Angel's Greatest Moment?

The "Spikes Greatest Moment?" thread obviously inspired this one...
What do you think is Angel's greatest moment?

For me, it's when we find out he played Faith in "Enemies". When Faith says "I'm the world's greatest actor" and Angel says "Second best" in that flat tone? Every single time it gives me goosebumps!

I remember this last one, that was a powerful moment
No wait..."you actually sleep with this guy?" that was too funny. Also when he killed Darla that time. How he kicked Spikes ass as a puppet though? Lol and everytime he popped up in the middle of a fight.

He has some pretty awesome lines when his character develops and his humor is allowed to emerge, but I think his best moment is in "I will remember you".

He gets it. He gets everything he ever wanted. He gets Buffy, and because he has to, he gives her up, in quite possibly the most self-sacrificing way of all time. He has to remember what he could have had, what he should have had, and he has to deal with it, with only Cordy to really confide in. And he knows that's what he's facing when me goes back to the Oracles. That's pretty damn impressive to me.

Also, in S1, when he refuses to kill Faith in that alley. After everything she's done to him, to Buffy, to Wesley and Cordy, he has more reason than just about anyone to kill her. And he doesn't. He goes out of his way to help her.

Also, every Angel-Spike interaction in S5 was gold.

I think all of the best ones were mentioned already...

-REALLY love his deadpan "I'm a funny guy."

-The moment when he "wakes up" after Willow's spell has affected him in Becoming 2, and he says, "Buffy?" Ugh, ugh.

-There's this second in Grad Day 2 during the showdown between the Mayor's vamps and the rag-tag assortment of the Sunnydale defense team, right before Angel is about to start pummeling the enemy. Everything seems to stop for a second, and the screen pans upward, focusing on him. He kind of gets the same sort of "game face" that a human being would have, and you just know that they're going to win--and then attacks. Do you guys know what I'm talking about?

-Pretty much all of his interactions with Connor as a baby.

My favourite funny Angel moment is definately in Smile Time when he says ''I've got a lot of demon in me'' and vamps out of his puppet self. I could see something like that occuring, but the way it was delivered was brilliant.

There are so many ''awesome ones'': him catching faith's arrow in Five By Five, his face in Grad Day part 2, his beautiful conversation with Kate in Epiphany. I'm struggling to pick one... so I'm going with how he defeats Marcus Hamilton in Not Fade Away. Hamilton is, in my opinion, the strongest villian in buffyverse history. He beat Illyria in Power Play, and if he ever confronted the BTVS fighters, such as Glory or Caleb, he would, eventually, be able to defeat them. He was indestructable, wonderfully evil (his lack of emotion when Gunn is having his heart ripped out for weeks, is so lawyer like evil)

Angel defeats him by being a vampire, the fight is awesome, epic, (it also has Connor's best moment). It's like ''yeah, I know you can kill me, but don't think it's going to be easy''. He drinks from Hamilton, absorbs his power. Brilliantly done.
 
You know what's a great Angel moment? In "Enemies", when he and Buffy are trying to discern how far gone Faith is, and he he acts out the plan that he lost his soul to Faith. You're totally convinced he's gone and that Angelus has returned, and when Faith goes "what can I say B? I'm the world's best actor" and then you just hear Angel, off screen, go "second best", that was beyond awesome. That was so killer.

Man, so many great Angel moments. I loved his interaction with The Mayor towards the end of S3. "You're not my elder. I've got a lot of years on you", and "What can I say? I like em' sane".

My favorites have already been mentioned so I wont repeat those (glorious) moments...but here are a couple others:

Angel completing the trials in an attempt to save Darla.

Angel holding Mr. Gordo.
 
Angelus: Passion. The entirety. We really saw what Angelus was best at... torture.. in every way possible.
Angel: AtF, realizing he's a human. He turned human, fulfilled his prophecy, and what does he do? Continue fighting bad guys. It takes quite the badass to do that.

My favourite kinda Angel, is the goofy adorkable kind:

"Stop calling me pastries!"

"You think I'm fat?"

"And really when you think about it, why do I have to wear the ladies helmet?!"

"Woman, Man....pire"

"Did you just call me a tit?!"

"Yeah, but I made her do it. I signaled her with my eyes."

"I do not have puppet cancer!"

.....and so on 😉

I quite enjoyed Angel's first meeting with Buffy. Yeah, his acting was a little off, but who wouldn't enjoy an encounter with a tall, dark and handsome mystery man? (If that's your thing ; ))
He has so many awesome moments as have already been mentioned and I definately enjoy his humour and how being on his own show brought out that side in him more. I really like the romanticised image of him on Buffy but also enjoy seeing/hearing Angelus.
Basically, David is awesome and so is Angel.
 
For me, Angel's greatest moment, and the way that I've always thought of him after seeing it was in "The Girl In Question, when he came out of the dressing room wearing that god awful "all the latest fashion" coat. The look of humiliation, mixed with not a small amount of disgust was classic. David played that scene perfectly.

I also loved his fight with Hamilton, probably the greatest slug out that he ever had with anybody on either series.
 
Angel's almost greatest moment would have to be in "Amends". He was this close to killing himself. Damn! 😛

Okay, I might not be the biggest fan of his, but I don't actively dislike him like I used to, so big points there. Honestly, his greatest moment probably was in season one, "I Will Remember You". We all know what happened at the end. That took a lot of strength, especially considering what he could have had with Buffy. But he sacrificed his happiness for her. That's deep.
