Attention: Joan's Vow to 'ship Bangel

I have of course mentioned this is other threads, but I thought an official explanation was in order.

Why, do you ask, is Joan - biggest Spuffy supporter around - sporting a Bangel sig and avatar? Well, if you are so inclined to know, she has converted to 'shipping Bangel for the remainder of the month.

Please, in the interest of helping her along, refrain from sending her anything Spuffy-related, or reccomending Spuffy fics to her until April. It will be too hard for Joan to resist.

Why is she doing this, do you ask? Simple; so she can attempt to understand why people love Bangel so much. So she can understand her favorite show and its fans better.

So, with flourish, Joan christians herself a Official Bangel for the month of March.

She welcomes all comments regarding her recent conversion. 😉

Seriously, I think that's kind of... mature, actually. Most people don't try. Hell, noone tries. As I just said in the Season 8 boards, I'm not exactly Bangel, because to me there is no doubt the show was all about how those two belonged together. It was always very clear to me, even though I didn't particularly liked their relationship. Now that I know Angel better after watching his show, I do have a softness for Bangel. And I really don't understand how people can believe Buffy is meant to be with Spike. Of course I'm not being offensive here, everyone's entitled to their own opinion and I totally respect it but would like to know what makes them think that (every of the few reasons I've seen here and there never really convinced me). It's just, before going to the boards, I honestly didn't think that people, especially so many people, could ship Spuffy. Anyhow, kudos on trying something I might like to experience the other way around.

I've always thought that we should give Xangel a decent chance. There's real fire there, and a love/hate relationship ia always more interesting than a snuggle-fest after about the first three minutes.
