I'm a 31-although personally, I believe I'm much worse. Yes, I tend to get annoying comments for my nerdiness, but I like it 🙂 It keeps things interesting!

Heh... I actually met a group of fellow nerds through the Internet. We meet up every few weeks as the Nerd Nation. if there's nerdier than that, I'd like to hear it. Nothing quite like a chat about Alan Moore comics over vodka...

There was a similar thread in the games forum a while back in a similar vein which tested the nerd/geek quotient - I remember that I came out as of the nerd/geek persuasion🙂 I'm never entirely sure whether there is a difference between nerd and geek - anyone care to elaborate?

18.....schweet. Not that there's anything wrong with being a nerd. I can now show this test to all my friends as proof that I am indeed not a nerd. Of course I did just take an online test...... that was posted on a Buffy board....... after having replied in a topic about comics....hmmmm

You can try to hide it, but fellow Nerds recognise you, just as Norms are subconsciously distressed by your presence. Face up to who you are. Claim an identity soon, or be trapped in limbo forever.

As always I became a half-breed. That seems to be my place in this world, I can never fully embrace anything.
But before taking this splendid nerd-factor test I've always seen myself as a nerd until a year ago or something like that. Now I know that I'm not a nerd (even though I share many characters traits of one), I am a member of an Oddball gang. After seeing the teriffic movie Ed Wood (you must see!), I've understood that being a simple nerd wasn't enough for me. I wanted my own Oddballgang. Luckily I idn't have to look for one, I was already an member of one, I just hadn't noticed yet.
Whereas nerdiness often is associated with computers, fantasy, videogames, books and stuff like that, being an oddball is so much more. It's about a kind of general not belonging. You are odd and you embrace it, you become a member of an oddball gang. It's like mixing the bohemian lifestyle with the nerd-factor (I'm a firm believer that there is such a thing as a nerd-factor. Like a specific gene. Like the x-factor without the cool superpower thing).
To all of you out there stuck in Limbo I suggest you find your own Oddball gang and make with the fun.
