Sometimes customer service can really be a horrible job. Some lady just made me cry and question myself and my job and whether I even want to do it anymore. I wish I wasn't so sensitive to people yelling at me. I felt like Britney Spears in that HIMYM episode. Just a stupid blonde being made to cry on the phone 🙁
Why do people feel the need to yell at people when it's clear that they're doing their best to help? And when I say 'I can't help you out any further, you're clearly upset, and I would rather my manager took over this' why keep yelling at me? I've explained that I'm still in training and that we're incredibly understaffed and it's only myself and a temp.
It's just so horrible. I'm questioning whether I even want to deal with the general public. It's just so difficult to motivate myself for the rest of the day after something like that.
All I want to do is go home and cry.

I totally know how you feel. I get that crap all the time at Blockbuster. *hugs*

I had a few of those calls when I worked for an insurance company. You can get better at dealing with it up to a point, but if you're still in training I'd be honest about needing a bit of extra support with that side of the job.
Doppelgang
you have to learn to spot who your enemies are quickly before they can hurt you, and then just close yourself off to them, that way you can stay open to people who are friendly
Buffy Summers
I know how that is, but just remember there will come that one person who is so kind they make you forget all the jerks out there. :)
Angelic Slayer
can totally relate to those kind of experiences, try to keep your chin up!*hugs*
