Anyone Wanna Talk Lost? (Possible Spoilers)

That was my idea too..I'm 99.999999% sure they will start re-running it from episode 1 over the summer. So I am thinking that may be the best time..start in fresh and new. But Jacks is so convincing too!!! 😀

The Lost Season 1 DVD is supposed to come out Sept. 6. You can snap it up for 60 bucks. I'm with Jacklyn. You should watch the end of the season with us now, and catch up later. 😀

I just heard that there's going to be something like 5 weeks of reruns before we get to see new episodes...anyone else know anything about this?

OMG convienently one day before my Birthday! Although I have a feeling I may be too busy to watch DVDs for a while 😀

Really Cordelia? Mebbe I will catch up then! Is it supposed to be in the summer? Or do you mean right now....before ANY new eppys air?

Here you go, Cordelia:

LOST in Reruns; New Episodes Starting March 30
Yes, Lost is back in rerun mode until March 23, airing "Whatever the Case May Be" on March 16 and "Hearts and Minds" on March 23. Don't fret, though, because on March 30, episode 19 (which is NOT a rerun), "Deus Ex Machina," will air on ABC, followed by episode 20, "Do No Harm," on April 6.

There's an episode guide from TVTome on this thread somewhere if you want to check which eps are which.

There's going to be an upcoming episode designed to help people get caught up on Lost (There's one for Desperate Housewives too)-

ABC is designing the specials to serve as introductory guides to the serialized shows....
...The "Lost" hour, set to air April 27 in the show's normal timeslot, will be of particular interest to current fans of the show. That's because the special will take the bits and pieces of information the show has doled out about six main characters over the last six months -- and retell their stories in a linear fashion.
"You get to see how these characters are all interwoven and just how deep this show is," Benson said.
Special -- from Metropolitan/ Hodder Group -- will focus on the characters of Jack, Kate, Locke, Sawyer, Charlie and Sayid. "What we did was break it down to a core of characters that seem to cross back and forth between everyone's lives," Taylor said, adding that there'll also be a segment on the island itself.

Also apparently there have been other 6 degrees of separation moments in Lost. I got these from the message board at SaveWonderfalls.com -

* Jack is at the airport in the queue ahead of Jin in 106.

* Boone saw Sawyer getting dragged through an Australian police station

* Jack's dad inadvertently convinced Sawyer to kill a guy

* Hurley was on TV when Jin went to "deliver a message" to a factory owner

And doesn't Locke own the factory??? or something like that....

I heard in the April 6th eppie, Locke goes "missing"...

Yeah that one was posted above. Hurley owns a box factory. Locke worked in one.

Skipped over the thread because I don't want to be spoiled, but just wanted to give some moderatly good news for UK people.

Channel 4 have acquired the rights to "Lost" and do plan to promote it well. However it won't be here until August. Apparently it will be on Wednesdays, and the guess is it'll replace Desperate Housewive's 10pm slot. (Source: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds20193.html)

My rule of thumb is never to take anything that comes from a quote-unquote reliable source too serious, but this one sounds sweet if it's true -

BREAKING NEWS: I've just received some news from a reliable source. It looks like the producers of LOST are interested in bringing EMMA CAULFIELD on the island. Although nothing is set in stone yet, it's something J.J Abrams and the producers are pursuing. Lest we not forget that David Fury is one of those producers.

Emma on Lost would be fantastically awesome!

Alright, who saw it last night?

spoiler, spoiler......

I thought it was more greatness. Flashback to Locke and Swoosie Kurtz, his freaky "schizophrenic" mom. When she said he was immaculately conceived, that was a total freak factor for me. Just a con, but anyways...And his freaky dream about the plane, how to find it....yeesh.

It really made me feel like this is some weird combination of Stephen King and David Lynch. They could drag the mystery out for a decade and I'd still watch, I think.

Another thing, Locke struggling to get that hatch open on that "capsule" or whatever"”that, plus his mom's comment"”made me put Locke's struggle in religious terms. Locke's struggle to find the motives of the island, get inside the capsule, is like struggling to find out if God exists. Is there a point to life? To weird serendipitous things that happen in it?

The title of the episode was Deux ex Machina (God in the Machine), so the God thing makes sense. I don't think they mean the phrase to be taken in the sense it's usually offered in fiction.

I wonder how significant that mousetrap symbology is at the beginning. Are the castaways like mice in a trap, or pieces on a gameboard?

And poor Locke in his old life. No wonder he wants to stay on the island. Don't you get the feeling though, like the island is maybe going to do him even worse dirt than his dad did.

The guy just can't catch a break, and isn't it interesting that their strongest member on the island, was one of the real world's weaklings?

"the meek shall inherit the earth"? Or will Locke just get screwed?

Actually, what was most pitiable to me was that hairpiece.

Mousetrap was cool too. Loved that game as a kid. Is Locke dealing with God, the devil or something else altogether?

The season finale of ABC's hit SF series Lost has been expanded to two hours, from the originally planned 90 minutes, for creative reasons, Variety reported. The May 25 finale is also being scheduled directly opposite Fox's American Idol climax, the trade paper said.

Series creators J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof had planned for a 90-minute Lost wrap-up, but once the final script came in longer than expected, the decision was made to expand the finale to two hours, the trade paper reported. Alias will air its season finale at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Xander - Do you know if E4 are going to be airing it first or is it going right to C4?

LMAO-yeah, I hated the hair piece too. I got the feeling they were trying to make him look way younger than he could look.

On a seperate note, does anybody else get the feeling that the island doesn't want Locke to leave either?

Oh my God, Locke's piece looked almost as bad as some of those dead rodents they put on Patrick Stewart's head in Trek to make him look young...

It seems like the island wants to use Locke for its evil designs on the other survivors. Can't tell.

Ahhhh...TV Guide says the "Emma to Lost" rumour is false.

Question: There is a rumor going around that Buffy's Emma Caulfield may be appearing in an upcoming episode of ABC's Lost. Any truth to this? "” Nathan

Ausiello: No truth, although a somewhat-major name in the independent film world will be making a splashy cameo before the season ends.

So, what did everyone think of last night's episode? After the week before, it was really no surprise that
Boone
was the one who
died

Sooooo sad. Choked me right up. Especially
Shannon's
reaction, and I don't even like
Shannon
yet.

Jack is looking for Locke, and he's pissed. Can you even wait for next week. It's times like these that challenge the spoiler-free.

Looks like it's all coming together now. Here's hoping for a big reveal.

Gotta admit I had it figured out weeks ago, the character wasn't as developed as the others. I did cry though and at the joyous part of it with another character. Dom was such a cutie.
