Oh, darn, I missed this! Would like to have seen it. One of my gay friends waxed philosophical about how she felt about being gay once and she said (in response to her family's reaction to learning that she's gay - her brother was less than supportive), "Yeah, I *chose* to be ridiculed and made to feel like less than a person because of my sexual orientation!" It was her contention that she was born that way, it wasn't something she actively chose to be, that's just how she is. I felt so sorry for her, NOBODY should EVER be made to feel that way because of who they are, their religion, their sexual orientation, their skin color, or whatever. There is absolutely no excuse.
