Am I The Only one who gets emotional at the end of "Becoming Part 2"?

Every single time I watch it I'm torn up and bawling. I'm watching my best friend who just killed the love of her life (up to that point) run away from her life. It breaks my heart.

I feel like I should get emotional but I don't.. I don't really feel anything at the end of that episode, it's just like "oh well"... there might be something wrong with me.

Oh believe me, you are not the only one.
I've re-watched the whole series over a lot of times, but Becoming - Part Two always gets me so sad. It's just one of those episodes...a lot of other episodes have really made me get teary-eyed, like The Gift for example.

Sometimes the music can really get you crying.
I blame the song 'Full of Grace'...

Becoming Part 2 is like number #1 on my favorite BTVS episodes of all time. I tear up everytime at the end. Seeing her so vulnerable and weak got to me. Being 16/17 and having to kill the person you felt was the love of your life, I can only imagine how heart breaking that must have been for her. I could see how she'd want to be alone, I mean not only was Angel her love he had a side to him that was his worst enemy one he friends saw last of him. So I can see how she didn't wanna face them, just wanted to run and forget everything.
This episode is beautiful and everytime that "Full Of Grace" starts playing I start balling, lol. I am a huge Bangel fanatic too so the scene of her killing him crushes me everytime.
Simply great episode!!!

lol I wish I had been the only one in the house last night because I was watching Becoming P1&2 again and I was openly sobbing if there was no one around I would have been wailing. It is all worth it though to have Angel back even if it is only for a few minutes. 😀

Oh, I always cry at the scene!
She just had to kill her lover to save the world, she was young, fired from her school, the person who could understand the most how hard it is to be a Slayer was dead, being a Slayer and having friends led to her best friend being in a coma, and on top of that, she fought with her mum who said (even tough I'm sure she didn't think it) "If you go out, don't even think about coming back".

Buffy had already endured a lot being the Slayer, but that was just too much to bare at that time, too much at once.
I always really feel for her, and the music doesn't help ==> I get teary every single time.
At the beginning it's quite okay, but when we see Joyce finding Buffy's room empty, my eyes get wet, and then, when we see Buffy looking at her friends and leaving, that's when I definitely lose it. SMG's acting is so good, just seeing her face (http://www.screencap-paradise.com/caps/displayimage.php?pid=21568&fullsize=1) makes me cry.

When Buffy leaves and that music is playing (I think it's called Full of Grace?) - it got me the first time and now the second time 😱. I just feel so sorry for her at this point because she must have felt so lonely, I know she was surrounded by friends all the time, but she was a 16/17 year old girl and I felt she was treated like a robot at times. So at the end when she was watching her friends head back in school and the music was playing....gets me everytime lol. Anyone else?

Definitely not the only one. I cried myself to sleep the night I watched it. Devastatingly beautiful.

I just watched the episode yesterday. Wow.

It's special to me because somewhere in the middle of Season 2 I realized that I wasn't just watching "some silly kid's show." I realized I was watching one of the all-time greats. And the Season 2 Finale did not disappoint.

SMG was brilliant. I really focused on her yesterday, and her sword work is incredible!! I bet she practiced for months. And then the payoff was so emotional because Joss's character development is perfect, and the actors are great. At the end Buffy knows her destiny, embraces it, and chooses the world and her duty to it. Buffy Summers, the 17 year old kid, is dead, while Buff the Vampire Slayer is alive. She may not like BtVS, but she knows and accepts her duty. And she will do that throughout the series. As I was watching it, I also embraced her destiny, and realized the "silly kid's show" was like no other I had ever watched.

Becoming Part 2 is one of the all-time great episodes.

Yes, I pretty much start crying when Angel returns and don't stop until the closing credits are done. Still, one of my favorite episodes of any TV show EVER.

I usually tear up when Buffy sends Angel to Hell. When she says "Close your eyes" I go "Uh, muh, uuueeeee."

It was a lot harder years ago when I wasn't anti-Bangel, I was actually a huge Bangel fan, but dammit, even today I think "how can someone not wanna cry by the end of that scene"? It was so hard to watch, specially before I watched season 3 and found out Angel didn't actually die as I thought, and he comes back. Then of course I had to fight back tears when he leaves in Graduation day, but that's another story.

Lovin' the banner.
I think it's very unusual that anybody could think that tearing up at the end of that episode is anything but normal. It's clearly a very, very emotional moment and was intended to elicit this response.

AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT FOUND BUFFY EPISODE 'THE BODY' A BIT LESS CHEERY THEN USUAL?

lol but The Body was absolutely amazing!
I always get choked up. I don't weep anymore, as I've seen the episode so many times. (Am I a liar or what?!) Okay, fine, I bawl like a little girl. It's just so sad! Look at all she's given up.

I love how she becomes Anne. I said something similar in a thread in Close Your Eyes, but when Buffy leaves, clearly she can't come to terms with what Buffy has done. She can't be around her friends, family, even her town, so she becomes Anne and adopts this whole new life. Maybe not a grand, wonderful thing, but it's a new life nonetheless.

This episode along with "I Will Remember You", are probably the only episodes I get really emotional of the Bangel story. It really gets to me. Because it was so well made. Because of this episode, and especially the ending, I became really obssesed with the show.
