Eventually Jack is going to get into this day wholehearted and give up trying to get on a plane to LA and a new beginning. I hope they bring Tony into the story soon because that will bring that crazy Jack Bauer back.
I will confess that I'm not a Katee Sackhoff fan so I'm going to poke the bear here. How many of you guys are upset she's just plain ol' trailer park trash? I hope they don't go with the standard storyline with her character. I'd like to see something creative like she is being bribed to be a mole but she comes clean and they use her to find out intel on the bad guy.
Have to admit Freddie Prinze is surprising me. Need to see if he can do a hand to hand scene to see if he might fit into a new genre he can do. Hell if he partners up with Jack and comes away with all his hands and feet he deserves a big pat on the back!

I think 24 has run it's course on tv. I say do a movie with the proposed European operation then put it to bed for good.
As for this season it is turning into one hell of a good season! With the EMP taking out CTU we are going to see just how good of a black-op agent Jack Bauer is. No technology just brains. I think this is where Tony comes into the picture. Jack needs someone from the 'terrorist' side to help him find the bomb.

Yeah, this season has been a slowburner but things are really starting to heat up now.

But I think the show is probably past it's peak. Season 2 and Season 5 of 24 are some of the most fantastic seasons of any TV show ever.

But a lot of the excitement and 'Holy Sh*T!' moments seem rarer these days.

I still believe a 24 movie could be amazing though - like Die Hard on speed!

Jack Bauer FTW!! XD

Die Hard on speed...excellent description!!!!
Well the 'gossip' is saying that this is Jack Bauer's swan song on tv. Though the tv numbers are good they have basically played out every angle a terrorist can do to the States.
So thanks for the great run now give me the movie!!!

I had her (Katie Sackhoff) pegged as the mole from the beginning, yeah me, nope did not break my arm patting myself on the back, lol. Now I'm hoping that she does come clean and plays a double agent.
Do not mess with Chloe! Man she grabbed the bull not by the horns but by the family jewels and squeezed them to get what she wanted!

I am sorta hoping that they don't use Tony this year. I think his character would be better for the movie because there is a few years where he was totally rogue so that means he could be the foundation for the European idea for the movie.

Katie Sackhoff as a mole in CTU. I'm sorry but that's just Nina all over again. The well really HAS run dry with this show....

Drier then a popcorn fart!
But it's my guilty pleasure and sometimes something happens that still keeps me hooked. LOL

There's a mole every season!

Early on, I was convinced Anil Kapoor's HAIR was the mole! That quiff could have its own spin-off series.

ENJOY THE DAY IT IS JACK'S LAST ONE. I read Fox is not renewing for a season 9. So we all know what that means don't we? 24 the movie!!!!!!!

Well just watched the 2 hour episode and I am going on the record that Tony Almeda helped put Dana Walsh into CTU.
Seeing as this is the last year do you think they will take down the shadowy cabal that has plotted to rule the world all these years? If so I think we will get closure on Tony, the cabal and maybe, just maybe Cole will kill Walsh. Ohh Buffy's husband taking out Starbuck, lol.
Oh sorry your theory about Kapoor's hair fell by the wayside Lytehouse. But I was amazed at how the hair held up during his torture.

I have to say, the conclusion of this weeks' 2-hours was one of the most shocking things I've ever seen on 24 - right up there with Teri Bauer's death and Jack killing Ryan Chappelle.

Took my breath away. Love this show dammit!

Yeah have to agree with that. Best shocker since season 1
Well my cabal theory is out! lol And it looks like Tony isn't going to make any kind of appearence either.
Wow the show just took a left turn and I don't know if Jack is going to take this well. He barely has gotten over the "everyone around that I love dies".
So did anyone else get that immediate douchebag/mole upon first glance of Logans Personel Assistant? There's what 6 hours left and this is really going to get crazy for it's last run. Especially now that Chloe is the CTU MFWIC. We all know she is going to give Jack a long, long, long leash and throw all resources towards Jack's quest for justice.

I'm absolutely gutted that they killed off Renee! And her magnificent breasts! Gutted I say!

I really had high hopes for Jack finally being able to get some happiness by the end of the series. =(

I guess the shits really hit the fan now though - the last few hours are gonna see Jack going supernova on EVERYBODY.

That Russian sniper is going find his rifle shoved up his ass next week.

The loss of Renee is a bad one, for certain. But come on, ya had to know that Little Miss Karma was going to put it to Renee and break it off. I still haven't quite forgiven her for what she did to that little baby last season. Among all the other shyte she did afterwards. Justice.

Still, ya can't help but feel sorry for 'ole Jack. Poor guy just can't catch a break. I look forward to his mission of ultimate FUBAR over the last episodes.

I like that they brought in Prez Logan for one last hurrah. Good actor, good, hatable character. Maybe he'll get iced too, who can say. And it's always good to have an unstable, pissed off Jack Bauer. Chloe's part is much improved. She was totally wasted last year.

So yeah, problematic season. But it seems to be revving up a bit now at least.

Seeing as how this is the last year and the movie is leaning towards a prequel does anyone 'feel' that the series is going to end with a silent countdown for Jack?
