Not vague at all. Your actions cause a death you get put to death. It's simple as that.

Insanity is cop out, if they are they are danger to society if loose and a danger to the other less crazy people and the workers at the institution. And dangers to society have to be dealt with to eliminate the danger.

As for the courts they are led by pussy whipped judges who will use any ruling in the world to justify their agenda even though AMERICAN law is about AMERICA, not Europe, not Afghanistan, not China, or any other country.
 
Like Cordelia said, please please please don't start discussing the death penalty in this thread too. I'm so sick of that discussion, please read and post in that thread instead if it feels important to you. It's of course OK as long as you're only talking about the characters, like we were before, you're more than welcome to keep discussing that 😀

Are there any other characters you would have liked to see comeback either from wherever they left to or as the first?

I think it might have been fun for Xander to be visited by Cordy as the First 😀
 
Hmm..no that's a good point. She would have been dead in Season 8 of Buffy if there was one. Nevermind that!

I heard somewhere that Jesse was supposed to appear to Xander in CWDP, but it was nixed because of time.
 
That's what I thought. Because I haven't seen Cordelia die, and I've seen season 4 of Angel, so..

Yeah, I was just going to mention Jesse, but realized I wouldn't really have wanted him back. It would be a great thing, bringing back a character from the first episodes, it really would. But Jesse wasn't a very interesting character to me.
It would have been interesting though. Because Xander has come So far in CWDP. I mean, look at him in those two first episodes, and in season 7... Seeing Jesse, a friend he had probably almost forgotten about (or at least not thought about for a great while).. who knew him before Anya, before Cordelia.. before he had even really got to know Buffy.. God, that must be strange for Xander.. Could have been really interesting, and sad...
 
Well Joss said the whole point of the Seventh Season was to go back to the beginning. Back to the high school, back to their friendships, etc.
 
I just watched CWDP for the first time (I had a serious problem with S7 after Tara died... Basically, didn't watch the first half), and I was always curious about what I'd think if Amber did come back and play "Tara" to Willow, instead of Cassie. Now that I've seen it, I'm glad she didn't come back. I knew what happened before I watched the episode, but I don't think it would have went the same if Willow did see Tara. She is seriously grieved about Tara, and I think the only reason she kept her cool and realized what "Cassie" was trying to do, is that she knew Tara wouldn't tell her to kill herself. If it was actually "Tara" who had mentioned it, I don't know if she'd have the same composition. You do strange things for people you love, and to look into the eyes of your lost lover (even though it wouldn't really have been her), she might have gotten lost herself.

I don't know, maybe its just me, but thats my thought. Like they say, love can blind you.
 
I agree, I'm glad in a way that Tara didn't come back, it would have been all different. And I'm really glad Cassie did come back.. I always liked Azua Skye, and Cassie was a nice character.

You bring up a good point. If "Tara" did show up instead of "Cassie" then Willow might have actually have offed herself.
 
Yea.. As much as I hate the thought of suicide... I've seen it happen... I've seen what love does to a person... And Willow was definately not the most stable person during that time...

Moving on to a lighter topic, I finished S7 for the first time today... And it was seriously hard to watch... I'm one of the biggest Tara fans out there, and it was killing me every minute... I must have cried 3 times 🙁... And I'm standing by my thought of Tara coming back with Buffy's wish... It's weird, because that "kite" speech that Kennedy gives Willow... Was meant for Tara... They kept most of the lines that were originally going to be for Amber Benson... And picturing that in my head as I watched it... Kinda what helped me through the season... I sound stupid now, but seriously... I knew there was a reason I didn't watch it...

With the exception of the post mutiny or as I like to call it the Scoobies gone permanently brain dead era, S7 was my favorite because this fight was beyond their capabilities and the fact that Spike & Buffy as a couple moved beyond the physical into a relationship that could have lasted if not for the whole dusting thing.
 
The Kite speech was when Kennedy told Willow she could fly around like a kite, and she'd be her kite strings...

But yea.. I didn't think Season 7 had any constant flow to it... To me, they seemed to spend too much time on the Potentials, and not enough developing major things... It just seemed to me that this thing that was the First Evil, was basically like any other thing they fought... With an army of Ubervamps.. But it seriously seemed all too rushed to me, especially the last three episodes... They definately should have cut out some Potential time...
 
No Buffy season imo had a constant flow to it. The Potentials were the focus on the Slayer side so of course they are gonna get a lot of attention, but they got way to much, and there was to many of them at a time. The First was as average as the Powers That Be, he is beyond everything else they have ever fought.

Considering what happened to the Slayer line at the end of the series, I saw nothing wrong with S7 focusing heavily on the Potentials. Their presence played an important part in Buffy's life in her developing role as an authority figure and in her role as the Slayer. In fact, it seemed right that the Potentials should figure more heavily than the Scoobies around this period in Buffy's life.

I agree with the Lady. Personally my problem wasn't that there was too much Potential stuff, but not enough.

Remember that episode Potential, about Dawn as a potential Potential? I liked it well enough, but I would have prefered them to use that space to give us more info on who Molly, VI, Rona, and Kennedy were, how they got there, and what made them tick. At that point in the series, something like that seemed to be required.

That's one of my main bitches about Rebeca Kirshner as a writer. She writes some fun stuff, but sometimes I get the feeling she's writing her own series. She tends to want to go off in her own direction. Amanda was cool, but she was one Potential too many.
 
I agree. I never liked the potentials, and I've always thought it was a bad thing bringing in so many new characters that we didn't really get to know. If they had let us get to know them a bit more it would probably have been better. They didn't seem like real characters to me, their stories weren't interesting and I just wanted to see the "real" characters instead. But if there had been like two really important potentials that we had got to know a lot, I might have liked them better..
 
Ok..I'm going to pose an interesting question... ::waits for all the gasps to stop::

What if it wasn't really necessary to get to know the potentials better? What if it was done on purpose in that their pasts were a mystery and thus they could represent any girl and all girls from anywhere in the world? Kind of like a season long message that any girl could be a slayer which culminated in the scene of other girls all over the world becoming slayers in chosen.
