Today my dad calls me up, and he asks if I'm gonna be home later that night. I told him that I was, and he asked if it would be ok if he visited me, because he was going to be up my way any how. So I told him sure. When he got here, he came in and told me to put some shoes on, so We could go for a ride. So I went out, and my step mom was in the passenger side. So we whent driving, and my dad was just asking me about my week. So we got down by the ball park, and he pulled over, and we all got out. I was first to get out, and I walked over to a hill. I turned around and saw that my step mom was crying. I was thinking "Oh ****, someone died. OH this sucks!" Then my dad says nick, we need to tell you something. Me and amy are going to get divorced. BAM! I felt my esence sink down to my feet. This is something that you cant have experienced without severe emotional pain. At first It didn't make sence to me. First my step mom turns to me and tells me how much she loves me, and that the hardest part of all of this was that she was affraid she would lose touch with me. And I didn't mean to, but tears ran as they pleased. I didn't break down there, but was very close. And I tried to be strong, for them. And when ever I was close to breaking down, I would bite the inside of my lip reel hard. At one point I almost pierced my lip, I could taste the blood in my mouth some times. When I got home, I just whent straight to my room. Then my mom came up and I told her that I wouldn't talk about it then. Then she tried again, and whent to say no, but I was sad, that when I went to talk I broke down. I just fell apart. I am so sad right now. It hurts so bad. What do guys think might help. I am going to go into work tommorow, I think that keeping real busy might keep my mind off of it, or it will get worked out of me. :: broken ::crying2: Kindred, please don't tell my mom about this, I don't want her to worry, And I can't talk to her about this yet. Im just not ready.

I very sorry for what you're going through. The one thing I will say is that the pain will pass. Unfortunately it will be rough going for a while, but eventually it will pass. Luckily it seems like both your Dad and your Step-mom love you very much. I'm kinda stuck for words here, but please feel free to pm/email/msn me anytime you want. Hopefully you'll begin to feel better soon.

Tree, I'm so sorry. My parents are divorced but my dad hasent married agin yet. I really like his girlfriend like my 3rd mother. I couldent imagin what how you feel. I don't think I can take another divorce in my life.My blessings are with you. May the goddesses watch over you. Good luck, reamber were all here for you.

Oh, Tree...*hugs*...My parents are going through a kind of difficult time in their marriage right now, and it's a living hell for all three of us. The only thing I can tell you is that the pain does lessen, and things do tend to resolve themselves. Fortunately, both of them seem to love you a lot. If you need *anything* or want to talk about *anything*, please pm me. *hugs*

Sorry I've not responded to this sooner. I haven't been on alot on account of my mom being here and things being all busy.

I'm really sorry that your going through a rough time and that you're in pain. I know that nothing will make it better, just remember that they all love you very much and that you have a relationship with Amy independant of the one your dad has. No one can impede that.

Not to worry, I won't say anything to your mom, but (tell me to shut up if you want) I think that you should at least let her know that it's nothing she's done. I know that she will already be very worried about you. Does she know what's going on yet?

Feel free to call me or PM me if you need anything at all.

~Always, Kindred.

You guys are really sweet. I'm so fortunate to have you guys to talk to. But I have a question. I learned about this on friday, then whent to work saturday, now I'm okay with it. I have accepted it, and I don't have a problem with it. Doesn't that seem wierd to anybody. I think this must be how angel felt when buffy passed away, and he was able to live with it. Strange.

I'm so sorry! I've never been through anything like this but I've had to watch my sister leave me and then, in turn, leave her to come and live in Scotland. Nothing like divorce.

My only advice to you is that you try to keep your mind busy for the time being. And when you feel like talking about it... tell a friend... or your mum or dad. You could even tell me, if you like, or anyone of the members here. We're always here to listen to people. Feel free to PM me whenever you want.

I hope you feel better.

*hugs*

Li'l Tree, bud, I'm so sorry for this pain you're going thru. It's your reaction that should tell everyone that divorce is not a good thing. Necessary, in lots of cases, but never good. Like xtrustno1x said, the pain will lessen, even though it may not seem like it ever will. I can only say 2 things: 1) it is not your fault...never even think that! 2) when you get a bit older and you meet a lady you may want to marry, be very diligent in your assessment of her...and vow that if humanly possible, you will never let this happen to your kids. The best way to insure that is to pick a good one the first time...but that is in the future for you!

So sorry...and don't be afraid of tapping Kindred or one of the others of us here (me too) if you need a pair of ears (metaphorically speaking). We'll talk to you if you need us to as well!
