That's because it was never anything more than gossip spread by the WB to take the heat off them for cancelling one of the most popular shows on their network.

Joss says it was never anything more than a rumour, and David says he wouldn't do it even if the WB actually wanted to (which in my opinion they don't)
 
I seriously doubt this. As much as I wish it were true...there's just so many reasons why it just is not reasonable for NBC to pick it up. They don't have shows like Angel...they just don't....Big broadcasting company...lots of viewers...taking on a show that will probably only have two more years and only 4 million viewers. It's just very unlikely. I wish it were true, but it just doesn't seem possible. And it's kind of late to be picked up...it would be very difficult to get the cast back together and start filming...


I hate being a pessimist...
 
Ok see NBC lost a lot of drama/comedy shows this year and they have basically nothing, why not pick up angel? This could be very very true!
 
Crossing Jordan is a weird serious show,
so why not this?

I only hope that this gets grabbed by non cable tv
so that they get more viewer's.

From another post about the ratings it was mentionned that The WB and UPN have less viewers since they are smaller channel. I don't get it with basic cable. However, networks like NBC (that I hate) have more viewers then that. But this was a hoax. It would of been good for NBC to bring this cult to their network but NBC hardly does anything for the fans.

We could always wish for a reduced sixth season on DVD or the conclusion of the final episode on DVD would suit me fine also.

i really hope angel comes back, now the only programs i like that are on are tru callin and charmed n charmeds finishing soon, wot am i going to do. if they dont bring angel back they should ahev another spin off with faith or willow or a completely new slayer.
