Thanks, & sure, just PM me with what you want, and I'll make it asap for you. ;)
I used to be on the banner makers list, but I wasn't able to get to the boards for a long time, so asked to be taken off, I've never thought to PM elmo to get put back on. 🙂

But, yup, I can certainly take requests if anyone wants anything. 😀

Just PM me with the details.

Ooo thanks very much, with the request what do you want me to put?Just whatever I want iny my sig, I haven't asked for requests in a long time.

These new banners are for Sarah Summers to choose from, so hopefully one of them will be ok. 🙂 If I have more time to play in Photoshop I will make some more. Btw I'm always looking for suggestions for banners, so if you have any let me know. 😉

Very beautiful banners, edb. You work with a lot of details in your banners, which I love very much, something I totally fail to do 🙂

I especially like the first one. The *gothic* touch of it, the colors and the textures are beautiful and its original in its approach. As a contrast the more pastel and bright second banner works very well too. I like how the colors change from left to right and from up to down. All your banner are very clear and sharp (HQ pics?) .. very good work.

Thanks, and yes, if I can, I much prefer to use HQ images - I have alot all sorted into categories on my pc, and then alphabetised within them 'lol'

I like to use filters quote alot - I use Harrys filters which helped me achieve the colour effects on the lighter banner, and I don't know about you, but when I use filter effects on images in PS, I always duplicate the image layer first, then apply the effect to the top layer, and then put it on soft light, overlay or screen etc, oh, and I also like to use gradients quite alot. I only really make banners for fun, I don't think I tend to be very original in my thoughts, I just like them to look nice 'lol' Once in a while I will have a good idea and manage to transfer it to something in Photoshop. 😀

I always put each brush on a seperate layer too, and usually end up with about 20 layers or more, but at least that way I can move stuff around till I am happy with it. 🙂

My latest offering is a prime example of that and had 20 layers on it, after I merged the intial 6 layers - still not sure if I like it or not...

Ah hehe .. I never or very rarely work with HQ pics simply because I never work with photoshoots. I prefer to work with screens and display special scenes that I am emotionally attached to. It try to be interpretive with my fanart and strive for maximal emotion, since that's what interests me in the show the most. Photoshoots are pretty but also emotionless most of the time since they are not connected to anything, hence my favor of screens.

Same here. I always use seperate layers for every effect and brush and filter I use, in case I want to change anything later or find some effects too strong or whatever. So I don't need to start all over again lol. On an average wallpaper I end up with 20-30 layers ... sometimes more. Gradients are fun .. I often use 5-10 gradient layers on different opacities and blend modes to make my coloring as interesting as possible.

I like this wallaper. I like the composition, I am very fond of the different angles you used, to emphasize the distorted views and emotions of Faith. The grittiness of the textures underline the violent topic. The background is interesting and the text very good positioned and fonts/sizes excellent. Personally I would enhance the coloring, we talk about a display of torture and pain here, intense red/yellow spots would emphazise that. Also I would try to make Wes' face visible underneath the flames, maybe set down the opacity or something like that.

Thanks - some good ideas there - will have to try them tomorrow, and have a play around. It's always good to get input from others, and I like to hear how others would have done it differently etc Makes you stop and think when you make future pieces, I always find 😀 Unfortunately I can't lower the opacity of the flame to make Wes' face more visible, as it was all part of the same screencap, so that's how it was, otherwise I would have done that now you've suggested it.

See, that's where I lack inspiration when it comes to emotional pieces, I just tend to go with the flow, but alot of the times I am not emotionally involved or attached to the image's I am using. I don't work with screencaps very often, for that reason, maybe that's why I am never really happy with the wallpapers I make using caps, because I don't really 'feel' for the piece I am making.

Usually I prefer to work with photoshoots because I can be more creative in other ways with them. I find it much easier to work with images that can be interpreted anyway I choose but every now and again I have a go at working with screencaps or particular scenes.

I'm not really an artist's artist, if you know what I mean - you can see your scene wallpapers have had alot of thought and feeling put into them, because you have a passion for the piece when you are making it, whereas mine tend to just look pretty 'lol' I guess I just haven't felt the desire to make a wallpaper from anything I've seen in a long time.

Still, I guess it's good that we're all different otherwise it'd be pretty boring, and that's what art is all about, plus I find it a really easy way to unwind too - there's nothing like messing around in Photoshop after my kids have stressed me out 😀

I love the banners and the wallpaper, it's very cool. And on a suggestion thing, maybe some Dark Willow, or just plain Willow ones, I would love to see some of them in your style 🙂

Ah I see, that's why I usually take my own caps, so I can go frame by frame and take the exact expression, emotion, scene I need. I would have tried to go one or two frames further so Wes' face would become visible. To inhance the fire later on is easier.

Hehe, I personally can't make a piece if my heart isn't in it or if I don't have any interest or passion at all for the subject I am working with. While I on the one hand think that it is a strength in my art, it also is a limitation, because I need a reason to make an art and just can't work with images one a pure artistry level, if you know what I mean 🙂

Absolutely. I enjoy doing fanart a lot. And I like your style just because it is different from mine. I always learn from other artists .. so I am curious about what you bring up next 🙂

Likewise hon, and you have given me some ideas and concepts to try out in the future - oh, and I'm too lazy to cap my own dvds 'lol' But I think I may try that next time & maybe I will end up with a more passionate piece of art! :D
Oh well i'm a fan of your work! *points to sig lol* Annnd I really love your latest banners of SMG...you really have a nack for choosing images that interact well with each other! I love the top and last banners of SMG - the colors are gorgeous and the effects and brushes just melt with the banner...so beautiful!

And commenting on your previous banners, I love the way you've composed the images in the Eliza banners. The images are effects in themeselves in a way, and the minimal effects in the eliza banner (the one where you've chopped the picture up) makes the images stand out more!

The "I wanna hear you scream" wall is divine! Such detail and imagery makes it so effective in portraying your message...it's amazing how you manage to do that with all your work. It's the details and images you choose that make them work as a whole.

Ok i'll stop now! (Sorry)...in other words, fantastic work, keep 'em coming! 😀

*blushes* aww, thank you sweetie :D I'm glad you like it all! ;)
Re:

Wow- the I wanna hear you scream is friggin fabulous! Dark and wonderful!

Wow.... just... wow! Those SMG banners are unbelievably amazing edb! The blending and the colours and the lighting and the screens... they all just work SO WELL together, my jaw just dropped (quite literally). I can't tell you how much I enjoyed them, great work! 😀

I really like the first banner you've done, the SMG one. It's the way she looks like she is trying to get out of the banner. Also it has some nice effects on it.

The other three banners are really fresh and light. I like how your banners look so simple but are obviously not...
