I tried. I cannot pretend there is no Buffy.

I ADORE Angel and Cordy. I think that Cordy counter balances Angel's broodiness and he needs that. She's caring without being intense. With Buffy, everything was always high emotion. Cordy can tell Angel off and move on. I think I admire that about her. The thing that I've learned about Cordy is that she is (and always has been) sincere and basically a good person, but she's also very flippent at times. People who brood like Angel (and Buffy) need flippent people that don't let them take themselves too serious. So, yeah, big Angel/Cordy fan. Bigger than almost any other couple.

I never understood why people say Angel and Buffy are soulmates or meant to be. I just never saw it.

LOL, ok, well, I have to say that with that whole Angel was thinking of Buffy thing when he was sleeping with Cordy...that is such an insanely far reach that I think we just hit delusional territory. It was something that HIS mind was feeding him. If it were supposed to be Buffy it would have been in his mind...lol. You Bangles have my complete respect but lets be real here. Angel, having nothing to do with Buffy, loved Cordy truely and completely at one point. It's obvious that he'll always love the Buffster but lets not sell other characters short here. Lets not sell Angel short saying that he isn't capable of seeing the beauty in others and loving so well. It's ok that he loved her. It doesn't mean that he loved her more than Buffy.

Wow...maybe I should start a support group...lol 😉 😛 It's ok though...you guys rock...

Did any of you guys read this post that I typed a few months ago? It was an interview with DB and he said that the reason why Angel said Buffy's name in "Awakening" was 'cause he lost his soul because of her. He felt that Cordy was Buffy or envisioned her to be and he loves Buffy so that's why he became Angelus. He thought he loved Cordy when all the while, he was thinking of Buffy and Having sex with Buffy made him feel happy, of course.
 
Hmm, i believe that the C/A vs B/A issue is the same as the B/S vs B/A issue.

Angel LOVES Cordy and Buffy LOVES Spike but they are still IN LOVE with each other.

That's the way i see it.
 
I don't understand why on earth they had to make Cordy and Angel a couple? They should have stayed friends and that's it!

To me they are like brother and sister, major ick factor when they tried to get together plus to much sappyness angst there for me.
 
Angel and Cordelia were completely unbelievable following his previous relationship with Buffy. Going from friends to lovers is believable, but shoving it down our throats that Cordelia and Angel's 'love' is this soul-mate thing is so untrue. While he's on BtVS he ignores/avoids her at all possible causes and then on Angel, she's all of a sudden supposed to be the love of his life. Yeah right. The writers saw it which is why they nixed that ship. I love Angel and Cordy respectively, but no way as a couple.

DB:I think we've established that his one true love is Buffy, obviously. So, when that occurred, it was a testament to his feelings. It's not the sex that makes him happy; it's the feeling. He can have sex, but he can't be truly happy.

Before Season 4, I liked them together, though they never really were.
 
And something that just really got to me about them being togehter that eventually it probably wouldve ended up the same with as B/A with them having to brake up because of the curse, I dont see how Angel couldve had a relation ship with Cordy and not go through the same thing as he went through with Buffy.
