yeah, i got into buffy i think summer 2004. i started watching because i was bored during the day and it came on at 12 & 1pm in the afternoon on FX, and that was about the time when i woke up (being a high school student at the time, hehe) and i just started randomly surfing the channels and came across buffy one afternoon. i was hooked the entire summer, and i even started waking up early when school started to watch it at 6 & 7am in the mornings. then it cut back to only 6am and i got pissed! haha. one less hour of buffy was not good. i remember this one time at 6am 'tabula rasa' was going to be on, <my fav episodes at the time> (i would always set my alarm in the mornings to wake up just 5 minutes or so before the episodes started, and by this point my mom knew- in her opinion- that i had become scarily obsessed with the show) anyways, i didnt hear my alarm or i forgot to set it or something, so somehow i shot up out of bed and sprinted downstairs, half tripping down the stairs in the process, and rushed to the tv. i had missed the teaser for the episode, and i had just broke down crying. i was just really upset, and my mom came in and tried to calm me down, not understanding why i should be so upset over missing like 8 minutes of the episode. i couldn't really explain it to her, and i dont think i still can, but i just loved the show SO much i didnt ever want to miss any of it (even if i had seen it before).
but the whole point of this was that i too cannot remember what i did before i started watching buffy. its a huge part of my daily life. i watch it all the time, but not to the point where i might get tired of it, because i also DONT want to test that theory. i love it too much to ever want to get sick of it.
that's a great show!! i watch it all the time, and i can't wait till the next season starts!
🙂
you should try watching 'how i met your mother', if you don't already. it's so amazingly cute! aly hannigan's in it and does a fantastic job. it's just about to start its 3rd season in like 2 weeks.
