I know it's awful and selfish....but a tiny part of me wanted Angel to turn Buffy into a vampire in season two.
I know, I know, vampires are evil, she's the slayer, etc. And the series would have little room to progress.
But Bangel is such an amazing pairing that I wish it could have been more drawn out.

Like I said, it's only a tiny part of me that wishes that.
The rest of me says doing that would be too much like Twilight and it would suck. XD

Any thoughts?
 
Sorry, didn't think that. 🙂 But then again, I'm no Bangel. 🙂 But I can understand why you would think that, of coarse you want them to be together.

But if it would be Angel who did it and Buffy would just be another vampire without a soul, it seems to make things harder for them. If you mean Angelus on the other hand, ok, it would be a little fun to see Buffy bad, but not in the long run.

Yeah that would have been fun in a little mini-arc for sure... problem there is that they'd have to re-ensoul both Angelus and VampBuffy for the series to have continued beyond like half of season 3 (that's the longest I'd see that arc run)
I've always thought it would have been fun to see a mini-arc of VampBuffy and Angelus evil together terrorising Sunnydale while the scoobies fought them. I'm sure this was talked about once before on here. I think darkavenger may have bought it up? I should try and find it...
 
I don't think that Buffy becoming a vampire would have worked on a permanent basis, meaning, obviously, for the entire rest of the series, and if she could have been magically returned to her human state after a several week arc, there would be fans who would be saying, "Well, if they could restore Buffy's humanity, why couldn't they do the same thing with (Spike or Angel, take your pick) so they could finally be happy together?" On the other hand...

One of Willow's famous spells gone wrong, or maybe a spell perpetrated by Angelus that DID work out as intended, could have caused Buffy to become taken over by some vampire's spirit (Darla's, for example) and team up with Angelus. That way, the spell could have been revoked at the end of the arc. That might have worked out interestingly, with the spell reversal actually being part of the final battle sequence instead of Angel being restored. Bangels would have hated it, but it could have worked that way. Then when Angel came back next season, soul restored, there could have been an entire other arc about the whys and wherefores of that.

(Hey, you all know quite well by mow how hard it is for me just to give a simple "yes," or "no," answer to any question)
 
That was discussed a while back. Vamp Angel and Buffy.. It would be hot, image of it is really hot, but in a long run.. no I wouldn't like to see that. Maybe for a episode, something like "The Wish", but I don't think that would be good. I think it's good like this..
 
VampBuffy and Angelus would be boring. Human Buffy and Angelus would be hot. Actually Angelus was better suited towards Buffys personality than Angel (which is why Buffy gravitated towards Faith)

I'm with PrincessBuffy, I would have liked to see that for maybe an episode but it wouldn't have worked in the long run (though fanfics on the topic can be rather enjoyable 🙂)

I guess I just tend to be a hopeless romantic for them. XD
I dunno why I ship them....Buffy and Angel don't really match up personality wise.
I agree with all you, though, Buffy/Angelus would be AWESOME.
Also, has anyone else noticed Angel is a little too, well, emo after he leaves Buffy? It's for that reason I had issues getting into Angel as a show.

Well, in the early parts of their relationship, nah, but you're right, I had totally forgotten until just now about how he was when he came back from hell....very whiny indeed.
 
I've thought about it before, but never like seriously wanted her to become a vampire. Ever since she was a vampire for a few minutes in "Nightmares" I've thought "Oooh, that would be interesting." And then of course I thought about it a lot here while back when someone brought it up on the board and I made a wallpaper with that premise. 😀
 
The first thing I thought of when I saw the suggestion for Vamp Buffy, was that it would make an awesome idea for an episode like a companion episode to go along with Doppelgangland/The Wish.
 
Oh no. If Angel did that, he must become one of selfish vampires. 😛 I know it would work if they want to be together. But I prefer Angel becoming human more than Buff becoming vampire.
 
omg, no way! Can´t imagine that! Urg, I don´t like Bangel and Vamp Buffy and Angelus would be unbearable u.u

I am the anti-Bangel but I wasn't in the beginning and I never wanted that. In Joss's world they lose their souls. I wouldn't want that for Buffy.
 
I agree with thevikingsgirl on the point that I wouldn't want Buffy to loose her soul too. However I have always been a bangel even though I know that they couldn't be together.

Yeah I think it would work for one episode. That would be really fun to see.
 
No, I wouldn't want that. Buffy has a special personality, she is a hero, the Slayer. I wouldn't want to see her as a vampire. Besides, I really like them as they are. The slayer in love with the vampire with a soul.

wouldn't have last long can't see the scoobies getting to far, maybe in season 6 when willow starts getting power as a witch.
