Since Buffy Ended (Tusesday 12.08.03 in Australia), I've been really upset. So the only way to get over it was to start again. So I'm watching Buffy form the beginnging of Season 1. I've watched all of Season 1 now, about to begin the next season.

Okay so what is everyones favourite episode in Season 1? We have less episodes to fight over, so take your time choosing. I have the first 4 seasons on DVD so far and getting the next 2 soon and the Last Season next year, when it's released.

My favourite episode in Season 1 was 'Prophecy Girl' mainly because Buffy has to make a huge and scary decission and the gang fight together for the first time, i mean including Cordeliea and Jenny.🙂

I've got the first four seasons on DVD, as well, only mine are the Region 1 version. I've still got to wait for Seasons 5 and 6 to be released (Season 5 in Dec.; Season 6 some time next summer). My Buffy DVD collection will conclude with Season 6 because of how disappointed I was with Season 7.

My favorite episode of Season 1 is "Angel" because it reveals secrets that Angel has been keeping since he met Buffy back in "Welcome to the Hellmouth", including his past association with Darla and what the nature of that association was.

The whole second half of the season (with the exception of "Chosen") just totally disappointed me. Besides the plotholes and the totally unnecessarily large amount of Potential Slayers, here were my other big problems with Season 7:

1) The neglect of Dawn
2) For the first time, not putting Faith to very good use
3) The death of Jonathan
4) The mutilation of Xander
5) The fact that it suddenly became the Buffy & Spike show. Don't get me wrong... I love both characters, but let's make room for Dawn, Xander, Willow, Anya, Faith and Giles. And while we're at it, portray them in a way that doesn't feel as if they're out of character.
6) Give the First something to do other than try to taunt its enemies to death.

*stops to take a breath* Having said all of that, I probably will still at least rent Season 7 when it finally comes around to see if the special features are any good. I do feel that Season 7 was not without its share of really good episodes. However, it is my opinion that the positive qualities of the few good episodes cannot outweigh the negative qualities of the bad ones.

See, I have to dissagree with so many people. I loved season 7. I realize there were many plot ideas dropped, but it didnt ruin the season for me. I very much enjoyed it. I was happy with every episode (with the exception of "Him", although it had its moments). Even the people who complain about season 6, I loved that season aswell. I thought the "darker" storylines were very interesting and real.

Lol, back on topic... my favorite season 1 epidsode would have to be "Prophecy Girl".

I also hope I'll be able to change my mind. You know what the really interesting part about my feelings towards Season 7 is? "Him" is my fav. episode out of that season! Weird, huh? I like it the most because of the return to the wit and humor of seasons past that had been missing as of late. You can't look at the scene where Buffy's about to kill Wood with the rocket launcher before being tackled by Spike and not laugh!::rolf::

"Chosen" automatically comes second because it is, after all, the final episode. It earns the spot because of the final showdown. That battle sequence at the end (which really does feel reminiscent of the Battle of Helm's Deep from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers) was one of the most amazing things the show had put together. It almost puts "Chosen" at the top of my Season Seven list. However, despite the amazing battle sequence, I still think "Chosen" lacks a certain punch that the two previous season finales ("The Gift" and "Grave") seemed to have in spades.

🙂

Ok! Yeah that spike tackeling buffy in 'him' was so funny, i was surprised hardly n e one spoke of it. I loved that episode. And i agree with u about the really kool battles.

i went for witch cos thats a great ep and i think willow is so cool in it
I love the bit where she runs in and says: ''Where is she??!!''

''Do you actually ride a broom?''
love that quote seeing as what willow will be later on!!

Blue03star: I LOVED THAT SCENE! It's the reason I watch that episode. I laugh my @ss off every time I see that!

Anyway, I love Nightmares. I have clown phobia and every time I see that clown tear through the plastic with the knife I scream. So when Xander nails him I always cheer. Score one for childhood fears! Go Xander!

You, too, huh?😀 Seriously, I could watch that ep. just for that scene. That or the part at the end where Xander and Spike steal the jacket and then bring it back to the house to burn it. Buffy asks Xander if he tried it on, to which he replies, "I refuse to answer that on the grounds that it didn't fit."::rolf::
