Are there any Buffy or Angel episodes that bug you?

I don't mean ones you don't like, per say, but more episodes from either series that you don't care for because they're not really character consistent. Episodes that you feel don't really mesh with the rest of the series.

For me, "Inside Out" takes the crown. I can't think of any episodes that I really hated all the way through, but this might be one. It just drove me crazy. Jasmine was dumb to begin with, but basically throwing Skip away and re-writing just about all of the continuity they'd established with Cordy, Doyle and the rest during the first three seasons was stupid. To be honest, I don't even really count it. I just kind of say in my head that Skip was lying and that Jasmine was full of crap.
 
Ted. It's the only episode I deliberately skip on my rewatch. I just don't like it.
 
Any episode with Spuffy moments (I kidd, I kidd 😛 Put the stakes down)

"Where The Wild Things Are"- I did not, and I mean DID NOT, need to see Buffy and Riley having sex that bloody much!

"Beer Bad"-...did Joss have a brain fart on this one?

Really the only ones I can think of
 
There was that whole Cordelia isn't Cordelia thing in season 4 of AtS, which just irritates me no end. I can feel myself getting crabby just thinking about it. *grrrrrr*

Well "Slouching Towards Bethlehem" isn't necessarily a bad writing choice in my opinion, nor was it unnecessary, but I just can't watch it for some reason. Maybe it's because it's well done, and the intended depression really sinks in, but I think that honestly I don't need a whole episode Cordelia interacting with other characters in a way that depresses me to no end. I always skip it.
 
Apocalypse, Nowish. You know, it would've been a great episode. It really would have. But CORDY/CONNOR ewwwwwww. Doesn't matter that it's really Jasmine. Still super ew.
 
Buffy season 4 ep "where the wild things are." I cannot stand it!! I skip it everytime. It is one of the most pointless episodes ever. I've never understood it, and it bugs me even more that anya and xander go through so many evil branches to try and get to Riley and buffy and buffy just says "xander!! Don't you knock?!!" I know she didn't know what was going on but that bit just bugs me.

The only good thing about that episode is spike. When he gets strapped to the chair it makes me laugh everytime.
 
How about all of season 7? Where none of the core four acted in character? Or for examples let's take Lies My Parents Told Me and Empty Places.

Also Superstar. I hate that episode.

Regarding Where the Wild Things Are - I understand the criticism of it, but am always perplexed that the best part goes unmentioned: Giles singing! I'd watch the whole ep just for that. And Kathryn Joosten was outstanding.
 
For Buffy - I hate restless, I don't know why but I hate that episode and I skip it on rewatches

For Angel - Anything that had to do with Adult Connor and Jasmine I usually skip

Buffy:
1. Beer Bad (such a waste space in the season)
2. Where the Wild Things Are (like really?)
3. Some Assembly Required
 
Several episodes have always seemed just wrong for one reason or another. At the top of the list are:

"I Will Remember You" (Angel was far too quick, one might even say eager, to return to his superhuman status. As prone as he is to brooding and sulking, he should have taken longer making a decision of that magnitude. A 2 or even 3 episode arc would have worked better for something this important)

"As You Were" (just depends on far too many coincidences and inconsistencies, plus once more needs at least one more episode just to straighten out the mess that it created)

"The Girl In Question" (If Sarah couldn't be there to play Buffy, the whole story should have been scrapped in favor of more time being devoted to building up to the finale.

There are several other episodes that just plain don't fit either with the characters as they have been developed or leave too many inconsistencies for me personally, but those three are at the top of the list.

(Oh, except for the breakup scene at the end in which Buffy calls Spike "William" and acknowledges that using him has been wrong. Huge Spuffy but that scene is great and very important.)

Are there any episodes that annoy you?

I'm just curious are there any episodes that just annoy you for some reason? For me it's "I Robot, you Jane" simply because it dates the series so much. Not only do we get this gem: "It's ringing so she's not online." It literally dates the series with Jenny's "come join us in the 20th century, with three years to spare."
 
I actually like "I Robot, You Jane", as well as all of Season 1. I love the corny-ness of it.

"Where The Wild Things Are" and "Beer Bad"- Can't stand them. So far, those are the only ones.

Overall I love Season 1 it's the perfect medicine for the stresses of life. "Beer Bad" is just awful, though.
 
I love I Robot You Jane because it's the start of my OTP, Giles and Jenny.

I love Where the Wild Things Are because (1) Anthony singing *thud* and (2) Kathryn Joosten rocks. I get that it's a really awful episode, but those two things save it.

I hate Beer Bad.

I also detest Superstar.

But my all-time most hated episode is Storyteller. And I can't really explain why. I'm on my second rewatch right now (third overall) and I'll watch it; but in future rewatches I'll probably skip it.

Oh, and Empty Places and Lies My Parents Told Me are also annoying because of the guy they found to stand in for the real Giles.
 
The first one that jumps to mind for me is "Damage", from Angel S5. Actually, the entire episode is awesome is fantastic up until the last scene, which is my single least favorite in the entire series. Seriously, it makes zero sense and isn't consistent with anything that Buffy has done. In fact, I almost think that what happened wasn't Buffy, and that Andrew was just talking about Xander or Giles instead.

From Buffy, S7's "Empty Places" is a good episode, but at the same time is extremely frustrating. I've never hated Anya more than in that episode, and everyone but Buffy, Spike and Andrew just irk me. They follow it up very well in the next one as I recall, but the way Buffy is treated drives me nuts.

I tried to stay away from episodes that just aren't very good. "Beer Bad" is horrible, and "Triangle" in S5 is just kind of dumb. I leaned more towards episodes that tick me.

As for S1, I love it! Sure, it's kind of silly at times, but the fact that it's just SO 90's always makes me smile. I get all nostalgic. Man, I miss the 90's.
