Angel? Still as Good as When We Saw Him in Series 1 of BtVS?

I see. As FahrbotDrusilla already mentions there was a lot going on and he had always be afraid that something might happen to his son. But I admit that there were moments where Angels love for Connor shined so bright, for example when he talks to Wes about how beautiful love can be or when he says to Gunn how he wants to see Connor grow up, that I thought there might have been moments where he was overwhelmed with happiness.

I always found it quite beautiful that Angel was allowed to finally love somebody and could expect to be loved in return without the repercussions of the curse. The sympathetic part in me liked the thought that the love for a child was an exception for Angel.

Angel is definitely still good! In fact, I like him better now than I did in the beginning.

I liked Angel in BTVS a lot....he was so mysterious and tortured (and the fact he spent a lot of time shirtless helped...hahaha). I liked the portrayal of Angelus much better in BTVS than in ATS.

I do think that ATS allowed his character to be expanded on a lot more though and we saw a side of Angel that we hadn't seen before and got to know him a lot better.

I don't think I can pick between the two. He was different in each series but equally good in both in my opinion.

I hated Angel at first.

Then THAT happened halfway through Buffy: Season Two...

And ever since then, I suddenly loved the character. Even on Buffy: Season Three, where he does nothing but brood (which is what I hated originally), somehow I still thought he was one of the coolest characters. Every moment Angel appeared was a "Yay!" moment since then.

When he got his own show and they made him more jokey and stuff, I liked him even more. Even when I re-watched pre-Innocence episodes, I enjoyed seeing Angel - because it didn't matter if he wasn't do anything interesting, because I knew how interesting he can be anyway.

No, he isn't...HE'S BETTER!! I think that his character just got better and better throughout Buffy and Angel, and I loved him from the beginning.

He is so much better than when he started the show in BTVS. angel grew as a character since he had his own show. just like cordy.. it was pretty cool to watch their evolution. They were very very much funnier than in buffy...

I was looking on this thread and it seems that no new threads about Angel/ David Boreanaz have been posted in the past few months/ weeks.

So, my question is... Is angel still as great and adorable as when we first saw him in Series 1 of BtVS?

My opinion is YES, YES, YES!

What does everyone else feel?

Never reallly thought of him as adorable, but I loved him as much in The Harvest as in the final ep of S5.

well i did not really like angel in season 1 of buffy cos his personality did not come out really to angel season 1 i think. I think he look really hot in season 1 of buffy and up to season 3 of angel. But now days i think he looks have gone a bit. I like wes more now!
