Sometimes when we're online, we find ourselves reading an article that we'd normally avoid like the plague. Why? Because we don't have anything else to do at the moment. Afterwards, we may feel, "I can't believe I clicked on this. I'll never get that five minutes of my life back."

So, what "news item" have you recently read that bored you beyond tears...and possibly question your own intelligence? 😄

Oooo goody, I'm so glad I just read about the Spice Girls reunion then not to be outdone I read the vitally important news of McLennan and McCartney! I am so happy that I had wasted ten minutes of my life, ten minutes that I could have spent sweeping the carpet !

I do this all the time! And it's not that I have nothing better to do, it's that I would rather laze around reading stuff on the computer. Articles about trends I don't care about. Articles about TV shows that I don't even watch. Articles about Harry and Meghan. Why do I do it, when I have perfectly good solitaire games on my computer that I can waste time on instead? 😁
 
I can understand the concept of reading stuff on the computer as a way of passing the time, even articles about TV shows I you do not watch but really! why would you admit to reading about Harry and Meghan, don't you have a cheese toasty to make😏?
 
For me it's anything that has to do with Hollywood or reality TV and the phonies that are involved in it. It's so blatantly stupid some of the stuff they get into the headlines for but it's also fun to read about. Megan & Harry suffering the consequences of their own actions, or the Kardashian sisters all having sex with the same Martian alien, or Taylor Swift chewing up and spitting out another boy toy, and all the rap stars being put in jail for doing stupid stuff, all people I don't care about but feel like if you don't read about it that you're missing something. 😝
 
Everything the tabloids talk about these days has me like "why do I need to know that ?"

You are not missing anything by not reading tabloids.

All the Kardashian sisters 🤔 l didn't think they were that close 😝
 
I have to at least somewhat care about it to bother reading it.
But I have read things that I thought would interest me and then it doesn't so I do feel like I wasted time on it.
 
I read things in the gossip mags that I never finished because I gotten to the front of the line so I don't think I wasted my time. And I know what you saying. I know way too much about the Kardashians & that just reading the headlines 😳
 
The truth is that I also waste a lot of time reading legitimate news articles that I feel I should read to be an Informed, Engaged Citizen, and yet I don't really need to know about a lot of these things, unless they affect my region, traffic, or voting!
