Amber on Totally Gay

Amber Benson was on VH1's "Totally Gay." It was a show, an hour long, about how much gay people have come into the media since 1990. I guess she was there because of her role as Tara because her credit was "Amber Benson, Buffy The Vampire Slayer." She was just a commentor. They showed her a few times though.

I am glad she supports the gay community, it shows that she takes her roles and makes something of them. She is awsome.

I saw that too....they went from the cliched homosexual image to the positive regular perspective......
Amber IS a very passionate person, she supports any minority that is being riddiculed, she is an amazing person.....BUT i suspect most of the cast are the same.

Oh, darn, I missed this! Would like to have seen it. One of my gay friends waxed philosophical about how she felt about being gay once and she said (in response to her family's reaction to learning that she's gay - her brother was less than supportive), "Yeah, I *chose* to be ridiculed and made to feel like less than a person because of my sexual orientation!" It was her contention that she was born that way, it wasn't something she actively chose to be, that's just how she is. I felt so sorry for her, NOBODY should EVER be made to feel that way because of who they are, their religion, their sexual orientation, their skin color, or whatever. There is absolutely no excuse.

I actually saw it a few weeks back. It was sorta funny the way the show was structured. It really felt like one of those books children gets to learn words like "This is a cat. The cats says meow."

Still it was sorta amusing to watch. Made me smirk.

And I'm sure some people do, but for her, it wasn't like that.....she didn't choose it, it chose her. People get on my nerves, tho......like someone is bad or deserving of less than our utmost respect because they're different. That's just wrong, imo.
