Angelus vs Kendra

Seems to me that Angelus is stronger than her. Eventhough, I have my doubts. Since, it is not clear whether she is stronger than Buffy or not. And Buffy was an equal match for Angelus. Faith had to have struggled a lot against Angelus, and she wasn't an equal match for Buffy.
 
Yeah, i'd have to agree that Kendra is bound to be physically stronger than Angelus. A slayer is stronger than a vampire, regardless of which specific individuals you are discussing.

Watch Fool For Love and listen to what Spike tells Buffy if you want a detailed answer to that question but the simple answer is that it isn't why he won but why the slayer lost that makes the difference.

Spike killed two slayers because he fought better on those days and wanted to win more than they did. Absolutely nothing to do with which of the two were physically stronger. Sometimes strength is not the deciding factor.
 
Its not all strenght, like the watcher said. its who fights better on that particular day. Spike was just fighting better on those days. every slayer has off days. you saw buffy get stabbed by a random, regular vampire in season 5 cos she was having an off day. even though she was clearly stronger.
 
The slayer has "must kill this vampire for the sake of the world" on her mind whereas a vamp has "im hungry" and "this is fun" in his head. hence sometimes vampires come out on top. They dont take the fight as seriously as the slayer. (except for the fact that they might die, but you know what i mean) Spike was fighting the slayer for fun. he didnt have the fate of the world making sure he killed her.

i know what i meant to say there but it came out all wrong. i hate when i get interrupted 🙁
 
Definitely Angel would've won in this fight. Even though Kendra did not have extra worries to cloud her fighting (such as friends and family) she was not experienced enough. She was not a Slayer with a lot of heart, cunning and drive. I don't think she would've lasted very long.

Dru's not weak. The way she casually walked in there and slit Kendra's throat is what made me start loving her. I don't know why people think Dru's a pushover. She could do the same thing to most people, except perhaps Buffy because she's the lead.
 
I never said Dru was weak. I just said that Kendra put up a big fight with Angel and Buffy but Drusilla just put her in some trance and that was the end of it. I think that the way Kendra was killed was corny. They should have done it some better way. I have no problem with Dru being the one who killed her but the writers should have done it in a more realistic way. We never even saw any more of that "special power" Dru had after she killed Kendra.

Angel and Angelus are two different people.. kinda... I think Kendra would have been able to beat Angel back in season 2 of Buffy but if she tried again in oh..say... season 4 of Angel, she most likely would have lost.

Angelus is a different story all together, he has been a cold-blooded killer for centuries. Not to mention the only reason the battle with Buffy ended so quickly was because Buffy had a driving force of resolve when she went after Angelus. Kendra wouldn't have that.

You can't fault Kendra for that though, what was she supposed to do? Break the spell somehow, while in a trance? My memory of Buffy and the master isn't clear, but did he put her in a trance at one point and i don't think she broke it... As for us not seeing this power from Dru again, well we did see her use hypnotism again, but she wasn't too concerned with killing slayers but that doesn't mean she wasn't capable. It also might not work on vampires and/or other demons.
 
Oh yeah, and why doesn't Cordy just use the glowy thing all the time and kick everyone's ass?

Why didn't Willow and Tara send all the baddies they encountered thru a portal?

Why didn't Glory just punch a whole thru everyone and just take the key?

I mean hell why didnt Willow/Buffy/Giles/Xander just combine for every demon?

You keep misunderstanding my posts. I meant that the writers should have given her more of a chance.
 
In regaurds to Drusilla killing Kendra. I think the only reason she won was because she was able to hypnotize her. Kendra did beat Angel in Part 1, but he also wasn't really expecting it either. Angelus also kicked Faith's butt, and I think she is a better fighter than Kendra. Faith, in my opinion, has more power than technique and all that. So, I think Angelus could take Kendra.
 
Faith let Angelus get the best of her so she could have gotten bitten I thought to get the drugs into him .
 
She got beaten up first in that run down factory place by the beast, it wasn't Angelus. I think that she was trying to beat Angelus the second time, but when she couldn't, she let him bite her because of the Orpheus.
So yeah, you are right.
 
Angelus would totally beat kendra butt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
