Angel vs. Buffy.....who's the better fighter?

In your honest opinion, who do you think is the better fighter? I vote for Angel.......because I've seen every single episode of Buffy and Angel twice, and Angel is MUCH faster, smarter, better with technique, trickier, and determinded. And when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, I know a thing or two about it, considering I've been in Martial Arts for at least 5 years. Angel is hands down the better fighter. Of course, if him and Buffy fight, Buffy would probably win because Angel is just WHIPPED by her :whip: :hihi: ........However, if Buffy and Angel never knew each other, and it was a fight to the death.....Angel would easily lay the smack down on her.
 
Tough Question. You can look back to Becoming Part 2 and see that Angelus had the upper hand until Buffy pulled that crazy sword trick. Then Buffy had him all but killed, so maybe Buffy is a better fighter. It's a tricky question that is hard to answer....so if I have to choose I guess I will say Buffy by a nose.

True.....however.....notice how much better Angel was fighting in his own series......and besides.....I meant Angel and only Angel, not Angelus....Angelus is far too insane and sick to be as steady a fighter as Angel.
 
hmm I'd say neither here's why: BUFFY is a slayer so she has more strength than Angel. ANGEL has more skills than Buffy. As we saw in lots of episodes (mostly S2) they are evenly matched.


Spike would be able to kick bother their ass' if he had a reason (he fights well when he feels he has to), but seriously besides death matches (Destiny) and trying to convince people to love him (smashed), I can’t see why he would right now. (is it sad I can totally see Buffy coming back to LA to kick Angel's ass for his sins bahaha!)
 
It depends on what you think of a good fighter. Angel probably knows more techniques than Buffy does but I think she could kick his butt in battle,and she could deffinatly kick Spikes butt. Buffy has always been the type to she fights good when she has to but when you get her pissed off, she fights great.

You have to remember, Angel and Buffy never fought. Angelus and Buffy did. Angelus fights different than Angel. Angel is more cautious, fast, smart, determinded, and sane.

Try and remember early in Season 2, Spike came within' inches of killing Buffy, until Joyce slammed him on the back of the head with an ax. Later on, he wasn't lusting on killing her like he did the past slayers because......well, he was falling in-love with her near the end of season 2 and didn't admit to it until Season 5.
 
And in Season1 The Master killed her? Point? Thats Buffy all the way back in Season2, if we are talking early season2 Buffy he may stand a chance but Buffy has become a much better fighter since then, just look at how she fights Faith in Graduation, and even when it was SPike vs. Buffy pre chip, Spike was winning at first but then he pissed her off and she started kicking his demonic butt. Buffy nowadays isnt that easy to kill like she was in Season1-early2.

If Buffy can survive a fight with Glory, she can survive a fight from Spike or Angel.

Ok so how can I choose between buffy and angel? That is too hard. So I went with Spike, that is not to say I dont think Spike doesnt have a chance, he is a bad arse himself...
 
I love the fact that people think Angel is stronger than Buffy. Anyone remember that little scene in Sanctuary where he even admitted that she was stronger than him? Sorry but I get protective over my girl.

And what about Spike? Remember how he had trouble picking up the hammer in Season Five but Buffy was able to carry it around for a good amount of time and never even sweated it.

Strength isn't the biggest advantage, Angel is much more skilled than Buffy could ever dream of. Buffy is slow and careless when compared to Angel. Anyone that has watched both shows, every episode, can clearly see that Angel (not Angelus) has 10x the skills when compared to the stronger Buffy.
 
ANd yet Buffy can still take Angel. Buffy is far from slow, did you see the Buffy vs. Faith fight scenes, she is quick.
 
When Angel is all happy (but not too happy) I think he might be the best fighter, whereas Buffy is almost one step better when she's not all sunshines and puppies.

She needs to be a bit down to be an extraordinary fighter whereas Angel need to be in a nice place spiritualy to do his best in a fight. But between depressed Buffy and happy Angel I would say the winner is still Buffy.
