I voted yes..Mainly coz I hate him..It was really brave of her and all..But she at least was important to someone while he was just a geek...

Ugh! Did you not read what I said!?
If it wasnt for Andrew, she would still be alive...thats what I think anyway.
If he wasnt so wippy, and stupid, and everything else, he could've helped her fight...
Maybe she would've died if he'd helped her, sure, but in the 'Chosen' scenario, it angered me because he didnt even try...

Lee,I read what you said,but I didn't start the thread only for you babe😉,I want everyone's opinion😀

Lol...I didnt mean it like that...
Ugh...everythings just...bad today...lol...

I dont think it was his fault....I mean She was brave in the end she didn't have to be there if she didn't want to but she chose to stay and fight it wasn't anyone but the Bringer that killed her fault....

Ok...slightly changed my mind now...
It wasnt his fault I guess...Im just more angry, because he didnt really help, the worst thing was that, as I said, he didnt try,
''I have swimmers ear''
Yeah, you tell them that Andrew, Im sure they'll leave you alone if tell them that 😉

Yes..but I'm good at blaming.I can blame Andrew,The First and his minions and a few people more...

from the start, out of the trio if i had to pick, andrew was my fave. altho i hated him really at first, the little **** grew on me ::mmm:: i voted no, even if it was his fault, not much the wimp could of done to save her ::grrr2::

She sacrificed herself. If anyone is to blame, it would be the First and his minions.

Either that or Buffy for putting Anya in an untenable and almost certainly unsurvivable situation. Buffy wanted to concentrate the Potential Slayers in the Hell Mouth. I've said before that I think that was a mistake.

Andrew didn't cause Anya's death. He wasn't able to protect himself much less her. Buffy was the one who paired Anya with Andrew and didn't place any potential slayers guarding the exits where her friends were fighting. She didn't know what the pendant would do and had no idea that Spike would save the world. If Spike's pendant hadn't worked I think that it is highly likely that Giles, Robin, and Andrew would have died as well as Anya.

Buffy made a mistake, but then she can't be blamed for being a lousy tactician since no one ever taught her about sound tactics for more than one person in a fight. So, I've got to say I definitely blame the First, I kind of blame Buffy and I kind of blame Giles for Anya's death. I certainly don't blame Andrew.

I want to discuss tactics with HitToMe for a bit.

As I understand it the priority in the way the groups were arranged, was keeping the Ubervamps below ground, and failing that, keeping them from getting underground access to Sunnydale.

WOOD
Okay, civilians. The vampires get
upstairs we have three areas they
could get through to another building
and down into the sewers.

Giles organized the teams of two thing, putting the most powerful closest to the seal.

GILES
Teams of two then, and I suggest you
and I take the lounge.

Buffy put Xander with Dawn, not as a battle tactic but more to protect Dawn.

BUFFY
Xander, I want you with Dawn.

She knew Xander would die protecting Dawn. If they had done it most powerul to least powerful from the seal to the hall, Anya would have been with Xander or Dawn. Either way, Anya would have had a better chance.

So I disagree with you when you say Buffy is a bad battle tactician, but I agree when you say, if Anya's death is anyone's fault as a result of faulty strategy it's probably Buffy's.

Thats interesting.
How come you blame Giles?

I don't blame Andrew for Anya's death. As most of you have said it was her choice, she didn't even have to be there if she didn't want to. I think what she did was very heroic.

I blame whoever was pairing people up to postition them. Why was there not even one potential there?

Because all the potentials were in the basement, which is really stupid, because they didnt need that many potentials down there.
If I was the stratagist, this is how I would've done it:

Giles, Anya and Vi
Wood, Andrew and Amanda
Xander, Dawn, and another potential (Face it, Rona and Chao-Ahn was needed down there!)
