My brother has been downloading the season 2 Buffy The Vampire Slayer. But after re-watching the whole Buffy series, I just can't help but wonder what would have happened if Angelus (not Angel) was the one who is captured by the Initiative and they put a chip in his head instead of Spike's. Would it have made any difference? Such as, if for example, if Angelus was the one with the chip in his head, and not Spike, then could we the audience imagine what would have happened that night (in season 6) if buffy was roughhousing with angelus (not spike) and ends up having sex with angelus (and not spike)? All we the audience have to do to imagine such a scenario is to replace Spike with Angelus in the BTVS season 6 episode 'Smashed'.
Yes I do know that Angel has got his own show during the Initiative. But that's not my point. And I know that Buffy has already had sex with Angel during season 2. But again that's not my point. Buffy having sex with angel is different, and having sex with Angelus would be a WHOLE LOT different. For one thing, Angelus is evil, diabolical, and he doesn't have a soul (pretty much what Spike was to Buffy when she started having sex with him)
Imagine for a second if Angel had not moved to L.A. and he did not have his own show. Imagine if he had stayed back in Sunnydale. And for some reason he ends up loosing his soul and reverting back to Angelus. And this time for some reason they can't restore his soul back. Imagine if he was the one with the chip in his head and not Spike. Would it have made a difference to the ending of Season Six episode 'Smashed'?
Plus I'am a bigger fan of David's acting as Angelus rather than Angel. He seems more hotter and funnier when he is acting as Angelus. So as an audience myself, I always wondered what the ending of Season six episode 'Smashed' would have been like if Angelus had replaced Spike, and Angelus was the one roughhousing Buffy and having sex with her and not Spike.
